Cool project. But why do people buy wheels and tires first? Most self restore jobs take a couple years at least, and by then the tires are rotten and the wheels are out of style.
@rondogwil 1, if you like the style of wheel, it never goes "out of style". 2, cars being restored sometimes need be moved for various reasons. Keeping relatively fresh tires can aid in that... and a couple of years isn't going to rot tires.

Some times, like this time, the project actually came with those wheels and tires. So it's one step closer to being done.
