@slamfish2010 alsoi'd like to mention my background of saying these things: the personal friendship of Hawkins Cheung with Bruce lee, where he is talking about his way of growing as a fighter and bruces, to. very nice to read^^ hawkinscheung(dot)com check it out, youll love it to read.out
People! Why is it that people who practice kung fu act in such a childish manner?Every Wing Chun video on Youtube is filled with negative comments and insults. To practice kung fu is not about being right or wrong about a technique or stands it's about hard work, discipline and becoming a strong and confident human being. Of course it's good to discuss the practicality of techniques but do it in a positive way instead! Then you grow and help others to grow and that's what makes a martial art grow
I'm a grade 3 in a different lineage andi think these guys are alot more sloppy than sone of our beginners.... But i do think that Sifu sergio is a great wing Chun practitioner
This is obviously a compilation of all the styles of Wing Chun you've learned. If student is a black belt he shouldn't be able to be injured. He should have an understanding of Jong Sau. Sorry
@papertiger7 Bruce Lee shouldn't be considered an apostate to 'the system'. (Keep in mind that what he practised didn't even look close to the mess seen here). Bruce was to emigrate to the USA due to personal stuff and wasn't able to fully complete his training. The last months before he left, Bruce almost trained on a deadly basis with his mentor Wong Shun Leung (WSL). (in reality, Yip Man assigned WSL to teach Bruce). WSL inspired Bruce to the philosophies that led Bruce to find his own way.
@MCBosmans exactly. e.g. his footwork/lower body half was weak in comparison to his upper half. that was the result of him dealing with his personal weaknesses and the way and style of western fighting. by saying in comparison,i dont negate the fact of his overall- high level of fightng and applying martial art fighting. his upper work was almost unnatural. he found his way making benefit f his natural ressources, and developed them to the highest for him possible before he had to die.

@Oidoxie6 thats exactly what i thought, im not claiming to be some expert but surely there was no belts in the old days, i think its a western thing!!! surely in wing chun you know either the first form, second form etc etc not belts and in this video they all have there elbows out while there punching and not protecting the centre line!!!!

belts are just good for holding pants up. when we make martial arts about belts and status we lose the essence of it.

Yeah, i'm training with the IWKA, and is not wing chun (not yip man only), that's way the name is wing Tjun, by Sifu Sergio.
In my opinion, is good and i like it, but is a comercial version WT, like a leung ting kung fu...
Traditional kung fu, isn't belts, like you said ThePook21, and thanks for the song !
Sorry for my bad english.

@cwmak70
Worse, there's also a pic of Bruce Lee & Yip Man on the wall.
Yip Man would be so pissed to see that pic of himself with an apostate of the system.
Where's a pic of Randy Williams?
Or maybe Willy Cheung?
Why not?

@DizzyDerwish Why is Bruce an "apostate" to the system? Just curious...

@MCBosmans Yeah, I know that, I just wanted to know the commentator's reason for calling him an apostate.
