  • Sochie...Sochie....oh god I've never met a more narrow-minded character that I feel so much for.

  • haaaa ! que gran final la puta madre! que genio que sos Tomino!

  • When you see little kids watching a puppeteer reenact the final battle using marionettes, you know a bright future's ahead.

  • @JanusHoW LOL!!!!

  • Sochie needs a hug. ;A;

  • i saw big foot @ 2:17

  • @desepticonmatrix omg, the weirdest spot for a big foot sighting, but you are correct, he is clearly in the background running through the forrest!

  • so Loran choose to take care Dianna for the rest of his life? i mean if the last scene didn't showing that Dianna was sleeping alone, all of us would think that they're married.

  • @ferlyaqua From what I read, they are married, but in Loran's view she's still his queen and thus he would feel it would be wrong to sleep with her. One would hope for everyone's emotional states that he would at least see Sochie from time to time.

  • waht the fuck turn a gundam's pilot is a guy!! Or is she a fucking lesbian !?

  • @yuseihater22255 Tomino wanted to have girl as pilot but he had to change it to pretty boy. Maybe thats why there is scenes were Loran is crossdressing and pretending to be Laura.

  • @Mecha82 Its also odd to state that guin has an obsession with Loran, going as far as to capture him to become the Turn a's pilot [Dunno if this is the true reason], Convincing him to be part of his army, not to mention near at the end, he said "My beloved/precious Laura." Seemed that he didnt have interest in the heim sisters, Dianna or lily.

  • It sounds selfish when you think of Loran being with Dianna ruining Sochie's life. Her sister leaves her, both of her love interests leave her, and she has to live with her mother.

  • the most bitter sweet ending in the history of fiction

  • I think not pairing Sochie and Loran together was sensible. Their characters were polar opposites. Despite their friendship, Loran could never relax around her while Sochie never truly accepted him as her equal. Loran wanted a quiet life while Sochie was a thrillseeker. Kihel had the same problem though not as pronounced. Dianna never treated Loran with anything other than respect and affection, they had the same dreams and they constantly saved each other's arse.

  • So Loran ends up as Diana's little bitch ?

  • oh so the pilot of turn a was a male? i thought he is a female DX

  • @marth186 falling in love with someone doesnt require a reason.

  • Great ending? This was one of the worst and most awkward Anime endings I have ever watched. He abandons the chick whose madly in love with him to live as the princess' BITCH in a cabin in a separate room where he isn't getting any.

I was left scratching my head so bad...

  • 1:30 Go Loran! Yeah! :D

  • Dianne gets what she wants and lives a normal life, and Kihel gets what she wants and lives a life with Harry and gets a bigger role than just a "miner's daughter." Poor Sochie, though, it seems like she didn't end up very happy. I still wonder if Sochie knew that her sister went up to the Moon disguised as Dianne.

  • @AbraxasSword you also notice that throughout the series they were warning Sochie that if she didn't focus on something other than revenge then it would end badly for her. Guess they were right. Poor widow.

  • Niggah stole my gundam

  • I think it's funny that turn a is the correct century that occurs after the universal

  • Sochie got hit pretty hard, living a life with her mother (who may or may not have recovered), losing two love interests and experienced a war first-hand.

  • Just now rethought about the whole series, and I realized a lot about Sochie. She's had so much slow, subtle characterization and development that if Loran would've gotten over his crush for Kihel and Dianna, he would've been perfectly happy with her. She had such a fantastic development process you have to step back and wonder if someone put their own history as her's. Yep, she is now my favorite female Gundam character now.

  • @n147258noah Katejina is clearly the most lovable

  • And this is, ladies and gentlemen, how GUNDAM ended. In such a beautiful way.

  • Wtf if he's married to her why ain't he sleeping in the same bed.

  • So is diana pregnant at the end cause when she was laying in bed her stomach are looked pretty big and round?

  • Wait so did Loran marry queen diana cause i saw a wedding ring on here finger

  • @Redjoker96

I believe Diana lived a simple life with Loran. So they probably did marry. While Kihel went to pose as Diana on the moon.

  • ok, just finished Turn A, its one am and i need to sleep. so im going to let it out here. GOOOOOD DAMMMNNN YOUU, LORAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i swear you better go back to her, cause that isnt fair man.....it isnt fair at all.... *sob* Didn't bat an eye when Gavin died, but you cant leave her like that, FUCK! ok, gonna pull myself and go to bed now.....

  • @le04 Sochie was obsessed with Loran for no reason

  • In these scenes, we can realize that Dianna considers Loran not only his royal knight but a truly man she loved.

in conclusion, the three moonese established their own family and have their new generation. After war, all the houses collapse, but the new progeny form the peace will build more houses on the earth.

  • The "Him", in my mind, may be Loran. We all know that Dianna yearned for the normal life including normal ageing, marriage and death.

Third, the final scene, Dianna stands aside the lake with a cane and smiles her own refection from water. We can realize that means the happiness of a pregnant woman. Otherwise, Loran said "Today's soup turned out great", it means that Loran try to do some change in food to alleviate the expectant women problem of lacking appetite

  • In my opinion, there are three hints to guess the life after war of Loran and Dianna.First, Loran gave goobye kiss to Sochie, and you might find that Dianna try to avoid this scene...hmm..may be some jealous or polite behavior.

Second, in 14th episode about 11:09, Dianna laid on bed and said"i can take Will Game to moon, but my hope is to live with him in earth."

  • Wait a minute! Loran is both a Gundam pilot and a mechanic!?! Could he be the descendant of Amuro Ray and Sayla?

  • If there was a follow up season to this they should give Sochie a Gundam and call it Banshee.

  • @AmuroKazuki It's a locket thing that Loran carried with him when he came down to earth. If I remembered correctly, they're required to carry no moon clothes.

  • Kill All Tomino may be gone, but Tomino is still a heartbreaker.

  • Just finished watching it. I would like to say i like the ending, but because of Sochie's bad ending, it really destroy my image of happy ending. Poor Sochie >.<

  • did i heard yoko kano song called moolight or is it moon?

  • @WatchGamer Tsuki no Mayo

  • God I love this ending..

  • this anime seems great^^

  • It's funny that Loran who has basically the world and who has fought hard for loved ones and piloted the ultimate mobile suit, later appears as a mere driver for a family. For a hero of his caliber, he would usually get a better treatment or award. Not that Loran wanted something special though.

  • Banager in Unicorn when he becomes "God" sees the distant future of turn-a.

  • This is my favorite Gundam ending of all time. It sums up perfectly what the series is about.

  • ∀ is gonna be dubbed for the us yes!

  • ターンタイプとギンガナムは〝彼ら〟の力が必要になった時に〝目覚める〟と思う。

  • I still think Loran made an respectable decision, though a relationship like that I don't see him having a child with the Queen. Ah well. Is there any OVA's regarding to this series?

  • Loran is a guy but to keep the peace for earth race and moon people they had to dress him as a girl on two episodes and it was really funny if they only dubbed or translated it cool series though.

  • this ending was so bad for Sochie. I liked her more than Kiel Heim or Diana. Tomino meee!!

  • i dont understand the story.... all the robots arelike beyond gods

  • @12ock actually all gundam from the main universe are pretty realistic. it's the newtypes that makes them godlike. All those really out of the world gundams are not from this universe.

  • Does anyone know what that noise is at 5:52 ? Did someone outside shoot a swan or something?

  • @thepriest314 that was queen dianna getting into bed the sound was supposed to be her getting under her covers

  • or is loran a boy O_o

  • LESBIANS! on 1:33

  • @phillipe113 Loran is a guy.

  • @thepriest314 OMFG NEVER KNEW THAT THOUGHT HE WAS A GIRL TWIST!!!

  • @phillipe113 The person with white hair is a guy

  • @Roxasofmalice looks and almost speaks like a girl, that guy.... '~'

  • If wasn't for the title, one may think this is a Miyazaki Hayao film, it's too good to be a Gundam series, the character designs, the background, the story, so peaceful

  • Okay, I got a lot of questions. I don't watch a lot of Gundam series except this one which I think is the best. This is the last Gundam series that ends it all, correct? This is after every Gundam series correct? Even the after the newer series that aired? I love how Sochie screams at the end! So sad and it's like she's mad at the world. Also the part where Kihel is watching the Black/Dark History. It's so sad. I love it.

  • @Folowne actually gundam 00 is in an alternate universe so its not included in turn a

  • @Redjoker96 Sorry. The last Gundam I watched was Turn A. Only know it up to that point. But if what you say is true. I'll be damned. LOL. Thanks for info. Might watched them someday.

  • @Folowne

The Turn A series is the distant future of ALL Gundam series (Orginal, Zeta, ZZ, Unicorn, Victory, G, X, Wing, SEED) except 00 (not confirmed yet but I doubt it) and AGE (not confirmed yet). The C.C. (Correct Century) timeline includes both U.C. and A.U. (Alternative Universe) universes but I think it ultimately qualifies as a A.U.

  • @Omegamegamanzx Thanks. I have looked into it on Wikipedia. I've understood some of the timeline and everything. With all the new Gundam titles, I really didn't bother watching them after Turn-A. I really liked Turn-A a lot. I do hope this is the last one. I mean if this is the last insert into the timeline then we all know that the new Gundam series that happen before Turn-A will be alright. I want to see the series progress after Turn-A. Is there a series like that? Thanks.

  • @Folowne

There are no series to date that occurs AFTER Turn A, so far it seems to the "Final" Gundam series until they decide to make something that occurs after it. Probably most of the new series like 00 and AGE will occur in a different timeline and will not lead to Turn A (SEED was only added on short notice I think).

  • Turn A has the ugliest Gundam design of the entire series but it's THE best story-telling Gundam story of the series. Turn A is bit different than all the other series because it lacks the big Gundam fights (except the ending), space battle, etc.. A few of my friends who detest Gundam series that they thinks it's for kids and nerds, but even they gave this series a try after weeks of talk.. they immediately loved it.

  • @nekochen Turn A is design by Syd Mead. I don't want to sound racist here but fact is fact. He's caucasian.

  • @nekochen Turn A is a light story that features the lives of people that have changed by romance, war, and feelings of humanity, not the lives of people horrified by the war.

This show is overlooked by others but I love it because this story ends the entire UC,FC,AC,AW eras entirely and it ends happily which was Amuro,Kamille,Judau and others wanted and the story takes the other view of war.People should watch Turn A Gundam.

  • @nekochen It also lacks the guy in the mask. Although that role could be assigned to Harry with his glasses.

  • Comment removed

  • very underated series with one of the best endings to date.

  • all the gundams of the past wars where incredible but so where thier pilots but even now in turn A, only one gundam remains and zeon mobile suits live again.

    Hail zeon. Zeek zeon!!!

  • this is officially my favorite gundam series. If you havent watched this entire series you have to watch it. The story is incredible there's nothing it can be compared to.

  • ugg can someone please explain what the hell is going on 4:27 why do they have information on past events in the u.c timeline???

  • @P00nez There is an archive on the Moon with the footage. The event in Turn A Gundam is about 10000 years after Turn A destroyed earth, which is in the distant future of the U.C. timeline.

  • @seravi so are you saying that turn A is suppose to be the ending to the u.c time line, and is the reason why the tech in turn A is like the 19th century tech

  • @seravi so time is repeating a little with all the old vehicles and stuff?

  • Comment removed

  • @seravi not just UC, every gundam series that existed at the time links up to Turn A.

  • @ShinyaMerveilles666 Not every gundam series,I believe Gundam 00 is really different and Sunrise did not accept Anno Domini into the Dark History

  • @hhamor i only said every one at the time. so every gundam series after the making of turn a could be a completely different universe. and seeing as gundam 00 is AD, youre probably right

  • @seravi Actually it is only 2400ish years after Turn A destroyed the Earth. It was about 10,000 years after the START of UC though. So technically speaking, if we had still been using the UC Timeline, this would be the year 10,000 UC (roughly).

  • @P00nez

This R created by the original maker who recovered from depression (the Victory gundam was made during / before depression )

i would go into a huge fanfic topic right now, but i think the best thing to do now is to tell u that, by making a reference to a former piece of work, and not explaining it fully, makes the story very very VERY entertaining

  • 4:48 rx78???? i gave up wacthing tun a but what time line is it in and why do they have all the past history events in there computer memory?

  • @P00nez i just relaized that the gundam series has had every race has a main gundam pilot. Thats what you call great, dont see that in many animes.

  • the song that played through is really beautiful

  • Wow!! I hardly know the characters or story, but seeing this ending almost made my heart break T_T

  • @Bonesdman It probably would make your heart break if you had seen the series. It's a very bittersweet ending. This is supposed to be a work representing Tomino coming out of his depression (since there was little character death), but the drama that is created instead feels very real. Especially the situation between Loran, Dianna, and Sochie. It's obvious that Loran has feelings for Sochie, but he chooses to be by Dianna's side.

  • this show was a rarety in the gundam franchise to me it felt like gundam with out being gundam. its hard to explain. the designs were very unique and interesting. and the art style seemed like myiozaki(princess mononoke) to me. it was a compelling story though.

  • this is the best gundam series in my book. so wonderful. and that black history being people from different centuries. this is the gundam that should be watched after all gundams are over. everything.. will merge...timewise.... creating turn a. its the gundam to end all gundams. ^^ at least thats what i think

  • I get the ending about Dianna and Loran. Loran is just taking care of her she walking with a cane there something wrong with her, she must be dying on the inside.

  • Aaaaand poor Loran never got laid.

  • After watching every single Gundam series/movies (Excluding Gundam X). This had to be the best, complete, and most satisfying ending of all. It left you with no questions at the end. By far my favorite Gundam series as well, Zeta had its throne taken after this.

  • the day tomino passes away is the day gundam dies no one in this world can match up with his genius

  • @13DJX13 Indeed, it will be a sad day in Japan/ and to Gundam fans everywhere.

  • @madpat2007 UC will be infected with cancer of yaoi fan service like seed and destiny

  • @13DJX13 Yeah I really hate these Yaoi designs! Especially in that horsehit Seed

  • @madpat2007 i never really cared but seed jus had scenes that was close to the meaning gay

  • really? why couldnt dianna stay with soichie and loran togather? seriously... it could save money as well

  • What happened to Loran and Sochie?

  • too sad...

  • Poor Sochie :( Tomino really knows how to treat his characters.

  • nice ending, same level to zeta in my mind

  • The Earth is comfortable again, do not use much CO2, and use oil and cars and too much machines to help....wich they are doing again...

  • Just wait, in time we will destroy our selves in one way or another, and billions will die bringing the world back into some form of balance again either from decease, war, or some other predictable and avoidable scenario do to our laziness and obsession with wealth and shiny toys and trinkets.

  • @Zeoncomrade I agree.

  • I really enjoyed this ending. It wasnt as depressing as I thought it would be considering Tomino was the director. I do have a question though. Did Loran marry Dianna or did she receive the ring from one of the Will Games? I skimmed the Will episodes again and didnt she her get a ring from either of the Wills, but I may have missed it. Oh yeah, Sochie did get really cute in the end. Its too bad about her, but at least she still alive (once again considering the director and his track record)

  • Tomino left his depression by the time he started Turn A

  • @trey18v I think he married her, but it's more symbolic. She's dying, her real age is catching up with her and he takes care of her in final days.

  • @trey18v loran and dianna entered into a sexless marriage at the end of the series from what it says on wikipedia

  • @trey18v loran is with Dianna, who its implied that everyone still thinks is kihel except for Harry, Loran, and KIhel herself

  • @trey18v Ok, for 1, Tomino recovered from a LONG depression that did color his earlier work, which explains why it was mostly happy. Second,Yes, they do marry. Third, Sochie does get shortchanged in the end: Her sister is now ruling the moon, her crush is married to someone else, and she gets to deal with her insane mother. Sure, she's running the Heim's business affairs, but she does get shortchanged emotionally.

  • @trey18v tomino made victory f91 etc when he was in a state of depression turn A was made when he was not depressed

  • @trey18v The only thing I found wrong with the ending was the pairing of Loran and Dianna. I was personally cheering for Loran and Sochie myself, I think that would have been slightly more realistic and would have probably warmed my heart a lot more than Loran and Dianna did. Probably because you see how much Dianna was in love with the first Will Game and she doesn't display that level of affection for Loran but you can tell, even when she says she hates him, that Sochie does.

  • Best. EnDING. EVER!!!

  • Poor Sochie. You can definitely feel her anguish in that lost shot of her crying out towards the night sky.

  • and that was lady kihel he left with

thats why they said lets keep

    this secret to our selfs

and thats why they didnt show her face

    when she left into space

because you can tell the difference by there eyes.

  • ugh, loved this series so much!

but god i felt so bad for Sochie

    how Loran just left her.

    wish Loran stayed with her.

  • this ending is one endings in the anime. why is so in depth.

  • man why does loran put up with dianna? so he marries her and travels the world with her, why? i dont understand!! why did they not just stayed with sochie?

  • I really dunno if u can say Loran married dianna... i really dont understand the ending of this.. and it still makes me wonder what exactly is the relationship.... but i would admit that Turn A was def a diff approach towards Gundam...

Nothing beats Gundam Wing tho... !

  • @XSeed8 no i dont think he married her, at least they're not sharing the same bed. i think loran's role here is to take care of dianna until she dies, u can see her centuries-old body is getting rather fragile and she needs a cane to stand...

rather sad ending for sochie who seemed to have feelings for loran since episode 2? ...

one of the best endings ever...

  • but still, why did he have to leave sochie and the others? i just think that dianna is being too selfish if she's having him be with her and take care of her and not even give him sex. i mean come on

  • I couldn't sleep the night after I finished the series. I couldn't stop thinking on this ending! I was so moved, but I cannot say how I feel about it all. It kind of blew my mind?

  • Best Gundam series, no question........

Sochie ends up quite attractive in the ending but Dianna rules!

  • 今回ソシエはロランと一緒にいるのがディアナだって分かってるんですかね?

  • best Gundam Series ever. I coiuld have used some more character death but I am twisted in that way. Seriously more people need to watch Turn a Gundam, it is SO good.

  • Comment removed

  • @sagail What? I was saying what a great ending this was and how more people should watch this show NOT if it was original or easy to understand. Maybe I am just stupid but what you said made no sense.

By the way what is with the cya? It makes you sound like you wont dignify us "average people" with a response. Not to mention it feels like you are looking down on everyone who made a comment on this video. But I could be wrong....

  • im apologize, it wasn´t my intention, maybe i got too excited from finally be able to begin a forum topic analyzing this sagas. u.u'

and indeed, ill correct myself, it wasn´t my intention to sound too "agressive". Ill correct myself, this saga was just the gift for the 20th anniversary of this series from Tomino itself and the original purpose was to join or give tribute to the universes released from that years. i hope to be more kind next time, cya... ._.'

  • What a beautiful ending :)

  • ok.. for real, is Loran a guy or girl, havnt seen the anime, jus want o now.

  • Loran is a guy, however to really mess with you, he dresses as a girl a couple of times lol. I'm not kidding

  • Might be due to the fact that he originally was supposed to be a girl, but sunrise wouldn't let Tomino have a female lead.

  • Reportedly Tomino wanted a female protagonist but executives wouldn't let him so that's why he looks so girly.

  • that would explain a lot, thanks!

  • That's just speculation. There's been no confirmation about it whatsoever.

  • It does explain the crossdressing.

  • A lot of Gundam series have depressing endings, but I think Turn A's is the saddest, what with Sochie and all. Everyone's basically happy but her.

  • @DelzaArmy not at all. she finally have his mother recovered from her trauma. But she´s sad cause she finally understand what was Loran for her and shouts just for thks to him.

Dianna looks like she's finally dead at the end. she has just rest in peace with Loran. cya...

  • @sagail I think you misinterpreted something. Sochie's mom does NOT recover from the trauma. Sochie is basically stuck caring for her crazy mother for the rest of her life. The end of this series is NOT happy for Sochie at ALL, and I think it would cheapen it a lot if Tomino gave everyone a happy Hollywood ending like that. It was war. Lives were ruined. The End.

  • @Kechiang

You're right. Plus, her husband, though only married briefly, got killed in battle too.

  • @Kechiang Yes, I felt awful for Sochie at the end of this, Loran didn't choose to be with her as she had hoped. Her sister went to the moon. and she was left alone to care for her mother screaming at the night. :(

  • at 1:40, why was the girl crying?

  • At 4:27 was she watching the information or something about the past when Amuro's first Gundam?

  • Great ending I do want to know if Diana Soreil dies of the whole aging process or if she just lived on. The ending suggests that she does live on but needs a cane but the final scene of Loran closing the door might mean that she's dying...I don't know. I do feel sorry for Sochie though but I guess that's classic Tomino Kill em all and leave love interests in teh dust.

  • @MCPhatman this is classic from Tomino. even in his happiest stories gives a novel-like ending.

nice Gundam for be the one which gives an ending point for all the universes. cya..

  • lorans a boy who names a boy loran wtf lol and the hair?

  • They really screwed Sochie over in the series.

  • turn a gundam: drop the biggest bombshell known in the gundam series

  • this needs to come out in english, subtitles confused me alot.

  • Might come as a stupid question but is loran a boy?

  • Loran is a boy. We did see him swimming naked in one episode :P

  • lolz Loran is a boy, and sometimes he's disgused as a girl.

  • lol oops im sorry lol

  • @seravi whats the name of the song played through out the ending and who sings it I have wondered ever since i first this anime. do u think u can fill me?

  • @thefatman69dude The song is "Tsuki no Mayu" by "Aki Okui". Download it here: gendou.com/amusic/?filter=Tsuki+no+Mayu

  • The writers wanted him to be a girl. Sunrise wasn't going to have any of that.

    Kinda influenced his final look.

  • @Luxray337 Well duh, he kissed Sochie, didn't he? And he was diggin' on Dianna throughout the whole series

  • @Luxray337

I can understand your confusion over Loran being a boy. After all one main character called him by the feminine form of his name leading to an entire side thinking he was a girl, and to compound that he ended up playing along and was cross dressing as a girl at one point. >_<

  • Well, Turn A was meant to be an Aesop about weapons tech taken too far - its Moonlight Butterfly was capable of reaching Jupiter from Earth's surface. It was designed for insterstellar warfare. It does raise the question of whether humans ever got *beyond* its range, though, and where they are now...

  • Comment removed

  • dam i wanted sochie and loran to be together:(

    stupid diana

  • people complain about freedom being overpowered then wat is turn a. this thing is impossibly hightech and powerful.

  • i wonder how advance the interstellar conlines r now. dey probably so advance that there beam rifles can wipe a whole planet of life with just one shot. lol

  • lol thats the power of turn a's original beam rifle not the remade one.

  • holy shit then the conloies at this point must have giant laser that wipe of galxies

  • well lol those newtypes from distant planets are like way advanced.

  • Actually, aside
