I find it cruel of these people to throw in a live chicken rather than giving it a quick and painless death beforehand, but the tiger is not intelligent enough to consider what is more comfortable for its prey.

Most likely the chickens are given to the tigers live since executing chickens themselves would be a wasted step as there's no law forcing them to do so. Also viewing a live feeding is probably another revenue stream. If you don't have the stomach for it why watch it? I'm sure Cartoon Network has something more suitable for your likes.

The Tiger is a magnificent and beautiful animal that is endangered due to poaching and destruction of habitat caused by humans. A tiger needs years of training from it's mother to learn how to hunt and survive on it's own. Truly a magnificent animal is the tiger. Oh yea and by the way..
