If you think about it, wouldn't taking fruits and vegetables from the White House garden to prepare meals at Kitchen Stadium in New York City defeat the purpose of using locally grown produce? That would be a bigger waste of money than just buying locally, don't you think?

At least the White House produce was donated to a local food pantry, while more local produce was provided to the chefs in Kitchen Stadium.
