  • By the way hoover4000 thanks . The more I listen too Cynthia the more I love her voice and her style. she almost 'sings' with her hands doesn't she ?

  • Love it. So touching. Reminds me of the Gaither's group. Thanks for sharing. Gwen

  • According to the introduction from Bill Gaither, when she sang My Mothers Faith, also posted here, she is introduced as a true Irish woman. She sounds much like Celtic Woman, who sing Irish Ballads and have that special mezmerizing quality. I don't care if she is from Timbuktu, She is the most amazing singer I have ever heard. Of course that is subjective, and is only my opinion. Her voice has a very special annointing!

  • yes..what a voice and what a lady!!!! woman of GOd- thanks for posting Hoover4000- LIKE ALL THE STUFF YOU POST!! =-) MY DAD LOVES LISTENING TO HER- he is 75 now... and I like to play things that help calm him and that he enjoys... "GO rest high on that mountain" is one that we all lo0ve here in cali-by the beach! GOd bless y'all! and surf's up! =-)

  • She has Irish Eyes, and a Beautiful Voice!!

  • 'Tis God who gives the gifts!

  • she may have some irish blood running thru her veins from past generations.

  • A great voice. Can yo tell me on what video this song is?

  • Best I have ever heard. That's for sure.

  • great singing from the heart! What's in the heart will show.I feel yhe Love of the Lord in her voice!

  • She is one of a kind , great voice.

  • This girl can sing! dtn

  • My favorite song Cynthia sings, is "Go Rest High" - nobody sings that as lovely as she does! I had to learn that song once I heard her sing it.

  • Thank you Jesus for holding my hand.

    I love this song.

Cynthia Clawson is such anointed performer.

    5 stars ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

  • a great song ,a great job singing and i beleive she knew what she was singing about and it makes listening worth while.

  • Love her voice - she has been around the Gaither group for a long, long time.

  • yes this music is worldly but when I first herd it it was not. the song is not worldly just the style in which it is performed. When you are in bed with 3 other cousins and there are 10 or so people huddled around a pot belly stove and only 5 pieces of coal to keep you warm till Monday the meaning of the song is very true.

  • What in the world are you talking about? Whatever could possibly be considered "worldly" about this song or the way in which it is presented? I'm sorry but this kind of thinking makes ALL Christ-followers seem totally off the wall.

  • Who is this woman. I've never heard of her.

  • Cynthia Clawson, is an Irish singer . She sings a lot with the Gaither Homecoming Group. She is a wonderful singer. I like her a lot, she has such a beautiful voice.

  • Irish? She was born & raised in Austin, Texas! Where do you get your facts?

  • the person means that she has irish roots

  • Do you know the person and what he/she thinks?

  • of course not. but it's a known fact that cynthia clawson has irish roots. because a person is not from ireland themselves does not mean this isnt true. I am irish and I was born and raised in colorado. I'm really not sure why this seems to offend you so?

  • @hoover4000 agree with you wholeheartedly. My husband was from a small island by Fiji called Rotuma. Our 2 children are 1/2 Rotuman by blood. They were both born and raised here in New Zealand. However, my daughter in particular strongly identifies with her Rotuman roots and considers herself a Rotuman. She is also a New Zealander but she is a New Zealand Rotuman. Just as you no doubt are an American Irish." No matter how little of the blood in you - Rotuman is Rotuman". Irish is Irish I guess.

  • This is a great song, I've loved it since I heard the Hag sing it. She's got a great voice, and what solid vocal backup and instrumentals. Praise God!

  • My fav version of this song! Full of love and passion for Christ!

  • Paul tells us in Romans to be transformed not conformed to this world by the renewing of your mind and i believe some of the music played is conforming to the world, which i think is disappropriate. But its just my opinion.

  • please tell me what is not conforming to the world.seriously,i'd like to know

  • You are right; there is plenty of Christian music that "conforms" to the world, but this one--if you are referring to this one???---certainly does not. I've always loved this song; the melody, the words. Words are important; whether in worldly music or whatever--what is said is potent; good or bad

  • this is my Mom's fav song!! i've been searchin so long.. very powerful

  • we sing a lot of these old songs in the church where we go.

  • What a unique voice she has. It seems so well suited for every song she sings. A bit of that lonely, appalachian mountain sound. I listen to her everyday!!

  • Oh if ever anything would lift your spirit this is it.

  • Such as a country song but I like this song. Thanks for loading!

  • one of my favourites!

  • I never can get enough of her songs !!!

This one is so beautiful too.

  • Beautiful! Which video is this from?

  • I can listen to this all day thanks.

  • I love this performance and replay it often.

  • beautiful video..

    what a wonderful voice!!

<I really like that song "jesus hold my hand"

    God bless you all

  • Beautiful!!!! How true.

  • yes, this is great. I absolutely LOVE good ol' gospel. Praise God

  • Where did this type of gospel music go? It seems that mor and more contempary gospel is in our churches everyday

  • There is room in our churches for both types of music as long as they glorify God

  • If you want to hear good Southern Gospel you can still see it if you catch up with The Singing Echoes from Cleveland Tn.

  • What happened to this type of gospel music? It is more and more contempary gospel in our churches everyday.

  • This type of music can still be found in independent fundamentalist Baptist churches throughout the southern USA.

  • Its also found in penacostal churches...theres nothing like the old gospel...thats all my church sings and it moves the spirit like no other

  • I'm with you! There is nothing wrong with ALL types of music in our praise and worship, but I sure do miss this type of singing; and it seems it is slipping farther and farther away all the time. Good comment and I could not agree more.

  • she is very good,thnx

  • If this is a taste of the music in store when we get to heaven I can't wait. What a gift!

  • She is amazing!

  • Thank you Jesus

  • What a beautiful voice and song. Make me feel so at home!!! Thanks and God Bless your life.

    Sandra

  • Nothing like the Southern gospel, Baptist style!

  • Beautiful voice, and a beautiful person.
