They should bring Bridgton and harrison # 7 back to edaville when its restored. It spent more time in operation at edaville than for the railroad it was origionally built for. It needs edaville just as much as edaville needs steam.
The MNGRR has undergone major changes regarding changes in leadership and restructuring. Furthermore, the museum suffered a fire that destroyed a number of tools and damaged #7. We need your support to keep steam alive! There are very few active steamers left in New England in 2010 (6 that I can think of). Visit mngrr.org and buy a membership and/or donate to the #7 fund today!

Sorry, But what a complete disgrace. This equipment was much better off in Carver MA. I was in Portland last week and noticed complete neglect of a large majority of the equipment. So sad, The salt air and sat spray from the ocean will be the demise of this equipmant. the corrosion has already begun. Please youse your heads people! Get this back to mass. where it can be preserved.
I agree with you. The organization is considering options for a new home with better facilities. If you have any positive suggestions I strongly recommend you help the museum out. They are always accepting new volunteers and private contributions. The banknote originally taken on the equipment when they bought it all from Edaville (to keep the equipment together as opposed to being sold piece by piece in auction) has been burdensome. Now that it is nearly eliminated things can change.
I keep reading in railroad related books that the back cove bridge was burnt circa 1984. But my question is what exactly happened, i cant find any info on what exactly happened.
I was there 12 years ago, and it was mint! That's where I got a souvenir Thomas The Tank Engine train, and I still have it LOL! I wish Nova Scotia had old trains running like Maine does.
After locating an old Western Pacific caboose out in California, this certainly adds to the day. Very artistic shots. Kudos to the engineers, they seem to run the engine professionally.
Thanks to everyone for your comments; glad you enjoyed the video. I may be going up to WW&F for Victorian Christmas, so be looking for #10 here in a few weeks.
Joe, Because I don't like the guy who placed the blue flags...obviously. Those are Maine State Flags that have no bearing on train movement. But I appreciate the vote of confidence in my knowledge of Railroad rules and regulations, Joseph. Next time John and I get a chance to leave you at Sid's its so happening... LOL.
Hey Mike, glad to see you runnin at MNG. However, why did you hook onto a blue flaged train? I see blue flags on the side of the combine you hooked onto. Talk to you later.
