Wow, this is NOT Splinter Cell. This is a bastardized, arcade version. A twitch shooter that doesn't even take twitch skill - queuing up attacks? Seriosuly? This isn't Fallout 3 with VATS, or FEAR with slo-mo, this is Splinter Cell... You are supposed to sneak and outwit. Shooting was almost impossible in earlier SC games for a good reason.

I just recently played through Chaos Theory again and enjoyed every second of it. Too bad I won't get anything like that in Convictions. :(

one thing i dont get is why the mission objective is shown on the environment... what if you miss it? and you have no idea what to do? i think it should be a video or something in the beginning of the next mission so that you get your objective in a normal way...

I'm so psyched to get this. Splinter Cell is one of my favorite game series and it's been long since SC: Double Agent. I am a bit worried about the pace of Sam though. I guess I'm too used to the slower paced/stealth strategy from the last games. This one amplifies all of Sam's moves, but the strategy seems to come more from mark/execute than from adapting to the environment with showdows and slow/patient tactical thinking. I do hope they bring back the SWAT turn from Pandora Tomorrow.

Graphics are good, but not the best, the A.I. seems to be rather thick, and the game still seems to be very linear, something I never liked about stealth games. And he keeps talking about it like it's really new and good, but most of these things have been done before. Also, projecting movies at the environment sounds like a stupid idea. Of course, I will not judge this game as bad before I get to play it.
