  • Why didn't they model the Assassin's Creed fighting technique off of Roy?

  • really great job but it is really stupid that after Roy knocked out few people the third tries to bust him, not to shot.

  • this video has really opened up an enspired state within me to train.......

  • I notice that the Israeli's designed this combative arts to use more reliable means of taking the enemy down quickly. Instead of relying on wrist locks and elbow twists, they focus more on controlling the entire enemies arm and using more throws. It makes more sense because wrist locks and elbow twists require precision and when engaged in battle, it's not always easy to do. I wonder how this would measure against the US's SOCP?

  • Please, answer : what are the real roots of Krav Maga? I sense a lot of hype in this "new" art designed to "kill"

  • @Volgeblanc In original its a close-combat art, which has it Roots in Israel. It was modified to fight against the Nazis.

Today its also used by the FBI and alot others.

The aim is to hit the points which will hurt you, like your balls for example :D You should end a fight as fast as possible, its not about being far.

Out there you cant be fair, a knifeuser wouldnt be either.

I am learning this too, not in the armee for my self-defence. I can recommend it to you ;)

  • @TheMisterXXL Thanks, I appreciate it!! :)

  • that man would rule any prison!! xD

  • you realize that this guy is the top instructor for Israeli Special Forces so with that in mind Im pretty sure all the "that wouldent work in real life" and "I would kick his ass" type comments can stop considering that Israel is totally surrounded by hostile nations and has yet to be beat just going to show that this does indeed work.

  • Yeah, because when you get attacked by a group of guys they go one by one! This is not showing me nothing

  • MOMENTUM

  • fucking hell, this is all hapkido technique...

  • @Shengda86 I doubt that, but it's possible that Ju-Jutsu has some techniques the same as hapkido and modern Ju-Jutsu has become a mix of traditional Ju-jutsu and what they came across and included in their Ju-jutsu mix.

  • fuck this jewish asshole. Let me show you real martial arts, this is all choreographed shit.

  • @asdnub so come to fucking Israel and try to fucking fight me you asshole!

  • @asdnub what martial arts are you going to show? guess there will be some choreograph in it but everything

  • This Guy is Good no matter what you call the art he's practicing

  • Thumbs up if ur gonna learn this awesome art just so you can kick Illuminati ass next year! :P

  • Does anyone know what dan Roy Elghanayan is?

  • Wow, i´m impressed with this great performance of martial art.

I´m mexican, i guess if there´s a place here i can learn Krav Magá without having to go to israel..xd..

Seriously, you know Mexico is a dangerous place, you´re always exposed to people with knives, or even guns trying to take your money, with this style i would their ass easily..

    Shalom from Tijuana, Mexico...

  • Snaaaaake!!!!

  • Funny on every site that shows fight techniques EVERYONE on the discussion boards claims to know more or the ULTIMATE style of fighting.Like Bruce Lee said, " Every style has something to bring and none is better than an other" that's why he Invented JEET KUN DO. An NO Style STYLE. Always evolving an encompassing all techniques. No unnecessary movements and sparring Just fast and effective attacks and counters. Sounds alot like the KM philosophy. BJJ is also Excellent as are other styles of SD.

  • lmfao .. this is good for a movie maybe... NOT REAL LIFE try this on somebody who is resisting and its not going to work. If this was the case than every MMA fight would end in first round 10 secs

  • @20secondsOFame Some do, Why not all, because They are ALL trained fighters...SELF EVIDENT!

  • @shtfprepared No listen.. I promise you! This will never happen in reality...Even if the person is not trained. This fighting style is not effective

  • @20secondsOFame Some do, Why not all, because They are ALL trained fighters...SELF EVIDENT! Also because there are rules and limitations. NO groin, eyes, throat attacks...Mostly what KM IS!

  • @shtfprepared Dude I train and trust me this is not effective.

  • @20secondsOFame Im pretty sure a kick to the head is going to be effective no matter what style you have trained in.

  • @XTuckmanX uh that is so out of context.

  • @20secondsOFame Think about it, MMA and competition fighters train on KO or submissions with unarmed opponents. Krav Maga and other military martial arts train to quickly kill heavily armed and well trained opponents.

  • @Inklebonker1 I understand what you mean but this stuff is set up and acted out. It does not work this way in any type of fight. I promise you! Some techniques may be helpful but they will not be as effective as you see here.

  • @20secondsOFame Yes, this is only Roy doing an expo to show others Krav Maga. Thats why there are people around him.No one can say how any street fight will go, but KM is designed for self defense. That is how it was developed. Things like karate or TKD are completely useless in street fights.

  • @jbiles87 I disagree about karate and tkd. Any good instructor is going to teach how to adapt to your surroundings and defend yourself in a RL situation. Regardless of the style, a knee is a knee and a punch is a punch. There may be minor differences, but they are all basically the same. If you practise long and hard enough, then you should be able to defend yourself no matter what style you have trained in. The man makes the style, the style does not make the man.

  • @jbiles87 karate and TKD are only useless if you are noob...any good karate or TKD practioner will put any crooks" ass to sleep anyday

  • @20secondsOFame because krav maga is used by israeli special forces and works for them i completely disagree.

  • this is all fake a set up bullshit, try bjj or gjj no gi jj

jiu jitsu is the most lethal martial art in the world :P

  • @dillonwadhams HA, no.

  • @dillonwadhams BJJ is meant to make your opponent tap-out,Krav-Maga is meant to kill your opponent. Go fight a Krav Maga instructor, and tell me how it works out for you.

  • so...jew-jitsu?

  • not a case of this is better, bjj is better or whatever art, just train hard and keep an open mind. Biggest problem with grappling in reality is getting tied up with one guy then his mate starts to stamp on your head, it happens. KM is so hard you be looking at a stretch for defending yourself

  • The only bad things that if a brasilian jiu jitsu traps this guy on the gorund hes done. krav maga is only for stand up fighting for street use. but why not 1 on 1? this guys toast when with a bjj

  • @MrGiantHippo Accuatly, Krav Maga, continues to learn and evolves as other martial arts are developed, etc... When BJJ, came out, KM instructors learnd this, and Masters in KM learned how to avoid the grappler, and fight aginst him. KM now teaches how to fight at there level, and defend aginst there attacks. Your best bet is to learn both... Knowing both arts, you would be unstoppable on the street's...

  • @InnocentyInsane Your right about KM but as for been unstoppable maybe against non real criminals, I studies and used KM and I trust it to save me but I don't stick around to see how much of a superman I am I run right after the perp went down, to many guns in criminals hands to play around.

  • @Kiljoy616 Idk about unstoppable. I have yet to see someone who knows KM go aginst someone who knows BJJ. On the streets or in a cage... Im sure in a war zone KM would prevail. But one on one. IDK, it would be tough, concidering, both claim to be the best. And your right. No sence in being superman and trying to take out everyone you come across. Sure KM can teach you to take away a gun, but what if you cant close the distance to get to that gun and wind up dead. What good is KM or BJJ then?

  • @InnocentyInsane On the street KM,BJJ, or any style will depend on the person not the style; anyone who has fought in the street with concrete around dose not want to go to the floor if they can help it, its not a mat, that not to say it does not happen but if your talking about a fight in a ring then sure BJJ does have an advantage but life is not a limited areas with no weapons or even a crowd. I stick with something that works even with a crowned.

None is unstoppable not even superman.

  • @MrGiantHippo Wrong KM has also floor technics its just that its not a major part of the self defense. BJJ as I understand it was from the beginning a one on one fighting style and to me there is nothing wrong with that.

Any fighting style even boxing is better than nothing at all but if you think BJJ or even KM is the perfect style then you are in a very safe environment. I knew a Ranger that was trained in BJJ and he had great moves but his need to try to take me down always seem limited.

  • @MrGiantHippo Your fantasying sound more like a fanboy and not a real trained individual. KM is about survival, most of what I hear is if your to far away if your this or that, then your dead and so is BJJ, Karate, Kung Fu... the list goes on and one. KM was developed for survival and military usage, it is not the first thing you use its the last thing you use when your out of options. Oh and a pen is one hell of a weapon if you know how to use it. KM has plenty of ground work but not like BJJ.

  • @Kiljoy616 I'm not being a fanboy nor am i mentioning karate and kung fu crap. its my point of view and opinion i dont need to be right but just as well you dont need to call em a fanboy

  • Roy, ari Sydney please!

  • @AK410 Mate he won't be able to get into Australia cause our government has made up some shit rule that if you have been involved in any isreali defence force or are an isreali citizen you cant come in

  • @GR0HL95 Australia is really getting crazy, sound more and more like a nanny state government.

  • Just don't use this unless you REALLY have to, you might end up killing someone. A little something to think about if you know this fighting system hehe

  • Is israeli Jiu jitsu different from Krav Maga?

  • name of song please

  • damnnnnnn i want to learn krav maga but shit no schools around my area that teach this fighting art damn....

I'll choose krav maga over muay thai and brazilian jujitsu anyday..

  • @BrolicTank No need they are all good, it is way better to have something than nothing and a good martial artist will learn more than one if they can. If you look at BJJ it comes not directly form Jiu Jitsu but more from Judo but it has been refined to use leverage versus brute force, very similar to KM. Take BJJ and learn the ground work later if you live where KM is you can take that, better to know something than nothing at all.

  • sweet lol

  • all those little kids watching the demo are gonna be little krav maga monsters.

  • i wish i was this guy.. haha

  • IM GOING TO TEACH THAT :D

  • Quelle Classe !

  • what's this song?

  • @pablar93 all i know is that it is from the last samurai soundtrack

  • ez tök látványos :O

  • man chekout the young kids thats just watching ... imagine wen they grow up ..

  • what is that -caw maga -look like stolen from russian sambo. When you defeteeng

country of Evol -remember nothing gonna help.Arabs one day win the war against juish evol.

  • 2:15 the guy that was holding the pad didnt turn his hand lol

  • @superwabble He did

  • 2:30 Daaaaaaaamn!

  • The main point in any combat fighting style, is to stay off the ground. It is nothing like MMA

  • 2 things i know for sure:

    1) krav maga is disigned to kill and defend yourself only

    2) the best way to defend yourself is to not start a fight, thats what every good martial arts teacher should teach u first.

    period

  • @xlaym ad 2. it is nonsense since you your start the fight you are attacking - not defending your self so not starting the fight might be good concept of avoiding the fight but not the best defense.

On the other hand you don't need martial arts guru to tell you to avoid the confrontation, your mom will tell you that free of charge. Take your claim to the extreme and you end up not leaving your bed at all since it's best way to avoid knee injury.

  • @xlaym

You are correct! But what I've found is that if one develops good upper body strength, then it helps too! I used to be way stronger with my feet. But now have a great deal of upper body power. That's no easy task though. It took me years to rebuild my body! And you're right, don't start fights. And even if you're dealing with a bully. If you can bluff him off, then, good, you didn't have to fight. He'll mess with the wrong one soon enough!

  • @xlaym true but when some one els starts the fight the best defense is offensive ;)

  • @xlaym Wrong

Krav maga is not really a martial art in the traditional way. Its more of a last resort defense. It can be violent because it a last resort and your not going to have anything like you see in sport based marital art.

The best way to defend your self is not to be born at all. If your born then sooner or later you will, come into contact with violence. Sure maybe if your super wealthy or hide in the closet you can keep conflict at bay but its always there.

  • @xlaym

uhmm you just said: to kill and defend yourself... so that means you kill urself with it:P haha but i get the message;)

  • @xlaym "krav manga is designed to kill and defend yourself only."

well i'm not sure i want to learn anything designed to assist in suicide... (LOL might want to rephrase that)

  • good demo

  • ok in my opinion the jiu jutsu and krav maga are good, except for the weapons. guys dont just pull out guns and hold them there. they shoot, especially if you just beat half there men up.

  • @bleedfingers its showing techniques taught and practiced not how hard one can hit cuz when it comes down to strength wits and speed will always overcome

  • motherf''' palestines watch out for jews.

they are gonna kick ur asses.

  • MMA guys say the dumbest things some guy told me MMA IS THE CLOEST THING TO REA LIFE. im like yeah thats why there are multiple guys in real life sure there is no art that teaches you how to beat up 3 guys, but they can still teach you how to stay alive and run the hell away, some people probably can beat 3 guys if there skilled and fast enough which is RARE. in the UFC they dont have broken glass or guns so how is it most realistic?

  • @Mider999 until there are fighting championships involving broken glass or 3 on 1 fights, MMA STILL is the closest thing to real life. Much closer than this rehearsed demonstration we just watched

  • @bleedinfingers BULLSHIT you want as real as it gets? Go to the dog brothers gatherings.

  • @bleedinfingers Thats bull. You want as real as it gets? go to the Dog Brothers gatherings, they allow sticks, staffs, knife fighting the knifes are fake but still. Then they also allow very vicious fighting, shots to the head to the balls i think anywere you can get hit gets hit in some of these rounds. You dont know nothing man even the MMA masters like the Gracies and Machadoes admit that the ground fighting method isnt practical all the time and they say they rather fight standing up

  • @Mider999 well you live in a rich area native will stomp u like the powow

  • @BDubz17 What the hell are you talking about i live in Texas this is a hot as hell state and in my city we have the worst gang in the world Los Zetas look em up they make the mexican mafia and aryan brotherhood and even in my view the mafia they make all those guys look like NOBODY. I grew up around gangsters and thugs. I didnt get my ass kicked because i didnt run around starting crap with people

  • @Mider999 completetly agreed. ive heard about the zetas, not the people you want to fuck with in the least.

  • @bleedinfingers Why dont you all just go do that int he streets since you think your so tough. why do you need it aired on TV? sounds like your just a buncha greedy fuckers

  • @bleedinfingers Yeah it would make sense to actually use broken bottles and break bones in a demo which is being watched by kids.

This is a military martial art, I'm pretty this shit works otherwise it wouldn't be used.

  • @bleedinfingers Yes it is, but i've yet to see a "MMA martial artist" be able to fight on the streets, of course, karate, taekwondo, and all the other martial arts don't work either, but, the entire reason behind "self defense" not working anymore is because everything has been turned into a sport. Certain schools of Krav Maga are pure and focus on real world effectiveness.

  • @bleedinfingers wake up mate mma is a sport not real life street game last place you want to be is on the floor on the street someone will pull your eyes out or first of all one good slap in the throat should see most mma fighters off

  • this is not jj in any form. its a hybrid of many different things including Kali hapkido and several other martial arts. Unfortunately noone in the world is actually that good. These are demos. Keep that in mind. This guy would be a billionaire and in the ufc if he could take people out that efficiently. Look up bjj vs. Its all there. Knocking someone down is difficult.

  • @getsome1516 Dude what is it with you guys and the UFC. Not everyone is greedy and wants to be in the damn UFC. Not everyone cares about that crap. And guess what BJJ is not the best art there is. Why? because even the masters of BJJ say that you should cross train, Some MMA guys said oh yeah wing chun is a joke, yet Samual Kwok a wing chun master was friends with Carlson Gracie.

  • @getsome1516 And its Isreali Jiu Jittsu how would you know what it is or isnt, there are so many techniques and arts in chinese and japanese martial arts that you could mistake it for kali and other stuff. I saw a Chinese Kenpo guy doing an arm wrench i thought only Kali guys did that i was wrong,

  • @getsome1516 Oh by the way just cause you can kick someones butt doesnt mean they will let you in the UFC. in the old days they would let almost anything go yet they didnt let the Dog Brothers in and the Dog Brothers are still looked upon respectfully by MMA. You think the UFC is gonna let its guys fight against Kali men who can arm wrench you and break your arm or eye gouge them and then elbow them? Or headbut them?

  • @Mider999 MMA is set up

  • whats the difference between Israeli ju jitsu and Japanese ju jitsu?

  • Dang!!!!

  • @MRnakedSURFmonkey ,,IF u resist in this kinda demo, YOU'LL DEFINITELY GET YR BONES BROKEN...thats why its so effective to stop yr attacker in REAL LIFE...besides it takes alot of skill to learn to fall like that, thats an art in itself,

  • sam fisher style :P

  • that is freakin awsome!!! no i get how those small frame israeli guys still defend themselves from allot of bigger opponents......just goes to show you - u never know who u might be pissing off

  • What is actually Mr Elghanayan nationality?

  • @21soldat Israeli.

  • little white boy at :56 lol

  • Roy is the best!

  • song please, thanx

  • "The Last Samurai" theme.

  • 1. It's a demonstration

    2. You try and resist

  • a dance show?

do your resaeach r-tard. krav maga is a tried and true combat training system.

you cant 'resist' when your body parts are being bent a way they aren't supposed to be. which just so happens to be 90% OF KRAV MAGA

  • stimulation means : encourage development of or increased activity. so your the dumbass. Of course they are doing what he wants no one is going to volunteer to be kicked in the groin or hammer punched repeatedly. Krav is alot more effective in street fighting terms where the point is to get yourself out of danger. Someone in karate or jui jitsu isnt trained to disarm a person holding a gun to there head. There will be a bullet in your head the second you even try a throw or roundhouse kick

  • LOL

Thank you, no one seems to get that.

  • @MRnakedSURFmonkey This could also be 'stimulating'? wtf i think you mean simulating a mugging, telling someone to get the the ground, move to a car etc etc.

  • It's true.... but EVERY style is lacking something. It really comes down to reactions in a fight. You're prior comment "no ones going too walk up and put a gun too your head and give you the option of disarming them...you would be already dead" is a load of shit. Most cocksuckers who are carrying guns are too scared to use it.... just gotta hope you got one of the weak ones. hahaha. IMO

  • jewjitsu

  • roko gym, portsmouth, 3rd of feb, 1 till 3pm .

  • Wow. Really nice man.

  • i think ground fight is very importend on the street. what will you do if the atacker hit you on the ground and you just learnd stand up fight? ok hit him in the balls:D mma is great for the street and alsow good for defend more them one atacker. you trainend the speed the power and good kicks and punches, takedowns and infight. nobody says use rules on street if u usw mma in combination with krav you are sucesfull

  • i have been training KV for many years now. the mix JJ with KM is ok but on the street you never go down. this is why the JJ takedowns are not useful on the street. you either go in for damage or you make distance and go away. nothing in between but above all never go down as your oponent might have some friends around.

  • Can I please have the song name please :)

  • Comment removed

  • kick at 2:19!!! awesome!!!

  • WHERES THE MUSIC FROM???

  • 1:54

    LOOOL yeah right...

  • it is possible....but your opponents would be veeery stupid haha!

  • i think mr.diseased512 has a good opinion. MMA is good, Krav is good too. But i think what makes some martial arts usefull, is YOURSELF. The streets is full of opportunity for u to use your martial arts skill, i think we have no rights to compare both MMA and Krav,( I practiced MMA too, and you know when you have to againts people with the knife in the hand MMA is not very usefull, i did before). Sorry for bad english, i'm not american ^^

  • I guess the three of us aren't Americans. I have also trained Judo, Taekwondo ITF, Karate and BJJ and except for TKD [my sabom have decided to combine self defense against chokes, knives etc'] none are effective when a weapon is combined. But all are very effective when no weapon is combined. Soon I'll start practicing Muay Thai and Krav Maga. :)

  • MMA :DDD<3

  • ooohh yeeeee :D:D:D:D:D:D

  • Its not encouraging kids to violence my trainer told me only use it when you really needs it. For example if someone wants your money give it to him no need to resolve to fighting. If that person that robs you wants to kill you its time to fight back.

  • Agreed; though most of the times...you can't be too sure if it's just money they're after...xP

  • exact same rules i learn in kenpo, where going to start incorporating krav into it aswell, looks so good

  • ridiculous? no. on of the best ways to protect yourself, if not the best.

  • Well.. then ur commenting on wrong movie ^^

MMA Beats Krav Maga EVRY TIME =)<3

  • Wrong.

MMA and Krav are based on the same striking martial arts [boxing. muay thai etc], but Krav has no grappling in it because it is a self defense system for the battlefields or on the streets - where there are no rules, and you can fight 1vs3, and if you'll get to the ground, you'll die - not like in MMA, a sport with rules and only 1on1 fighting.

MMA ~MIGHT~ be more effective on tournaments and on the rings - but for the street, Krav is the ultimate way to protect yourself.

  • yes only the dead go down i would do all the possible to stay up as a danzanruy fighter. Then run like a liberal....Karv seems so efective plan on studing soon...

  • hehe... Krav maga is a israel military fighting style. MMA is a ''sport''/self defence option if u will call it that. and MMA is REALY good in street fighting to.. krav maga is more like u go 4 a kill on ppl. (like i see it) and if i dont got it righte u dont wanna go kill every body? Aight? mma u just kick his ass then u leave ^^

  • (ofc u can kill som one.. but its not the point of it..) mma is just 4 self defence and turnaments ^^ and MMA beats the shit out of krav maga... it says it in it self Mix Martshall Arts= MMA (wrong speld? XD) u dont just use one fighting sport u use em ALL =) dont know if that maid alot off sense to u but it did to me =) (in my head at list XDDD)

  • MMA and Krav, as a I said, has the same striking techniques [from arts like Muay Thai, Karate, Boxing etc.] but Krav has no grappling, because in the streets you can't get to the floor because it's dangerous.

When someone in the street will attack you seriously with weapons, and won't have a problem to kill you, MMA will not help you. Krav will.

Krav is not fighting for a sport, it's fighting to protect yourself. If someone in the street will attack you without a risk to yourlife, krav will

  • help you neutralize him without a serious damage, also. But if he will threat your life or your family's or your client [Krav is VERY popular in bodygaurding], you will not have a problem to kill him in one second. Even less.

  • u know MMA will help ALOT... the diffrence is Krav maga u train to kill with weapons and protect u from weapons. MMA u train self defence, u train to protect from weapons to there but not as much as in krav maga.. but still if u go to ground mma will help u.. u train to defence at any point of a way u can fight.. and as i said earlyer Krav is an isreali millitary defence training.. the u train to fight with guns, knifes and other things u can use as weapons.

  • BUT u train to use em in Battle! and there is a HUGE diffrence from battle fighting and street fighting.. and mma u train to defence from weapons to etc...

  • If you'll walk on the streets, and you'll be attacked by three drunken men, who won't have a problem [mentally, if you'll learn KRAV(;] to kill you - you'll use Krav to neutralise them, mma won't help you alot.

If a single man\single teenager would attack you, MMA will help as same as Krav [because Krav will teach you fast ways to neutralise without doing a serious damage] - only in MMA it will be longer and more dangerous.

  • Please, understand me. I'm not trying to say "who's better", I'm showing you the facts and what are the differences - and I do say Krav is much more effective [and MUCH less dangerous for the fighter. you'll not let anyone touch you] for street fighting.

Krav can kill from one side, and neutrelise in a harmless way from the other side.

The choice is in the fighters hands.

  • Well after what i have seen of MMA IRL i would say that MMA kicks kravs ass in street fighting.. loadse of my friends train MMA and (IM NOT BRAGING NOW IF SOME ONE THINKS THAT!) after what i have seen in IRL street fighiting i will say that MMA is better. the moste i have seen one have fighted with is 1 VS 4 and he kickt their ass (and no they wasnt weak or small they where normal *fighters* and it was no training or somthing like that.. so i just say after my expirience MMA kicks kravs ass ;D

  • Well, then I guess you never saw a Krav Maga fighter. That's all I have to say.

One of my friends trains Krav for almost 10 years. No one at school, even those who train in MMA, DARES to think about starting a fight with him, even those who weigh 50 lb more than him - he is very short and thin, but after a very big muay thai guy [not fat - VERY muscular] from our school started a fight with him - no one dares. He simply kicked his ass in 5 seconds, without getting hit once.

  • yes i have.. and to say it like this i was NOT impressed.. and if he kickt his ass in 5 seconds he hited him on a good spot.. it's not hard to kick some ones ass in 5 sec if u just know where to hit.. lets take this as an example.. its unfair playd but its just an example *kick him in the nuts then kne to head* then hes out easy as that.. and as long as i can see and heare i will still say that MMA is best fighting tecnik in rings and at the streets.

  • No. Actually he blocked his kick to the head, caught his hand while the muay thai guy tried to punch his head, kicked his leg and then his ribs and then got a punch into the poor guy's head. Something like that - I don't remember exactly.

And this is the thing about Krav - it is not trying to be impressive, but it will help you to protect yourself in the fastest and most effective way.

  • thats easy in MMA to if u just know what u are doing... well here u fail a bit.. MMA ppl try to impress when their in the ring out side it they dont try to impress they use the best tecniks they know to protect them selfs... what u have said to know that 4 me it looks like u have seen WAAAAAAAY to much MMA movies ^^

  • Don't be arrogant.

And if after watching this video you are still locked on mma for self defense I have nothing to tell you besides you are childish.

I'll try it for the last time - this time a bit differently - I guess there's a reason that top forces around the world, bodyguards and the most deadly people train Krav and not MMA.

Have a nice day and I hope you'll think about it.

  • yeah, i usd 1 second to do that.. and i will still say Krav is helpfull in battle.. and for me MMA is bether at streets and in tournaments from my point of sight.. Sry if u thougt that i ment it bad when i said * u have seen WAAAAAAAY to much MMA movies ^^* it was just a friendly joke.. BTW.. im childish because i think MMA is bether in streets then krav and krav is bether in battle then MMA? i think u should think about what u just saide there...

  • MMA is more helpful in tournaments. Krav is more helpful on the streets\real life battles.

  • Ok, lets say it like this so it ends ;P

From ur point of sight and expirience u think krav is bether in streets/real battls.

From my point of sight and expirience i think MMA is bether in streets!

  • "If Martial Arts were passed down from heaven, Krav Maga has been passed down from hell."

It uses the best and gruesome Martial Arts techniques, without being limited by the Martial Artists' code of honor or philisophical rule. There is one rule: kill your opponents and get away.

They do use grappling by the way diseased512.... But -unlike MMA- it's not their goal.

  • In KM you are only studying the best moves to incapacitate your opponent using the least amount of energy. Let's say you had a totally intense MMA workout and are totally spent. That night you get attacked. You don't have the energy to roll or battle with the person. In fact, even if you were fresh there is a chance the opponent is more fit than you. Your life is on the line so you attack his most vunerable body parts. This could be life and death! If you gas first you are dead.

  • I like this. You guys are getting the idea!

  • Also, with MMA you are not training to protect your most vunerable points. TheWhen you do top level MMA ground work you are not worrying about protecting your groin. Also, going to the ground should be avoided on the streets because often both fighters get hurt from what is on the ground. Its not a ring. Also on the streets many attackers have knives and/or a gun. How much do you practice defending against that in MMA? You cant shoot on someone holding a knife. One jab and you can die.

  • when I see them toss knife, bats, and guns in the ring and see one dude come out without to much blood alive I'll believe MMA isnt a sport anymore and take it alittle more seriously. This system wasent designed to be a sport even the Gracies train in Krav Maga and infact Krav has quite a few BJJ techniques incorporated into its system. U can not compare this system to MMA since Krav isnt for a sport MMA is.

  • But -seeing MMA as "Mixed Martial Arts"- there is no saying what MMA is exactly. If I do Krav Maga, learn Judo, Taekwondo and whatnot and combine all those, it is considered MMA as well, and I'll probably be even -if not stronger- than a regular Kravist. This guy from this video does MMA as well, combining Jujutsu and Krav. Get my point? But then we're talking about very vague terms...

Officially Krav is not a Martial Art, I know that.

  • Um.....dude Krav is a system with a combo of all that it has judo karate kali BJJ Muy thai etc inputed into it and it is a martial art depending on the context

  • it is a combo of some techniques from those systems, not a combination of those systems.

People who learn Krav Maga don't know ALL Judo techniques, ALL Karate techniques etc. There are many useful techniques that are left out of the system (obviously). So if you learn the complete Judo system, obviously you'll know more than someone that does "just" Krav Maga.

And no it's not a Martial Art. Officially it's a self defense system. Don't know why.

  • @lordtains KM is a Martial Art as well as a Self Defense System. A Martial Art is a Codified System of Combat.

  • From what I've heard, it is not considered a Martial Art at all. All the people I've talked to that practice Krav also back this up.

Not all fighting arts are Martial Arts.

  • I am curious why you think someone should study MMA for self defense on the streets when in MMA they never practice the most important places to strike on the street. The groin, back of head, eyes, throat.

  • Ok o.O MMA is 4 SELF DEFENCE ur trying to get ur apponent "down" then just get away... you arnt suppost to make them blind or kill them.. the only time u are "allowed" to kill is when its the only way out...
