@MrSpazchow What people don't get about comic books these days is that in order to keep the 60 year old american comic heroes fresh is to make different adaptations of them, which in a way it never makes them too old, boring, drawn out and end up no where, I admire all batman iterations from adam west to michael keaton to bale I say those who dislike one batman iteration isn't really a fan of batman they just think batman is supposed to be stuck in the 80s comic version
@Jaegar19Ultima Well there is 7 live action movies, 8 animated movies, 3 animated movies with Superman, 2 movie serials, 1 live action TV show, 7 animated TV shows, Justice League, Super Friends, Young Justice, Thousands of comic books and graphic novels, dozens of video games & countless parodies. I'd say there's plenty of versions to choose from.
@MrSpazchow yeah, it's just that with the way things are these days everyone has this engraved idea of batman and they think batman is this and nothing more when I can't help but look back at it's roots and the 60s batman captures that perfectly, all of this craze of realism is good in a sense but that's with america's obsession with violence and quite frankly things are crazy as it is, I don't have any expectations of batman but there are some that just do so to the point of facepalming.
On the show, you never saw either character with his suit on and mask off. It was always all Bruce or all Batman. Whereas in the comix, Bats takes his mask off but leaves the suit on in the batcave all the time. So it's kinda interesting to see them with the masks off but still wearing the superhero suits.
Adam and Burt were the best combo, although Lyle looked more like the Bruce Wayne of the DC comic magazine. It's too bad that producers decided to take the show in a "campy" direction instead of drama, like the George Reeves Superman series.

I still can't believe they gave Adam West this role, he couldn't act for s***.

@tryithere would you have preferred Mayor Waggoner as the mayor of Quahog in Family Guy. Glad they gave the role to Adam West.

This show rocks it's funny as hell. A lot of fanboys piss on it because they want grim and gritty Batman. I say theres room for both.

Lyle Wagoner is more Green Hornet than Batman. Or possibly Aquaman in the upcoming Kevin Smith film...

Lyle certainly looked the part but Peter was probably a bit too geeky to work as Robin.
