Idk about the people who lived here all their lives but coming from someone who has lived there for about 5 months all I have to say is that this city I absolutely loved! Friendly people, it's beautiful, and it has just about every store that my hometown has plus a lot more.

If you are thinking about moving here we'll don't. Try kansas city or oklahoma city their kinda the same but move at a much quiker pace hell I would even say topeka or overland park are better places to live if you want the small town feel.

Im sorry fellow wichitians but we need to start being honest with ourselves...our city is lame! Growth here is slow and people here thinh backwards. They vote no to casinos and then ban smoking? Really? There is no opprrtunity here everyone is getting laid off. Wichita state is lame terrible teaching and no football team. We are the biggest city in yhe state but yet we have no football team?!!! Everyone here is against progression...its like we are stuck in the 70's or somthing.

So the idea you have for making a good video is to pan, zoom in, zoom out, pan? Try to 1. stop zooming and have a set shot. 2. Know what your goal is for the shoot. 3. Get a tripod and set up your shots for editing. 4. If you do have to walk and shoot or do not have a tripod hold the camera in both hands and use the screen insted of the viewer, it takes the shakes away and makes for better shots.

Nice job. I love Wichita. Well maybe love is a little strong but I like it fine, there is plenty to do if you look around a little. Unless you are not happy without an ocean or mountain nearby, which some people must have and that's fine. I disagree with those who say it is boring or lacks scenery, I lived in Seattle area for a year and a half and while it was nice to visit, I prefer the slower pace in Wichita and I can afford a decent house with one income. Of course my family is here too.

It all depends what you are looking for in a town. I am from Texas and I love it there. But Wichita is a bit boring, but it is a good place to raise kids with a low crime rate and so forth. My main grip is the lack of scenery. Lakes, mountains, ocean, etc. Flat as a pancake. But otherwise a good city.

This video was pretty cool you got balls to hang out and video out on Kellogg aka hell highway.. lived in Wichita for a couple of years it was nice just didn't have family with me so it sucked during holidays but other than that the people were nice. lived in west wichita didn't really have to go to the east side because everything I needed was right in my back yard loved it, cost of living was awesome, may end up going back if it don't work out back home in Arizona...

I moved here to work at Cessna, but have been laid off and am currently looking for another place to live while becoming self-employed. Good things about Wichita (to me) low cost of living, easy to get around, very little traffic, lots of sunshine. Bad things (to me): absolutely no topography - this is the flattest place ever, very windy (don't get to fly RC much), way too hot in summer, and almost all roads are in a grid pattern (I ride a motorcycle for fun, no curves is annoying).

I lived there for over 30 years. It was a nice city to raise kids in, back in the 60's and 70's; but it changed. The 'leaders' cant decide if they want to be a real city or just a big town. There are about 5 weeks during the year that its 'comfortable' to walk. Other than that its 10 degress or lower, 99 or higher and the damned wind ALL THE TIME!

i live in wichita kansas too. the south broadway area. this would be a good city without all the drugs. we do have a nice city but i live on a busy street where everytime i go out to my car, i get asked for money, cigarettes or drugs. our family has had this house since 1895, when this was a real nice city.

I am a Wichitan (someone who lives in Wichita, Kansas) and I find it funny that in a Mexican video of Wichita there isn't any shots of the north-central metro Wichita where most of the mexican population live in this city. I lived there and gang violance and crime was off the charts. If you doubt this look it up in the local city newspaper and city police reports of 2007.

I live in Wichita, and my main complaint about it is that I might as well be living in Mexico. Wichita hates that all these Mexicans are moving here and taking over the whole town. If it weren't for the Mexicans, I'd never have to wait in line at a Quik Trip, or a Bank, or a Grocery line. I'd never be stuck behind one in traffic. There'd be less crime. Go back to Mexico!!
