  • the cadets are in there too

  • these faggots sit in a warehouse and play with each other all day? how gay can you be

  • @ballsackTbager not as gay as a ballsack tea bagger

  • this sucks!!

  • the BD suck dick anyways. shows are all for judges. and those fucking mirrors hide SO many marching errors

  • I don't personally play percussion, but I have a true appreciation for the thing that keeps a band going when a director or drum major fails.

  • isnt that ivan pacheco?

  • They made it... two years ago... for fun... let it go.

  • really guys?! i just put these pants on

  • wow thats pretty sick. crazy chops. drumline is the fakest movie ever. the marched looking down?!?!? who makes a college drumline and cant play and march without looking down. fake!

  • Amazing....

  • FUCK THE MOVIE DRUMLINE............and i do not like the match grip in this.....but i suppose its more difficult to play on the ground trad

  • Its dirty.... like not clean. None of the rolls are released cleanly. The tenor parts are kinda sick though

  • not tryin to be a dick, but if your gonna celebrate, make sure all that snare show is clean. sounded like all 12 of you instead of sounding like 1 like it should. looks cool, entertaining to people that havent been around good marching lines like the cavaliers, music city mystique or the blue devils. but for the people that have, it really wasnt too spectacular.

  • Sitting here in this damn air conditioned office staring out at the trees in the distance, I smiled and laughed during the video and found myself nodding my head.

Miss my mallets, miss my sticks, miss my drums, but I guess I'm too old for that shit anymore. Thanks for reminding me how much fun it was.

  • Love this!

  • Blue Devils <3

  • dude blue devils are like any other college line now.. all about hype.. and no concern for clean licks.... sigh*

  • its called blue devils entertainment meaning they always make up stuff the day of where ever they r playing usually and never practice it. thats all niner fans warriors fans pro bowl and all other major corporation promotions care about them doing is hyping thats what this video is for lots of people dont understand clean licks they just like seeing flashy stuff. how ever if you seen the past drum corps show they won drums in finals and undefeated all season long.

  • ballerz

  • ? odd but awsome

  • gothrowsome2a is right. this is bd entertainment

  • the guy at 0:34 was our drum instructor for a year he was awesome

  • so the guy at 0:34 was our drum instructor for like a year at Arcadia it he was awesome

  • @ahsbandaz the fat one? we had an brass instructor from bluecoats

  • Bass 3 or maybe it was four is now the Blue Devils bass tech.

  • OMG, throw me a bone

  • fail

  • BAWAHHHAAA..... I know right!

  • this the Blue Devils in a more entertainment type form...not meant to be hard or anything like corps...

  • no this is blue devs entertainment a branch of blue devs that fundraise

  • that's what i said

  • my bad i thought you said they were just having fun haha

    well point is they're good

  • no.

  • any one knw what the song is at 0:00 to 0:30 ?????

  • its "I like the way you move" by Outkast. Then its "Hey Ya" by the same group.

  • There's also drumlines to visually entertain while playing great and amazing stuff and compete

  • It's cool, but it's not BD. Not amazingly clean, but there's a different between drumlines made to visually entertain and those who play to play clean for championships at the end of a year.

  • It's either BD from the '02-'03 era or a side line. Ivan Pacheco and Eric Oterra (center around that time) can be seen on snare, as well as Miguel Guaderrama on Tenors. Ivan took the snare title in '04, and I think Eric won in '03

  • that is beatbox and hip hop

  • They are so bad ass

they can do stuff like this and not be considered gay

    hell yeah

  • That's pretty dayum awesome:)

    I play Bass # 3 in my school's drumline!

  • Yea AG and Pete!

  • das am anfang mit den sticks is geil^^

  • i would LOVE to see the Blue Devils do some technical Death Metal

    that would be insane

  • finally another drum corps/death metal fan

  • hell yeah

  • my entire drumline are metal heads. born of osisris.lol

  • yes sir i do.

  • Dude me three. I love me some Lamb of God (although not really death metal)...

I didn't know there were people out there like us!

What kind of metal do you drum corps guys like?

  • i personally like suicide silence, job for a cowboy, arsonists get all the girls stuff like that

  • Well that makes 4 of us drum corps/death metal fans....do any of you guys have facebook cause im thinking about making a group just for us.....

  • Well that makes 4 of us drum corps/death metal fans....do any of you guys have facebook cause im thinking about making a group just for us.....

  • yeah

  • I've got a facebook. Make the group!

  • I'm into Nile, Behemoth and the sort... and I'm planning on marching Vanguard this year. Invite me to the group xD

  • don't let the uneducated posts get the best of you

  • Hip Hop and drum corps do not mix well

  • as for some of the comments Ive read. All I have to say is "WOW, THE IGNORANCE IS ASTONISHING!!!"

  • I agree with iDrummerGirl totally. Ive been playing since I was 6 and all the movie Drumline is good for is entertainment. It has no educational value what so ever and I personally dont know why they made a movie about an aspect of marching music NO ONE really cares about and thinks is totally rediculous. Show bands went out, DCI came in, let dieing dogs die in peace.

  • show bands are actually quite popular in the south and especially in historically black colleges. so yes...people do actually care about that aspect of marching music and no it's not totally rediculous. this is coming from someone who doesn't prefer show bands and has marched two years of drum corps. next time try not to act like the authority on the subject and speak for everyone

  • @UMassColt73 wend they die?? just like rap died?? no just bcuz U dont like it, duznt mean that the other hundreds of thousands of people that take pride in hbcus dont.

  • @UMassColt73 thats just ridiculous...youre saying that the whole contry does corp style!...haha my how you are wrong...that movie inspired me to become a drummer..now i march in a college drumline...and ive seen plenty of non corp style...you gotta remember that music is entertainment..and not all crowds want corp style..they want groove and funk..and thats why in the south its still like that...

  • @yoyoyoimBC ok first of all funk is some of the hardest percussion to play.....and shit in drumline is not funk......and if its easy....its automatically not entertaining in the first place and......only people who like easy shit......dont know shit

  • @MightyMerold youre fuckin stupid...you clearly know nothing about music and entertainment...ever heard "keep it simple stupid"? Not everyone in a crowd is in corp but they know what good music is....if its good its good...you dont need rlrrllrlrrllrllrllrllrlllrflamlrllrllrllrllflamllllrlrlllrllrlrflamrrlrlflamlrllrrlrrllrlrrlllrllrlrrlrllrlrlrlrrr to make music good...what you say is good is different than the crowd and honestly it doesnt matter what you think is good its what they think is..

  • @yoyoyoimBC you idiot DCI is not about entertainment persae its about having only THE ELITE OF BRASS, PERCUSSION, AND COLOR GUARD compete against each other. Thats why its called "Marching Musics Major League" . I did it for 4 years and loved it, I was around people on my same level and better that I could LEARN FROM. That southern show band crap DOESNT TEACH ANYTHING CREATIVE. All it does is entertain a HAND FULL of people that could easily fill a high school stadium

  • @UMassColt73 read what i say before you make a stupid comment...plus what do you get out of a performance if you have no crowd? um nothing? exacly DCI is about entertainment or else they would not make exciting shows...

  • @UMassColt73 Lol this post is absolutely ridiculous. Where did you march? Because most of the people in drum corps wouldn't degrade anything like this. Its for fun. Take a chill pill.

  • @UMassColt73 this is to show that even they appear to have the precision of robots they are still silly and human underneath...true performers

  • @UMassColt73 i think the moral was to unite as one and that you have no skills if you can't read music

  • you're a fucking gay fag dick shit ball eater chode chomper DOUCHE FAGG FUCK SHIT HEAD!!! THIS IS SWEET!

  • NO - It is gay and stupid. Just like you. Drum Corps and hip hop shit should never be mixed. If these kids are actually Blue Devils it means thay have real talent. Why waste it dancing around like a bunch of idiots?

  • MAYBE THEY WANT TO HAVE FUN??? EVER THINK OF SOMBODY ELSE??? THIS MAY SOUND REDICULOUS BUT ITS TRUE!! THEY LIKE TO HAVE FUN AND MAKE NEW BEATS AND ALL THAT!!! fuck off

  • Now is that any way for a Christian to talk? Potty Mouth! - Still Gay

  • you're dumb.

  • i would understgand if this were in a show or some event. but they are young men who have interests outside of extreme corps marching too. they were just letting loose. like i said. if this was a band playing this in stands or part of a show or at some event it would be stupid

  • excuse me, young men and women.

  • you guys are all stupid...do some research. This group has been around for more than five years as a part of BDE or Blue Devils Entertainment. They produce live stage shows in a form similar to blast. Their roster of talent spans the globe to include instrumentalists, dancers and singers and even circus performers. They don't have to be former BD marchers...

  • this guy is right. the snare drummer wearing a hat actually marched cadets, not BD.

  • wow dude way to be a jack ass

  • and just for the record...if the drill255 payed any attention whatsoever to the blue devils or dci in general would realize that BD havent have blue rims since the 2006 season

  • No...they marched before. The tenor player in the beginning marched rcc and so did some of the snare players that i could see.

  • None of these guys look like theyve marched drum corps

  • I happen to know one of these guys personally and marched with him at UMass. He was in the Cadets snareline for 3 or 4 years.

  • Totally fake

  • hey, that just as well means that you're a fucking faggot douche bagger cock sucking MOTHER KUCKING CUNT SHOOTING PUBIC PUKE SHIT EVER MADE!!

  • lol

  • yea, blue devils also use traditional, not matched. not blue devils

  • i dont think its the blue devils cause the rims of the drums arent blue and not al the drums have black heads

  • This type of mayonnaise would have never been done under Scott Johnson.

  • I think this video rocks. Anyone who knows anything about drumline, or drum corps, knows that at this level, they are extremely disciplined and work hard. The Blue Devils are no exception. My drumline instructor marched head snare for them a couple of years ago.

I think it's awesome that they can have fun and mess around - and let us see it.

  • It's dirty as hell.

  • this video is stupid.

  • DUDE YOU"RE A FUCKING STUPID DICK HEAD!! ALL IM GONNA SAY!!!

Shit can stand in for the terms bad (Dinner was good, but the movie was shit. You're all mad at me, but I didn't do shit!). A comparison can also be used, as in Those pants look like shit, or This stuff tastes like shit.. The phrase, I don't give a shit denotes indifference. I'm shit out of luck usually refers to someone who is at the end of their wits or who has no remaining viable options. That little shit shot me in the ass,

  • you're entitled to your opinion, as am I.

however, i would like to point out that i didn't even use the word that you reference the meaning and uses of.

  • And this is why they lost to PR at finals,.,. If only they woulda spent the time practicing...

  • lol wtf. thats pretty dumb.

if u were educated enough ud obviously know this is like some bullshit promo they did like with no actual how would you say.....purpose. its like saying some great ass singer starts singing along to merry had a little lamb and you judge their full potential.

no offense but this has to do NOTHING with what BD is really about. Get educated.

  • For those of u guys who says this isnt the BD drumline are not very good at observing things at all. If u look at the drummers on this video u can clearly see that they are the Blue Devils Drumline

  • Than that confirms by thinking that BD has nowhere near as clean a line as many other corps out there. Phantom and Bluecoats for instance.

  • lol thats bull crap. I am not blowing your observation away. im just saying theyre not anywhere as near bad as you say they are. u make them seem like a lesser corp.

BDs rep is almost unbeatable. of course not perfect but you cant think lesser of BD under any circumstances.

  • Yeah you have a point. My first comment was hyperbole. I'm just saying though, I don't like BD, don't really like their style, and don't really like their attitudes. Nothing really that bad against them. They're still a corps making some bad ass music. Just not my corps of chioce by any means.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes melder and all you doubters that its BD. that is and was the BD drum line. I was the Percussion Caption Head for the Targets DBC in 06 and I met alot of those guys in the video as well as Casey Brohard that are now former members. The rest are current members. If you dont believe me write Sco Jo and ask him yourself.

  • those gigs are fun as hell...pretty much a party the whole time...and they pay well

  • pay well? Like what... $50? $100? While BD is running around playing slop for corporate brunch, USC was on stage playing with Radiohead at the Grammy's.

  • xD you DUMB FUCK!

R u serious? ur so full of shit.

you do not KNOW shit about BD

i will not even state how retarded you made urself look. trying to somehow say USC is in any way better than BLUE DEVILS. read up retard. watch vids. ur just plain retarded.

  • If BD is so awesome, why do they PAY to perform? So big deal if they each get paid $50 to play at some tiny ass business party. They still paid thousands of dollars to join BD. They're NOT making money.

USC is on TV in front of hundreds of millions of people worldwide with Radiohead. They played CLEAN unlike this shitty video.

  • The Blue Devils are non profit. I don't think anyone who has ever been a Blue Devil joined for the purpose of making money. Drum Corps isn't just about the showmanship, it's about performing with other talented people.

USC is certainly one of my favorite college bands, but they are more of a show and spirit band. In terms of musical skill and the creativity put into their shows, the Blue Devils are by far superior. That is something to say for a pool of younger performers.

  • ach das versteh ich nicht. warum hat die Blue Devils 6 bass?

  • Obviously many a youngster on here knows NOTHING about PAID BUSINESS/CONVENTION entertainment gigs! (Laughing my ass off at the comments/hand-wringing over this being "real" or not.)

Great stuff guys/sorry we didn't get to work with you guys/provide drums for the Orlando gig last month. Keep killin' it, and hope to work with you in 09'. (Yes, boys and girls, they actually get PAID to do this! Companies ain't worried about "clean beats" but can you ENTERTAIN!)

    Peace

    Tom

    INFINITY Entertainment

  • *sigh*, relax everyone, its real A corps drummers, past and present. this is their promo video for BD Entertainment, so that corporations can see what they can do and hire them to do different type shows for money. a sweet way to spend time drumming in the off-season for alot of them.

  • this is the real BD's...not the B corps, but the real thing...actually a couple of the guys in here have aged out so this is old or maybe some present and former members

  • hahaha omg all of ur guys' comments are stupid...THIS IS the Blue Devils Drumline, they basically were just having fun. This hip hop thing was for entertainment, and it took them like a second to rehearse and play it. IT WAS FOR FUN

  • +1

Although I'm not familiar with the Blue Devils (or DCI) I can imagine they've been playing their drums for years.

  • no they just picked them up right before the video

  • ok seriously. this obviously isnt BD. since when do they march 6 basses? or play matched? its cool, but its not the blue devils. its probably just some drumline that happens to have the same name.

  • No, this is BD. It's on their official BD Youtube account.

  • At 1:30 the singles sound horrible

  • lol ur not lying. but yeah. this was a pretty much for fun thing......its pretty obvious.

they probably came up with this like on the spot and played a bunch of crap to put together this vid lol.

  • That was great.

  • For those of you dissing this video, think of it this way: they rehearse for August championships starting the previous November. Of course that stuff is going to be clean! This was probably something they made over two days; rehearsal time is pennies compared to show music.

Their priority is the show - not this. It seemed like this is the line having fun and making it look cool too.

Appreciate it for what it is, all you snobs out there. Let's see you make their line and play as good as them.

  • this is the blue devils 'b' corp

  • this sucks. the guys look stoned.... NOT the blue devils.

  • Dont worry it is not the BD's drumline. Cool tricks and nice jamming but sounds like marbles falling down a staircase compared to the real BD's drumline...well 2008 notwithstading. That year was bad for the DL. Placed 5th and 6th in percussion scores at finals.

  • This cant be Blue Devils. Please tell me its not blue devils.

  • What the hell!! Is this the Blue Devil Drumline. Please tell me it isn't. CRAP! It's not even sequenced well with the sound track. How bout some clean beats. Even if you are playing for money, at least play well. And the person producing. How bout it!!!!

  • people like u are the reason i almost quit music. for christs sake they are obviously just having some fun.

  • kind of cool, but over edited and pretty dirty.

  • I've never seen anything sexier :D :D :D :D

  • how stupid.

  • I LOVE IT!!!!...<3

  • thats just a damn tease.

    sexiness...

  • This isn't the Blue Devils!!!

  • for a blue devils the bass where....yea

  • Man, that was DIRTY!

  • hundreds of thousands fucktard

  • haha of course it was fake in Drumline.. how many actors/percussionists do you think there are?

  • only BD... *rolls eyes*

and in reply to wilsonkm.. if anyone went up againt the drumline in the movie Drumline, they'd shatter them. get a line with real talent. the characters in the movie aren't even playing! have you ever noticed how when they're close up, they never show their face AND hands/drum? it's because it's all fake! Drumline the movie is a disgrace. i'm sorry, but it is.

  • lawlawlawlawl its true. Ugh so bored I hate my drumline this year....

  • Is this really BD? They don't play matched.

  • try doing all those stick tricks in traditional grip. They can play matched whenever they want.

  • i think this is actually BDE

  • For those who doubt me, listen to 1:03

  • I don't blame you....I'm not a percussion player and I can tell it's not clean.

But regardless, I think if they had a showdown against the movie Drumline, they would shatter everybody.

  • um, duh. im no percussionist- im a woodwin. but i think its pretty abvious the people in drumline would be easy ot beat. relativly easy.

  • it was cool but dirty as hell.

For those who are about to criticize me for criticizing the amazing blue devils drumline, please realise that this is NOT the blue devils drumline. this is the blue devils ENTERTAINMENT drumline, a seperate organization. This is NOT the dci line that gets first place all the time. In fact, if this line were judged on the standards of DCI, I would be willing to bet money that they would come in last.

With that being said, it's still a really cool video.

  • This are however the guys from the BD lines that are constantly winning High Percussion.

Now why its so dirty... is beyond me

  • Yeah. I've been wondering why it so dirty as well. Maybe they just didn't care that much since it wasn't a comp???

  • No doubt. Theyre just having fun.

Plus they are recording in a warehouse... sound rebound can contribute a hell of a lot to the dirt if only the guy recording our compitions would learn that.

  • Haha yeah. Recording in a warehouse will contribute greatly to how your sound ends up. And man wish the recording guy would learn it so all our recordings sound just as amazing as when it's live.

  • Dont forget the fact that I'm sure they didn't have a lot of time to practice this. Between WGI and DCI I'm sure these guys were working with something else, this looked like it was just a side project. That and the warehouse, Thats probably it.

  • but didnt all of these guys either marched bd, rcc or techs rcc and bd.

  • a-ma-zing! i loved it!!

  • :27 DAYMN

  • ya seriously amen perilousskies--theres no reason that the 2007 1st placers cant turn around and have some fun, right?

  • haha that was so freakin sweet

  • I think some people forget what makes DCI so appealing to begin with. Everyone in is shares the common love for music, but these guys don't work their tails off just because of a corp name, they do it because they love the people in the corp... watching vids like this is only a reminder that there are personalities underneath those uniforms, and raw talent that transcends past what a field director has laided out as drill. Keep making your vids, and keep creating your beats!

  • that was SICK.

  • This video shows creativity OFF OF THE FIELD. Which is amazing. I love it. And anyone who can seriously think that they can get away with criticizing hard working people is an absolute morn. Just because you cannot do this does not mean they can't. Amazing BD drum line <3 you guys. (even though im a horn player).

  • Let 'em hate, they will still kick a** on the field....

  • The hateful comments just prove that Drum line is no longer allowed have fun, and that DCI has got to be serious. I march in a corps style band and hate show bands, and I loved it

  • I agree with the last comment. If you ever marched in a top tier line you could appreciate this. This clip was great. So many others who never marched in these lines think these guys are machines, but there just normal drummers with great skills. I wish we would of thought of this when I marched. Hats off to BD this year. But watch out my other boys in Blue ->Bluecoats are have a Bad Ass line this year.

  • I think, in my less than humble opinion, that the haters have never marched a top tier line. I had the privilage of marching SCV 1973-1975, had we the technology you would have cuahgt us doing stuff like this. You unwind your way, we'll unwind ours. See you on the field Baby!!!!!

  • Haha I love how people are hating against BD Entertainment. It's just for fun, it's not really meant for anything serious. You haters remind of the people that hate against Niner Noise. They're not out there to sound nice and clean, they're there for entertainment. And this video demonstrates the kind of fun they have while casually performing.

  • i dont see why everyone's hating. this is just a way to have fun. stop being such jerks and loosen up

  • I don't see the problem. Its a different style. They can play clean DCI style and then purely for fun and entertainment. But the comments are funny considering the number of african, afro-cuban, and latin styles DCI, College, and even high school have been borrowing from in last couple of decades. Those styles start here people - with a couple of kids beating on drums. There's nothing worse that a percussion snob.

  • case open, YOURE A DICK
