My good friend was divining an area called Mulga queen on the edge of the Great victoria desert for water for the newly established community in 1995. He found an area where the wires went nuts and finally blasted in search of shallow water, instead, he found a "glory hole" of coarse gold. in total, over 1500 oz of nuggety gold came from that one hole, and not a drop of water!!
Hey madgoldnz, I never use the wires until the patch has been established, although wires can be used on the hunt. Even whilst driving a vehicle (not recommended on paved roads with traffic. lol) Bronze wire works best although any wire will work. Divining is a dying art that has proven itself time and time again for myself.
Hi, very interesting clip! Thanks for taking the time to make it. I don't detect in Aussie, but being able to read an area is a skill for sure, and it looks like you've got it down.
Just one question, when you said that you've divined the area, do you use a divining rod when hunting for patches? Thank-you! :)
It means dragging a chain behind you while detecting which leaves a line to make griding an area easier
