Yes, our eyes are not that fast to begin with. But in standard movies, 24fps is good enough to be seen by human as a smooth continuous video. But during gaming the picture is rendered no different than in movies, but when you move the picture or if there's a fast moving object in the picture, if it's low frame rate then you can see the individual frame rates than is been rendered. That is why you see the choppiness of the picture, and you know that system is not smooth for that game.
Try running a demanding game like Crysis and set it to the highest, then during the game look left to right as fast as you can and you'll see the frame rate. You can even use a camera or camcorder and you'll see it clearly when it's stopped. An ideal game performance, shouldn't have any noticeable frame rate/choppiness when watching it directly using our eyes. But that really depends on everyone, whether they like performance over quality and vice versa.
actually i the eye can onlly see 23fps, the reason for sluggishness in games at 23fps in cause the textures loading, say you have a camera thats 200fps, that is only smoothness, fps are calculated differently from the eye and electronic devices
no its not, the human eye can only see 23fps, but games running at say 60fps are smoother than 30fp to use even though we can only see 23 fps. because eye fps and game fps are completely different
I would finish my argument but you are a complete fuck tard
In a low light situation (no other lights than from a monitor/screen) our eyes can only process aproxamatly 23-24 frames of infomation per second
It bright light situations we can sense lag or can visually see that there's a gap between frames when it's at 24 fps so going up to 31 fps eliminates this problem
I run 1680x1050 on very high everything turned up all the way on a dual GTX 280, benches well above 50 everywhere on vista ultimate. I like the natural mod, I got alot of frames more when I synced my ram (ddr3 2000, dumped it to 1800) with the FSB. My q9550 is at 3.8 with a 1800 fsb. Sure you could do a single 260, but that's silly on this game. the Scaling for SLI is over 70% now, so 2 260's is good. Or do 2 280's like me yay. Good vid.
hey thanks man, yeah im useing 2 gtx 260, in sli and i have noticed that 70% incresse its freakin amazing with everything on very high. alote of people bitch and complain about this game but thats because their computers suck ass lol
am getting a 2.83ghz quad core (core 2 Quad q9550)4gb of 1333mhz DDR3 RAM and an Asus GeForce ENGTX260 896mb graphic card so how high can i put the graphics on this game???
Im getting a GTX 260, Asus P5Q deluxe, E8500, G.Skill-PI 4GB Kit (2x2G) DDR2 1100 and was wondering if this wud be sufficent enuf to run crysis? is anything bottlenecking anythig else?
i have a GTX 250 over clocked to 650mhz i CANT RUN IT ON VERY HIGH i get like 25Fps 30 fps in short view distance forest scenes 19fps near builidings and shit ITS HORID whats slowing me down? AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6hz 2gb RAm DDr2 EVGA Geforce GTX 260 Superclocked+ 7200Rpm 320gb harddrive WHAT THE HELL IS SLOWING ME DOWN IM SOO PISSED
first of all, what resoulation are you playing the game at? and what type of ram are you useing and how fast is it? does your ram have low latency and does it run at 800 mhz or higher? is it gameing ram? dual channel maybe????? if so this will help with the issue.?? let me know of this info
ok for starters 25 or even 30 fps is good cause the human eye can't see past 23 i think something like that. which means it still should be smooth, but if your getting lag like a mother fucker i reccomend getting some hyper dual channel memory that runs at 800 mhz or more depending on the mother board specs, and your own choise to spend. or you could even get a better cpu with a biger bus line maybe at 1333 with 6 mb, of cash. that helps or get both, you have a cpu or a memory problem.
ok for the moment you have been waiteing for the video is finaly uploaded! i hope it's done processing, anyways here is the video name crysis gtx260,very high, 1280 by 1024 bench ........... if you can't find it in the search engine then locate it in my profile :) enjoy
ok i am going to make the video right now, ill just call you extrema since it's shorter, ill do a small bench in the video then some gameplay then i will upload it.
If you could I thank you. I don't know wich video card to buy, GTX 280 or GTX 260, if the 260 play this configs (1280x1024,V.High , 16aa) with a good FPS I'll buy it, but if doesn't...
ok i will do it right now so stick around for the update. i will tell you how many fps i get, Note i am useing a Beta Driver, so performances varys depending on setup and drivers!
ok heres the thing, i will back up my claims with a video that you want proveing this card to play at the required settings that you want, if you subscribe right now asap! i promise u i will make a video right now

so can i play crysis on very high with this???

yes you can, but if your thinking about going with higher resoulations i recomend going sli or even tri sli. for an example 1680 by 1050

(pinktoonie as aryanenzo)
my RAM is a DDR2-5300 thats all i know
my resolution is 1440X900
i simply dont understand whats causing it to LAG SO MUCH
it should be running at 30 fps but its running at 18fps!!!!
this is crazy
i think it might be my AMD Athlon 64x2 5200+ cpu thats causing it to be so slow

it's 60 fps, but for some reason, in crysis , passing 30fps, looks really smooth so w/e
yorchais 3 years ago
yeah man thats all you need is 30 or even 26 fps, reason being the human eye cant see past 24 fps so saying that 30 is more then enough.
