I was graced by a friend in 98 to hear this album. And until that time i did not know nothing about the existence of MA. I heard formulas from the 1st till the last and got stuck on the band since than. So, i went trough in the band and dicovered prevoius very good songs differents of the other bands. With Steve Tucker in the band at the time! Fuck, MA was ruling. But now, David Vincent brought some bad influences in MA and the result is this last sad album....

People can hate on the Tucker era all they want, but I personally think they progressed and got heavier with him in the band, especially with the addition of Trey's vocals (which I don't think we'll get to hear anymore with Vincent back in the band).

I was immeadiately going to comment I David was way better after hearing the first verses.

I think David' s vocals were impressively powerful and rageful, and went natural from Altars to Domination.

I feel no power in Steve' s vocals, sounds like a lament, and feel that he's suffering when reaching that voice.

May sound great with the music, but don't feel like its Morbid Angel, it has suffering and pain not sraight foward aggresion and superiority

@MegaMetalDemon Tucker actually left the band twice. Once in 2001, Jared Anderson from Hate Eternal briefly took over his spot. Then Tucker came back in 2003, recorded and toured for Heretic, then left again in 2004. Both times Tucker made statements saying he left for personal reasons but wouldnt specify what they were. I think it had something to do with him spending too much time with the band and away from his family or something. He couldnt handle the touring schedules at the time

This is the best Morbid Angel album, and that's saying a LOT. It doesn't have the occult atmosphere of Altars or Blessed, but it's fresh, abstract, diverse, and VERY fierce.

Agreed, and no offense to Vincent, but I think Vincent's guttural vocals sound forced compared to Tucker's, but I loved his raspy vocal style on Altars and Blessed. I also like how Tucker let Trey join him for lead dual vocals, but now that Vincent's back my guess is they'll pick up where Domination left off, with Vincent doing all the lead vocals. It also sucks because the Tucker era had some great songs, which we'll never get to hear live again, except for Bil Ur Sag.

I personally found FFTTF album, the best Trey ever recorded.

Beautiful solos, great and inspiring concept-work.

And those haunting-quality riffs, listeninig to that album is like staring into the void... once you stop, you'll never feel such a perfection again...
