chainsaw with one hand, above the head, no notch, no double cuts, no helmet on the ground, no chainsaw protection, nothing safe...good to show to the classrooms and say, look....DON'T DO THAT
It was an Arizona Ash that had already dropped two large limbs and posed a threat to my car and roof. It has been replaced by two different species of oak trees that are currently flourishing in the same general location. It was a good decision as far as I'm concerned.
Thanks to the guy in the tree. He is going to encourage OSHA or ANSI to enforce chaps be worn at all times, even when working in the tree. Thanks a lot for your one handed chainsaw operation! I'll be looking forward to the heat and comfort of working with chainsaw pants in the tree.
Im no pro and niether are those guys even I know that wedges should have been used on the trunk and whats with waving the saw around like Harry Potter, taking small Limbs off literally, two hands on the saw nobjocky!
Oaks grow extremely slowly, especially from seed (acorn). Get a pistachio tree to make your wife happy and plant your acorn too but it will need a cage around it for years to protect it from accidental lawnmowing and such.
The guy who cut it down said Arizona Ash smells like dog crap when it is burned. The other kid took some for campfires but said he was only going to use it on windy nights.
The question of the day is is if you planted that accorn nut, will you be here to see it grow, 100 feet? I hope so!!!!! George you are a cool guy!!! I want you to come here to Kansas and get drunk with me!!!!!!!!! I have plenty to drink!!!!! That is if you like wine. If you want beer just let me know and I will make a shitload so we won't run out!! You rock!!!
I hate to see any tree taken in it's prime George i really do... Ask HHJ about trees he could tell you a few stories... I think it would rock to plant the oak... 5*****s... Mo'PHoKaS RuLe!!! KluTz

It always makes me sad when I see big healthy trees being cut down. The heart of this tree seemed fine, there was no rot.
Would it not have been possible to trim it back instead?

the first saw used up a height was a 020 and the second saw used on ground was a 036 or an 044 bit more expeirience needed especially your groundsman

To add insult to injury....the executioners are glorified landscrapers....not arborists.
