  • some idiot ruin beautiful rifle by sporterized it

  • @tny0061 Yes they certainly did, but at least part of the original stock was still present with it.

  • If rifles could talk.

  • Excellent Condition

  • IVE GOT THE BAYONET FOR THIS/

  • 7,92 was the standard rifle round for a mauser in WW1.....

  • i had to change my name from OctoborRevolution1 to OctoberRevolution11.ok

  • awesome rifle. im hoping one day ill get a rifle like that.

  • @OctoberRevolution1 I have said that about many rifles. Russian SKS, M1 Garand, 1903 Springfield, Chatellerault M91 Mosin Nagant, K98. Patience is a big factor, then pulling the trigger on the right deal. You'll get there, you just gotta play your cards for a while, and lay them out when the time is right.

  • It looks like that barrel has been proofed 3 times in its life.

  • its nice your serial number is 3000,whats the chance of that!!??

  • Here's an interesting thing,7.92x57 is usualy reffered to as 8mm Mauser and if you look at the round dimmensions which someone has kindly posted on Wiki with the link to where it came from too,the 7.92 is avtually bigger than 8mm ,8.09mm around the waist of the bullet,on measuring some rounds i have here they are 8.20mm in diameter around the waist of the bullet, talk about huge variances in dimensions!!

  • The S on the barrel means .323 inch diameter bullet. Use 8mm mauser JS ammo ie common surplus. If not already a member check out the surplusrifle fourm. Cheers

  • Ok thats good info. I am not as well read up on Mausers and Mauser ammunition as I am compared to Mosin Nagants. You suppose I could find a stock on the surplusrifle forums? I have certainly frequented the sight many, probably hundreds of time seeking info and the pictorial disassembly sequences of various firearms.

  • I got a Gew98 off of Gunbroker that is missing the spring follower and was used as a single shot, was a vet bringback for the dufflecut in the stock, not bad for what it was.

Good video there Marshal, look forward to more videos, good find.

  • Nice find. Great video.

  • cool rifle , really like the way you show your rifle bores in ur vids its pretty unique

    5stars .

  • All my Canadian friends are hairy, drunk, dudes. Very nice rifle for $150. Did you ever finish that SKS?

  • Yea man, SKS was finished a week ago! Check my channel, it's the Final Chapter vid.
