  • I love this song!!!

  • The lesson here is clear...If a couple guys show up and want to give you a ride in the back of a large moving truck, it's a fine fine day to run like hell!

  • I always see guys with long hair as having dirty underwear...

  • @fromthispoint, having lived in these kind of backgrounds, it all comes back to if your parents really watched over you. Don't ever try to blame the music, movies, tv.

  • wander how many young men listen to this song and it inspired with it beauty them to comit crimes maybe some are still in jails across the world , really nice melody beautiful organs and vocals and back up vocal arrangments one of the rare ones , but it sends a bad message to youths even in it beauty still not much very postive about it , but if you take it just a fine day to return home its nice....to bad it glamors crime life.

  • @fromthispoint I dont think it does at all . If anything....it just shows that in the end

a life of crime will always catch up . Great LP- by the way.

  • Thanks for the flashback..Holds up today Too.. stand up like a Man..What will be will be..

  • This song has always touched me. I have the 45 back in TN but I'm a long way from there so thanks for posting!

  • Great story. Can relate in a way I had family members that were connected. None of them in that much trouble.

  • There are two guys who aren't having a fine, fine day.

  • This song gets better ever time i play it !

  • From the keyboard part you can tell he was the keyboardist for Rainbow.

  • what a really classic is. i cant fight this feeling anymore.

  • I was 16 in 1984. What a year 1984 was. What a great time to be young.

  • @MrAppleseed88 I was 16 in late 1984 also..a great song and one that makes you think.....

  • Awesome job by posting this song. Its a blast from the past remembering how my wife would cry listening to this while her brother was doing time back in the 80's. Thanks!

  • thank you!!!! was great then and great now. wondered if i would ever see it again. thanks for bringing back great memories.

  • 1 person is so sad now that he realizes he hit the wrong button... It's a fine fine day!!!

  • i didnt know Phil Collins was a hitman!!

  • I used to love this song when it was out, but I remember it wasn't a very big hit. It was different than everything else that was out at the time and I guess people didn't get it. IMO it was about 5 years ahead of it's time.

  • who the dude that got shot

  • I heard this the first time August 16th 1986, 16th birthday on a car ride from N.C. to Virginia.

  • Tony Carey is amazing. He has so many great songs.

  • 1 person is not having a fine fine day!

  • Tony Carey was diagnosed with a particularly virulent form of cancer in March 2009. He spent twelve weeks in the hospital, underwent five surgeries, and although his odds of survival were only 10 percent, he beat the odds. A quote from Tony Carey: "I'm missing some of my organs; you'll be relieved to hear that the Hammond isn't one of them." You have to love Tony Carey's spirit, sense of humor and amazing talent.

  • @bingolongfart Brilliant joke. It took me a while to get it.

  • His highest rated song, Tony Carey, (from the charts) not that great to me, don't get me wrong Tony is awesome, I just think his other songs are better.

If you like Tony Carey, try: The First day of summer, I won't be home tonight, Blue Highway, or........Room with a view

  • Loved this song when I was younger. My sister did too. Brings back good memories.

  • This was my dads favorite song, he died just a year or so after it came out. Every time I hear it it reminds me of him and how tough his life was. I love ya Dad, RIP.......

  • @Rolangunslinger I miss my father aswell, he was a great mechanic he always had away wih those old trucks.

  • I've always loved this song.

  • FIVE STARS

  • A man gets shot around 4:20 of this video. And the ambulance and police arrive at 4:30. It must not have happened in New York. In New York a motherfucker can get rigor mortis waiting for the paramedics and cops after calling 911.

  • After all the years gone by .i could not forget this great song

  • holy crap! I love this song but had forgotten about the video..thanks!

  • This is a great song. At the expense of telling my age, I was in high school and used to go to dances and they would play it. I also had the cassette in my jeep( 78 cj 7).

  • This remindes me of Vassili... GOD I loved that man

  • my brother and i love this song it may have only made it to #22 on the charts but it was and is #1 for me and my brother

  • One hit wonder. But what a song, and the video is good too.

  • Sounds like John Mellencamp, but this boy is great singer!!

  • it seems like if you want to hear REAL singing and TRUE and HONEST talent you have to dig through the archives.Great singer who's not into the "pretty boy" concept and a story telling video makes"A Fine Fine Day" a lost classic.....hit #22 on the pop chart in the spring of 1984

  • One of the most underrated songs ever!

  • toney carey totaly rocks!! alot of people dont know that he played the keyboards in one of the baddest ass rock songs of all time, stargazer.

  • LOL- I know. And I remember when this song first came out- I thought it was Tim.

  • What's that crazy contraption the man is using to put letters on paper?

  • Looks like it might be a Hermes typewriter, but it's been a long time...

  • I take it back. Looks like a Remington.

    Google Images remington manual typewriter

The brand-name plaquard looks very similar.

  • Great to see this Tony Carey classic again. Rainbow rocked!

  • Danke schoen . . . finally after 24 years I get to see the final five seconds that all the other versions are missing. I knew I didn't imagine it! This is one of the most intricate videos ever made, a two hour movie storyline condensed to four minutes. One of a kind.

  • You mean the last five seconds of pigeon-toed waddling?

  • "pigeon-toed waddling" That is freakin funny!!

  • Wow, this brings back memories of growing up in Jersey, son!

Fugggggggggghedaboudit! Badda Bing, Bada Boom, Hoah!

  • Thank's ese' ,I really mean it.....it reminds me of my Great Uncle.......nuff ' said

  • As my friend used to sing when we watched this video on MTV back in the day... "It's a fine fine day for Uncle Sonny to get shot". It was kinda funny back then to hear him, now it just sounds dumb.

  • thanks for the memories, felt like i was driving my camaro listening to the 8-track tape on my craig powerplay deck!!!

  • Thanks herasle,... I looked for this song thinking it was Rod Stewart(beating my brains out) and the search engine tried to tell me who it was...Duh, GREAT tune!! Thanks again
