I have been following the minors for years, I have seen too far often people having high hopes then the pack catching up. Hopefully he continues to improve and does not hit that plateau of "I am better than everyone I face, I don't need to get any better".

ya but he's not like that....pretty tough to get that way when he gets politiced off the top team in our home assoication.

But the egg on these guys face is when spring comes he goes out and dominates his age group in the at the highest level in western canada....He is a pretty motivted kid!

It's funny you say that... He has the same goalie coach that Price had when he was with Tri Cities before he was drafted and played at the world jrs.

I played hockey when I was about that age but I didn't remember how small the players and especially the goalies look compared to the nets and everything. Great stuff.

couple thing to make him better:

1. practice gettin up faster

2. get it so his thighs are straight up when he slides because his aren't and when he slides he falls

I know how that feels. During a tournament in Whistler, BC, Canada, I had 256 shots in 5 games. And I was the only goalie!

The kid is great. If I were you I would invest in a better camcorder so that you have something special to show when the time comes.
