lol! don't know how slippery that is, but in Norway we drive over the mountains in around 80-90km/h on thinner roads on pure ice, without a lot of problems.. so yeah, it clearly comes down to experience. to bad that guy didnt have it.. would think so tho since he drives a goddamn pickup :p

Why didn't the fellow in the CR-V pull ahead another 20 ft and let the traffic go by. And the fool gets out and starts looking at his little dent. @xlaurenstephens In Texas we have an over populated amount of people driving Ram Trucks and almost all of them drive wrecklessly. We must have some good salesmen in terms of being optimistic because in this economy you have to be a dumbass to own one.
@xlaurenstephens if you study the driver, the trucks back end slides out on the ice, then he brakes, not a issue of going too fast, an issue of someone who had a rear wheel drive vehicle and couldn't drive properly if his life depended on it.
When i went to San Francisco on Jan 21 of this year we were in a car wreck where we did a 360 on a five lane highway @ 80 MPH scariest 5 seconds of my life and we still got out and the first thing we did was ask if everyone in the car was okay and went straight to the guy that hit us then when he said we are okay THEN we checked out our car.
For those of you that keep saying "Woman Driver" It was the male driver that slid first, because he was following to closely, then HE didn't put on his flashers, Then HE got out of his car on an icy bridge and HE crouched out of sight of the other drivers, to look at the damage. If you notice the woman stayed in her car until the officer arrived. Seems to me like the woman may have handled it wrong, but did the right things. HE was the idiot. You can see that the driver of the pickup stood on the brake once the slide started at 0:23. The whole thing could have been avoided if they'd lifted for a second and allowed the wheels to roll and gain traction. The moment you lock your brakes is the moment you've lost control on ice and the car will carry on in the direction it's going, be that forwards, backwards or sideways.

Second, the collision occurred at a slow speed and the two cars were traveling in the same direction, which means lower force of impact (low risk of injury). If you're going to hate on someone, hate the driver of the truck for not checking on the welfare of the other driver. You know, the one he just hit because of some measure of impatience.
