The reason why there are less elephants is because I guarentee that more HUMANE measures have been taken to put the elephants in more habitable environments. Elephants in captivity become miserable and are plagued by health problems because of various things like standing on concrete for hours and hours which create foot infections. Over 50% of elephants in captivity die from feet infections.
this is interesting but now there down to like 3 elephants at toronto zoo.. i go there every mybe 3 years and theres always less elephants.. recently the eldest one got knocked over by a more dominant elephant and she couldnt get back up.. so she died.. all those elephants in this video are gone..it suuck seeing as there like my fav. animal
Funny? Are you nuts? This is tragic. Did you see how many elephants are confined to that small space? And to have a tire attached to a pole by a chain. Terrible. These keepers apparently know nothing about elephants. I hope someone has rescued these elephants and had them transported to the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.
I saw this on Maximum Exposure this morning on TV. Really cool animals, one of my favorites. I am glad this was here, I wanted to share it with friends.
This waiting is horrible, why employers didn't help this elephant?! It's not interesting, it's nature because animals are much helpful than humans/;

these kind creatures shouldnt be kept in that area. Im not suprised by the way that acted, elephants watch out for eachother. I love that.

Elephants are an interesting kind of creature. Unlike humans, all grown males in the group watch the kids, regardless of whether they are related.
Most important, they keep the teenage mae elephants in line. When too many grown bulls are killed off, the younger male elephants go crazy.
