  • How do you keep the camera so steady? Do you have some sort of mount or something?

  • where u takeoff from from

  • WTF? when did the plane land??

  • A landing softer than a baby's ass

  • That's an amazingly smooth landing!! I only realised he had touched down when I saw the spoilers rise.

  • Kitűnő videó!Élmény volt velük repülni.A Singapore Airlines tényleg szuper légitársaság!

  • Absolutely beautiful video :D

  • my birth country, i still dont believe it i live in holland now :/

  • where did you fly from

  • @456flight I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Singapore..

  • @nighthawk0077 Did you see the heading title?? It said SYDNEY!!

  • @tonyde52 easy there, he asked where the flight originated from, not the destination

  • Very Smooth Landing!

  • nice landing

  • was this seat 32k?

  • flawless landing...ALWAYS!!! brought to you by Singapore Airlines!!

  • Great as always Hacki - that was some smooth landing!

  • omg this is the most realistic fs video ive ever seen

  • good camera handling

  • 翼とぶら下がっているエンジンがいいですね!

  • ohh i love that wingflex..

  • wow thiz is cool what dose it take to b soo good i only have 1 video on all planes its nothing much realy

  • Sydney is a nice country

  • @rpg481

When has Sydney become a country?

  • very nice landing!

    thank you!

  • Beautiful sunset shot

  • awesome video!! and just a smooth touchdown

    thanks a lot

  • go singapore airlines

  • Those are Pratt's PW4000's I believe. Nice landing a little too early when he retarded the thrust, but it still led to real nice touchdown.

  • what are those wing flaps at 4:26 when they're closing?

  • Slats. increase chord length of the wing sufrace producing more lift at higher AOA's and thus at slower speeds. They compensate for energy loss at lower speeds when flaps are extended.

Slats are on the leading edge, flaps (drag inducing) are on the trailing edge. Hope it helps!

    Regards to all.

  • @wowdude999 These are the flaps, they are raised on takeoffs and landings to slow the plane downwhen landing/provide extra lift when takeoff. They are retracted during the flight.

  • Cool vid, love the wings doing all sorts of fancy things upon landing.

  • God bless you for this great videos.....how can you record it unshakely like that ??!!!

  • Wow awesome view. I love the sound of the engine and great landing. But it got alittle spooky as it closer to the runway cuz of the water.

  • Very smooth ride, nice landing ,great sounds and steady hand with the camera, great video !

  • Singapore airlines is pretty nice to fly in...good service.

  • Great video but the engines looked a little more loose than normal. Just before/on touchdown, the engines were shaking a lot!

  • where did you takeoff? Nice video!

  • I guess he took off from Singapore as it's Singapore Airlines... when I went to Melbourne I made a stop in Singapore too but I was with British Airlines and then with Qantas! AMAZING!

  • I guess you're right... This was shortly filmed before Singapore 380 (First Commercial flight of the a380) so it should fit in. : )

  • that's a beautiful sunset or a sunrose. But either way i love the sun glare

  • @Ilivemindfreak

Since Sydney is on the eastern side of Australia it's probably sunrise. Also the glassy smooth sea suggests it's early morning.

  • very nice video I love flying singapore airlines

  • it is a beyoooootiful bird... very nice engine noise too !

  • Nice video :)

  • great plane, great landing, great vid.

  • Great video i love it !!!

  • Thanks for the ride! Felt like i was a passenger. Post more please!!

  • Brilliant!!! Fantastic job mate!

  • superb video. thanks for uploading!

  • Outlandish video quality. Fabulous.

  • AVIATION WOO! love IT!

    CANT WAIT FOR MY TURN!

  • I'm gonna go on a flgiht soon, can anyone tell me how to keep a camera straight on an airplane, like this video.

  • aah this is the classic runway 34L approach for flights coming from the west (SE Asia, Melbourne, Perth etc).. fly over to the Tasman sea over a point b/w Wollongong and Nowra..then take a left until aligning on final and cross Botany Bay before touchdown... this seems like SQ221 (the early morning arrival) .this flight's now operated by the A380

  • At first, i saw how high they were off the ground, i was like this must be 10 minutes, but its only 4 in an half, wow! Never knew planes can decrease in height so fast even a 747! (Im no plane expert)

  • I made this comment within the first 20 seconds. I didnt know he skipped alot.

  • Thasts a really smooth toushdown; some pilots just slam the plane to the grnd........

The wingflex is so cool; 3:18

    Awesome video Hacki

  • Hacki22, YOU ROCK MY WORLD!!!!!

  • Very nice

  • Never seen such a smooth landing... How do you fix the camera?

  • you damn expensive airlines!!!!!!! >:(

  • Singapore Airlines Really Keep Their Planes Clean And Shiny ;D

  • @Mecurial95 Yeap ur are right :)

  • excellent landing !!!

  • thats nt him thats a real flight

  • did he retract the flaps rite after the reverse thrust got engaged?..nice landing!

  • no the two middle leading edge flaps go up with reverse.

  • ah..thnx

  • smooth landing!

  • Great landing =D

  • Êxellent quality ! Nice video:D smooth landing!

  • du warst aber auch schon überall auf der welt..was?

  • I thought the flaps were only retracted once the a/c taxi's off the rwy

  • Hmmm... landed at runway 32L

    Great vid mate!

  • no shit

  • no rwy 32 in syd =p 34L =D

    thanks for posting

  • dcrhis91

You don't retract the flaps during reverse thrust! When the reverse thrust is deployed, the middle and inner slats automatically retract without the pilots doing anything. Besides, if the pilot was retracting the flap (which he will never do during landing), the outer slat would be the first to retract because when on flaps 1 only the middle and inner slats are extended. When on flaps 5-30, that's when the outer slat is extended. My point: pilots never retract flaps during landing!

  • Nice video 5/5*

  • very smooth!

  • smotheest landing , ever.

  • smooth landing. not even a bump.

  • very smooth landing!go SIA

  • Wow, the ocean looks beautiful. I LOVE flying!

    :)

  • best landing!!

  • perfect landing!

  • Awesome view of the wings flexing just prior to landing .. great video.

  • Singapore Airlines truly deserves the title Best Airline for 2008

  • SIA does deserve that title because they are the best airline in the world.

  • nie video. very clear and also a very smooth landing

  • Beautiful landing! Absouletly beautiful!!

  • Indeed. I've always enjoyed flying with Singapore Airlines...well as much as is possible in economy. Once flew out of Sydney in a major thunderstorm; lightning, the works. Horrible turbulence on take-off but they got us in the air and home.

  • Let me tell you that PIA (pakistan international Airlines) pilot does the same landing almost everytime.

  • sweeeeeet

  • can someone tell me why the put the flaps to 25 when reverse thrust is on.

  • Why do you mean the flaps are at 25 ? If you mean the retraction of the slats in this video: Slats retract always because of the thrust reverser (possible damage of the wing in case of parts on the runway)

  • not a flap. its airbrake. its help airplane to slow down. but if at least 300 or 250 mph, its will use flaps down

  • it looks so mistical

  • excellent landing

  • beatiful landing here! :)

  • nice video

  • singapore airlines has the best hospitality

  • smooth landing kapten!!!

  • amazing landing!

  • I love Singapore Airlines;even though I havent been on it

  • omg that was sooo smooth!

    :D

  • hacki thats one cool landing, welcome to sydney. and you maybe helping people who are afraid to fly with these vids.how long was this flight 6 hours or about.

  • beautiful touchdown! where's the bump??

  • Indeed Lovefun2, look at all the vids on Youtube from SIA. It is just amazing, Singapore Airlines is the best. Good recording too, thanks Hacki22!

  • thisis amazing

  • The landing looked so smooth it was unbelievable. I was waiting for the big bump but it never happened. You're the best Singapore Air!!

  • yes

  • I was wondering if somebody could answer my question: when should (or at what point?) should the pilot turn on the seat belt signs when he's nearing the destination airport?

  • Yes

  • He turns on the seatbelt sign at the begining of the decent.

  • when the airplane reach at around 6000 feet

  • it's always nice to approach to sydney airport on that way - with that coastline,.....beautiful.

  • maan i love singapore airlines

by far the best airlines i ever been on.

  • great view of the 747 its cool the l.e. slats retract when T.R. is used

  • great view of the 747 its cool the l.e. slats retract when T.R. is used

  • textbook landing pilots did a nice job

  • Excellent video - really loved it. Hope to be on one of those flights one day. Thanks very much for sharing!

  • that is an A+ landing

  • wow, a great landing by singapore airlines, I don't think I've experienced a landing this soft, but of coarse, I haven't flown that much, I'm still a beginner.

  • wow! cool, question bro... waht was your seat number or row?

  • Bro! you have to be in business class on 747 to be able to see the actions.

  • okidoki!! thanx! i'll buy'em then!! greetings!!

  • Just as suchawinner said, it's to keep dirt and rocks from damaging the slats.

  • Very nice video!! It shows the spoilers deploy, the wings flex, the thrust reversers, and a lot of other stuff. Definitely one of the best 747 videos on Youtube. 5 stars!

  • It's because dirts and rocks comes out of the engine when in reverse thrust so not to damage the slats.

  • coz thats the procedure with every aircraft when they land its standard

  • Uh ? No it's not normal ...

  • It's normal.. Slats comes out when flags are used.. And wstcyd2, how do you know they didnt use until flags 25 ? Dont be a smart alec..

  • It's not a standard... Only the 747 do this.

The inner slats are retracted when the thrust reverse are actuated. You can notice that when the pilot turns off the reverse, the inner slats automatically extend. It's a 747 feature.

  • I've landed that strip many a times - great stuff for memories.

  • excelent video

  • perfect wingview !!!!! excellent

  • that was odd, flaps retracted from full to 25 degrees as soon as it touched down

  • how do u know ?

  • they didnt retract to 25!!!

  • they always do that

  • that was the softest landing i've ever seen, the camera didn't even shake a bit. The scary thing was that when it landed, it looked like the wing was dropping down and was going to fall off

  • I flew from Sin - Syd in one of these magnificent planes, had a similar view to you. Great job. Long live the 747!

  • Gotta say guys..I long for this approach...even though I wish it was on a QF Flight !

  • well i know one thing for sure, cathay pacific has terrible service! on my flight to hong kong last, last summer, i asked the flight attendent for a pack of cards. i wait for like twenty minutes and i don't get them. so i call another flight attendent and ask her for a pack of cards. again, i wait for like twenty minutes but no cards! so i call a third flight attendent!! I got 3 packs of cards that day!

  • LOLOL

  • the number one airline is japan airline coz

    its very safe!

  • i'm confused, whats the best airline, because everyone says that's it's cathay pacific or singapore airlines or lufthansa or emirates or qantas or british airways, could someone tell me the number 1

  • emirates is the best mate!!

  • If you would grade airlines by the number of awards clinched, the answer would be Singapore Airlines.

  • aweosme vid mate one of the best

  • It is quite a treat to fly on Singapore Airlines. You did a great job with that video mate. =)

  • Super video, schade nur, dass du deine flugaufnahmen immer gegen die flugrichtung aufnimmst, hat das einen grund? du willst sicher immer die triebwerke zeigen, aber effektvoller ist die aufnahme in flugrichtung. lg jowi

  • lol i like the bouncing engines on landing. It makes you realise just how strong those wings are to lift up those beasts.

  • very good video!! you can almost feel the power of the thrust of the engines!!, which were on a tight leash!!

  • excellent!! the power of the thust on a tight leash!!10/10

  • 5 star video.

  • This video is the best!! i wish sia has that video of landings and take offs lyk emirates and catay!

  • wat flight SQ 221 SQ 231 SQ 219

    Ovbiously south through Kernall

My uncle Flies 777-300 Singapore prety soon will be posting his videos at my request!! so excited

  • SINGAPORE ROCK

  • Great view, try from behind the wings next time,so u could see the flaps retracted...would be owesome!

  • From this POW you can see the flaps at the front of the wing :-)

  • I think you should make a video of it taxiing to the gate

  • hopefully i would get in SQ cabin crew selection next time
