@ShiryuGL yeah harmony gold regretting is regretting their decision now though, a lot of my gamer/anime friends have this game (modded for english text, of course) saved with our emulator packs. i think the increased interest in macross is why they have been releasing alot more of their games here cause they realize their is a market here for those games. too bad they pulled the trigger too late though they could've made alot during the snes era.

@gunsniper0018 Nintendo had very hars policies bacjk then, made a huge profit on each cartridge dale. It was very risky bussiness to release games outside of Japan for small companies. There are so many games like this id rather not thing about it. It's our denied childhood.

i think that we may never see classic games that we like or that are from japan. i am still waiting for playstation to bring twinbee rpg for the playstation as a download. this is wrong, at this rate i may have to sell my wii just to get some good games and a super nes just to play the good games. nintendo need to get better classic games or i will never hear the end of it.

really!?! i like the twinbee series, i just wish they would release twinbee rpg. i know that konami made twinbee collection for the psp, but they only released it in japan. konami needs to release twinbee collection in america. the only thing that was not in twinbee collection is twinbee rpg (it plays like mega man legends).

p.s. i like twinbee rpg better. also thanks for emailing me, twinbee is my favorite 2d shooter.

here is the problem, i only played the arcade versions (thanks to mame) and i looked up the stuff about twinbee rpg, i even sent emails to konami to bring the twinbee series to america (and twinbee rpg, hopefully for the wii), but i have played the twinbee games and i don't think they are shoot'em ups (i called the twinbee series a bunch of cut'em ups games, they are so cute when they are japanese animated).

p.s. did you also play the second No More Heroes?

do you think that nintendo should remake this game for the wii ware? i think they should. this is what the remake should have: 2-d gameplay with 3d backgrounds, anime cutscenes, new weapons and even new unlockable ships to use, also the storyline should be translated from the japan version (not the american version) just like final fantasy 3 they need to translate the story mode from the japan version. how does that sound?

I highly doubt Nintendo care about this game but even if they did they would have to go through Harmony Gold to release this game. Hence why there have been NO Macross games out here.

Harmony gold would only agree if they based off Robotech and took out any of the contradictions that macross had.

I absolutely loved this game. I agree with you, fantastic music, terrific gameplay, simple controls. Only thing was that it was a little short, but had good replay value :)

This is a great shooter, I would put it up there with the best the SNES has to offer of this genre. I personally like using Max, those homing missles are extremely useful in situations where positioning is a problem. Good upload!
