Well u could be putting it in Recovery Mode not DFU mode. If you want to jailbreak your ipod touch on 3.0 Check out my channel and look at the video called Jailbreaking ipod touch 2nd Gen 3.0 and you can get the firmware for free.

so recovery mode is when it has the itunes logo and usb cable right?

Yeah that is Recovery Mode you want DFU mode not Recovery

when i download redsnow, i try to run it but it says:

windows cannot not open this file:

File: redsn0w-win_0.3.zip.4841586.TP­B.torrent

to open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer.

Thanks man!!! That looks very simple... but I have a question... do this way of jailbreaking presents the problem for rebooting??? I mean, many people say that suddenly the ipod crashes and u have to reboot or restore it by the computer.
