  • Thanks For Posting.....best song...on the best movie....ever made......takes me back.....thrusts me forward.

  • David Byrne is a dude.

  • out of all the versions of this on youtube, this one is definitely the best. The performance owns them all, and the sound quality is very good too.

  • No matter how old I get or how old they get...I completely enjoy their way of performing and their songs! AWESOME!

  • Does anybody know the exact name of guitar Byrne is playing? It's Roland, but what model?

  • best film jonathon demme ever made

  • greatness already!

  • Saw the Heads many times, including this tour. Never saw an audience respond to band like the way audiences responded to them. An amazing band.

  • This was definately their peak does'nt Tina look great! and aint it so cool to see a crowd just get up and rock out with em!! just lov em!!

  • I wish I could have gone to this, but I was sort of not alive yet.

I got see David doing his tour for Everything That Happens though, so I guess I can't complain.

  • facts are useless in emergencies

  • looks like a framus guitar but iam not shure

  • Why do I feel like half of the band members aren't having fun?

  • Hard to say. I have a feeling they've been choreographed to within an inch of their lives. ("Cut to Jerry, smiling...swish pan to Steve, making a funny face.") Still, the whole movie is awesome.

  • Are you watching the same video as the rest of us??

  • Damn, I actually think I was watching the wrong video. xD

  • Maybe becouse they all look very high...

  • i dont think any1 is high there, maybe just the keyboardist he looks like hes on coke o0.

  • really ? Or are you only beeing sarcastic?

  • talking heads sound nothing like primus

  • what kind of guitar is byrne weidling?

  • home made

  • It's a Roland synth guitar (G-303?). I think he's just playing it as regular guitar, though.

  • Sounds so much like Primus

  • hahahahah it does.

  • sounds like talking heads to me ;)

  • sounds like talking heads to me, too! its so fimiliar aint it? haha. this is good live(:

  • really? i've never heard any primus that sounded like this...what album(s)?

  • Silly you.

  • Love how funky tina is on this song, groovy bass beat.

  • Schizoid and well!

    Go on!

  • I saw David Byrne last night on his "Music of David Byrne and Brian Eno tour" and I'm thrilled to say he's still got it! I wasn't even born when Stop Making Sense was filmed so I'm thrilled to have got to see him now.

  • byrne is such a great rhythmic guitarist

  • Beautiful... glad to say, I was there... :) (Don't know where exactly this was taped, but it's the same '82 tour).

  • You lucky and old bastard lol

  • Friggin A!

  • This is friggin awesome, and I listen to it everyday....better than a cut of coffee!!

Try Shadow boxing to the whole "Stop Making Sense" album, see if you don't get in shape, or DIE!!!

    LMAO!!

  • I feel like an accident

  • I feel like an accident

  • oh...to be tinas bass would be wonderful

  • supa dope

  • Just PLAIN fuckin' AWESOME!!

  • echt gers!!!!!!!!

  • Interesting how Byrne gave the roadie his guitar earlier but then seems to have it again at 5:58.

Doesn't matter. Great concert from a great band.

  • the concerts were all recorded then put together, if you notice the backing singers change their cloths ai irregular times, but what a concert wish i couldve have been there, to young tho. Grrrr

  • Unbelievably nice

  • brilliant!!

  • i have never seen a band have so much fun

  • Awesome...

  • creative genious

  • crispy sound. thanks

  • They may actually touch heaven at 1:00

  • One of my favorites Heads

  • Best song from my favorite album of theirs

  • I wish I was David's guitar. I love the way he fondles it!

  • I know the feeling - I wouldn't mind being Tina's bass.

  • there is no adrian belew in this vid

  • ADRIAN BELEW, yer my hero

  • No matter how down I get, this concert always always always makes me feel better! Thanks so much for putting it up.

  • i orgasm from : 1:57 to 2:09

  • lucky kid around 6:40, got to see one of the best concerts ever.

  • yer i always thought that too LOL

  • shit! energy, amazing message, and great music!

  • Very speedy delivery of a great song

  • get onto Bernie Worrell's face gestures at 6:25,erm i think someones been having a sniff haha

  • Ridiculously awesome.

  • Oh, this must be the director's cut; the one with the unicorn at 6:40 ... lol

  • "Facts are simple and facts are straight

Facts are lazy and facts are late

Facts all come with points of view

Facts don't do what I want them to.."

    I always loved those lyrics.

  • The Alex Weir-to-David-Byrne handoff from 3:17 to 3:56 is freaking mint.

  • Nowadays is all about money.....

  • exactly

  • Very Few bands put this much effort/energy in live performances now. It truly is Sad

  • very few bands put any real effort into anything these days

  • That is just one of the most hyper-kinetic songs of all times. The lady at 6:27 makes the whole video glorious!

  • The back up ladies are tight.

  • This band puts out so much energy. I am exhausted jjust watching them. Loved SMS when it first came out and have been a huge fan ever since. I just wished my stereo went higher than 10. :(

  • yeah, i would have givin ANYTHING to have been there for the nights they recorded this film.

for those of you who dont have STOP MAKING SENSE, get it.

  • Sorry you weren't there. I saw them in Saratoga from the 15th row center in July 1983. Best concert I ever saw, hands down, nothing else even close.

  • Saw them at the greek in L.A. seat 12 row L looking straight down to mike. Film is exactly from my vantage point. Front row center seats in Vegas, canceled the day of the show, made me mad as hell, but...at least I was at the Greek. Never ever been to another live show that could even begin to compare.

  • Would have liked to have been there... of course I was one at the time... so that put a bit of a snag in the works...

  • YOU ARE SO LUCKY!!!

  • Tune

  • Facts just twist the truth around..

  • Oh damn, what a great song!

  • around 3:55 is that flanger hes messing with?

  • It's a Boss analogue delay pedal. He's changing the delay time.

  • 2:00 dave looks like a dipping bird :)

  • I would have given my left tit to have seen this concert in person.

  • sucks for you...rides in my time machine cost a right tit

  • Modern day "jam" bands owe a great deal to this song in particular. The build in sound and change of tempo are extremely effective

  • I agree.. dude.. lets jam..

  • yeah 3rd that. yeah i say the three of us jam.

  • yep, you guys know whats up

  • tools

  • I love the talking heads more than I love to scream ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh love has come to town. I love the byrnes-esk rap at the end

  • I lost my shape too :(

  • so great! there was a formula!

  • BE=Brian Eno (and the Talking Heads too)!

  • Too bad the frame is cut on all the 4 sides... bad conversion.

  • still the best concert movie ever

  • When was this recorded?? why was i born??? or was i born??

  • It was recorded in the Summer 1983 and released in 1984.

kkkkkklf, I want to thank you so very much for this awesome movie concert. Today, I have spent 90 truly fantastic and wonderful minutes of great music. I can only think how much I'am (we are) obliged to you. Thank you again and again!
