  • but ...do you think the acrylic colors will resist over time?

  • Anybody do you know the spring WELL MB-04? and how good is it on long distance? Is it reliable?

  • Wut? O.O the channel isn't available? :O

  • pressed wrong button lol.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • Do you get very good accuracy out of that Laylax Prometheus Barrel on the VSR-10? I'm stuck on PDI's reputation right now. $100 less just sounds too good to be true.

  • Yes, I can hit a 100 yard target with the 6.03mm Laylax 430mm VSR TB, using 0.40g around 33-50% of the time... on a calmish day. NB this is on a laser ranged practice. the target is A1 paper. To me that is as good as I can expect. For an extra $100 you won't find it really improves on those numbers. My VSR is only 483fps (with 0.20g)

I know people who had tried PDI 6.01 and PDI 6.05 in the same rifle and found the 6.05mm to be more accurate.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA Phantom. I'm gonna enjoy my UTG for right now, I can probably hit out to 200ft pretty well with my current upgrades. My Final sniper rifle with be a VSR-10 with ALL Laylax. Is the Laylax Hop-up required with that too?

  • Your UTG sounds good enough to use. Just don't waste your time over 200ft.... simply get closer or wait. No, don't buy the Laylax hop unit, as it is for fitting AEG barrels into a VSR. It has a unique hop rubber and others do not fit. It is no better than the original VSR hop chamber. Look into getting a custom hop arm ..... like the ones coming soon from DANGERWERX. It will give you more hop adjustment and therefore better flat range. Also, get the zero trigger/piston.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA yeah the UTG is a good starter rifle cause it's affordable. You said earlier you like the Prometheus 6.03, but the 6.03 is an EG Prometheus barrel and only accepts the Laylax hop. They make a 6.05 that is for the VSR. Do you have maybe an older model or were you mistaken?

  • My barrel is an old Laylax 6.03mm 430mm VSR10 barrel. It fits VSR10 hop rubbers and hop units. Not EG units. Hope that helps.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • Does the paint come off?

  • No, because it is soaked into the fabric tape that you put on first.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA After the paint dries will it smear off onto your hands?

  • not on mine it hasn't and I've played in the rain. I use gloves btw.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • For one paint job how meny tubes (of one color) do you go through?

  • One paint job uses a fraction of a tube.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • where do you get a zipped pocket for the m40?

  • I got mine off ebay. Type in "rifle pouch".

    Good Hunting ;)

  • shud i go for the utg shadow ops l96? or a vsr or a bar 10

  • Get a BAR10 if you can.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA

where did you buy the bar10 from im still thinking about the l96 but if i buy that i order from usa did you buy yours for a good price in europe with all the necessary stuff?

  • I got my BAR10 second hand, with a scope, for £60 including postage and paypal fees!!!!! :)

    Good Hunting ;)

  • In Hawaii there is one season... WOOT! I ONLY NEED ONE RIFLE! xD

  • Is there a place to download the Full version 6mm Lone hunters? Here in the states we can'y view it. (which is pointless since its your video) Always wanted to see it.

  • Is a higher velocity or lower velocity rifle better/ more accurate than the other? i was thinking about getting an echo 1 m28 with around 500 fps but im not sure and i thought you could answer my question. thanks

  • Higher powered rifles are more accurate at longer ranges. Lower powered rifles are still just as accurate but due to firing lighter pellets at lower velocities, the pellets are soon affected by wind and gravity. The longer range you shot the high and low power setup, the more you would see the difference in accuracy. Power doesn't automaticaly get you accuracy though and having a good hop system is more important than raw power itself. I hope that explains. 500fps is ample.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • smallest scope on the riffel with the most power.. Hmmmm ???

  • Scopes are personal choice. Your maximum range you can shoot to depends on the field of view of the scope. The low mag scope has a wider field of view, allowing you to see way below the axis of the muzzle, therefore you can see shots lobbing out to maximum range that other high power scopes have lost sight of. I guess I am trying to say that you can have someone in the scope despite the fact you are aiming yards above their heads.

    Hopefully you might understand me.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA I think i get you :D but can you help me with a little problem d: ?? My VSR-10 Gspec with full 150ms upgrade it's really hard to pull back the bolt on it? I borrowed my friends mauser SR and it was super easy to load /: `?

My english is not that good (:

  • So do you put the tape on first then apply acrylics on the tape or on the actual gun? help im confused

  • Yes, apply the tape. Then paint onto the paint.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA ok thanks :) and would you recommend the web tex concealment vest, bcos i have a synthetic ghillie but cant add vegetation due to the net being wayyyy to small and tight....also have you upgraded your weapons?

    Good Hunting :)

  • Yes the webtex is good. I have several rifles, some are upgraded for long range some are standard for dense summer months.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • You know, if you put the mute on the video doesnt seem that gay...

  • i never would have thought of using acrylics

  • Haha... i was just watching an episode of robin of sherwood, netflix doesn't have enough of the series.

  • Is there a particular reason why We are unable to watch this on the iPod touch/iPhone?

  • @phantomTMA i want to let you know you have inspired me to get a VSR-10 so in the next week i will be placing the order for one

  • um well i tried to send this as a message but i couldnt get throw blah blah so ill ask it on here. please tell me the story in depth behind the name 6mm hunters. because i think i know, but do would you said you play airsoft or really somehting else that uses airsoft guns. just wondering thx

  • I came up with the name to try and show that we are NOT Airsoft snipers. Airsoft snipers play against teams of AEG's in skirmish or mil-sim events. Our Sport is based purely on the hunting of an equal opponent over an extended period. Lets face it; no one else, really, does that.

So yes, we use Airsoft guns for something different than regular "Airsoft". In some events, we don't even use guns and replace them with cameras. Check out the website linked from our channel.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA thanks

  • @phantomTMA thank you your answer was helpful you see as you try to show that you were not airsoft snipers i am trying to separate what i play from what most people think of as airsoft, because honeslty how i play is not the same as other airsoft players and theres honeslt nothing soft about it. funny as it is as i laid awake i tried to find something to call it and so your clever name of 6mm hunters came up so with class i still search and btw you play the best game in all the world again thx

  • oh my god, i just found out that my hop-up chamber is cracked, anyone know where cna i buy new one? in europe

  • look at fire-support in the uk. I am unsure what rifle you have. They have spare hop units for tanaka rifles. Also look for the Marui barrel and hop unit. Avoid the PSS10 hop unit as it is for AEG barrels and only takes a specific hop rubber.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA w w w.fire-support.co.uk/product/gg-tanaka-m700-hop-up-set

    is this it?

  • If you search for "m700" on that website, you will see that they also stock the original tanaka hop unit (part 91). The G&G version doesn't have the thread at the front that some models use.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA i have TW m24 sws, so will this unit fit my weapon?

  • I have not worked on the M24 so am unsure if the unthreaded version is going to allow too much slop on the inner barrel. I suggest you look at your original part 91 or the exploded diagram in the back of the manual. Either that or contact firesupport for advice. If in doubt get the original tanaka part (although it is very expensive for a piece of plastic.)

    Good Hunting ;)

  • thanks phantom ill try the .29s, one more question, are you gunna do videos more often because i love them and cant get enough! thank you!

  • Cheers. I bang them out as quick as I can, but, it still takes time. I manage about 1 a month on average. Don't worry we have some great stuff already filmed in HD that will blow your mind (stay tuned).

    Good Hunting ;)

  • PHAMTOM!! I HAVE MISSED UR VIDEOS!!!!!

  • hey phantom im glad you added another video and i hope you keep doing so. I just wanted to know what gram BB i should use with a upgraded 550fps with .2s, 6.01mm barrel and full upgraded internals? thx

  • Either o.29g SuperGrandMaster, if you want mid range accuracy; or 0.40g Blaster/Madbull/Guarder if you are looking for maximum range.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • Hey, thanks for sharing! ^^

I've utilised your teachings in airsoft games with my buddies and have had great results (even with a non-upgraded vsr-10 rifle).

  • about around 500fps with a .20

but i need to stick with it besides all the problems i already put 200 dollars into it

  • i am very tempted to switch back to bolt action rifles, i fixed my m14, 2 days ago then the wires melted

  • Sorry to hear about the M14. The beauty of bolt action is the simplicity and reliability.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA very much but i get 300 feet out of my m14 with .30s weird, its just those bolt action cost some money and not to mention im left handed

  • What velocity is your M14 (with 0.20g)?

Bolt actions do cost a fair bit once you upgrade, as you replace most of the internal parts.

Many players cope with being left handed. I have even seen players mod their bolt and furniture to make it left handed.

Only thing with a bolt action is that you must go unseen.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • Hey could you do a vid on urban sniper hides because where i play has 3 buildings.

  • Sorry, I do not play around buildings and have only limited experience around barns. My advice is to stay well back from windows and look for "murder holes."

    Good Hunting ;)

  • You are very artistic in your work.

  • what weight bbs were these rifles chrono'ed with?

  • Chronograph results are with 0.20g

    Good Hunting ;)

  • Are you plating with other airsoft teams?

  • Not these days. Instead, I play HUNTEERING events against other 6mm Hunters.

It is a game of stalking and cunning rather than firefighting.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • Another great video, at what fps would you suggest using a firefly soft hop rubber?

  • I have only used the hard rubber myself, but I suggest the soft rubber would be best for sub 350fps setups. I presume that is what you you are limited to.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA yeah thats what I have heard...running somewhere in the region of 340-360fps...slightly above what it should be, to be totally honest. Many thanks and hope the dvd is going well.

  • thanks to these videos i bought a Tanaka M40A1 and love it, fully upgraded and i'm working intensely on ghillie myself :)

    thanks!

  • Nice one, the m40a1 is a great rifle. Try to keep your ghillie minimal.

If you need any advice, join our forum (link on our website).

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA

i'll be sure to check that out!

yeah i love the rifle, i'm so happy with all the upgrades, and the consistancy is actually pretty good really, for gas, i mean it's not very noticable

  • I agree, it is great rifle. The slightly varying velocity is more noticable when you are shooting out to the very limits of Airsoft ranges, where pellets are dropping rapidly.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • @phantomTMA

yes of course, i may eventually use an HPA or CO2 rig

which rifle is your favorite and why? if you HAD to choose one?

  • My advice is to either go green gas or HPA. Co2 isn't stable enough to warrant having an external rig imo. I just use my co2 rig for target shooting.

    Good Hunting ;)

  • woah nice

  • Great as usual Phantom!

    Scar

  • :D! nice
