  • well no shit idiot ofcourse they go straight up to it, they are firefighters. those firemen are awsome. did anyone notice how they were already packed up with their SCBA's on and everything and they were not taking there time like the other firemen in the other vidoes that i saw of cars on fire.

  • Good hustle by the firefighters though.

  • 2 died cuse noone called the fire dpt and you sitting there filming it buttheads

  • tha's a defect

    Dodge should pay for that

  • oh my god some people or so dam stupid a car's gas tank may blow up, it's tires can blow, front and rear bumpers are rare to blow and explosions happen alot havn't any of you seen a gas tank go on a car? look it up theres ones on the site your on right now dumbass's

  • It wont blow up!!!

  • How come 2 people died? its not a strong collision maybe some wiring got rip that causes it to burn. in my opinion i think nobody dies there. there's a lot of chance to get out of the car:)

  • how horrible.

  • if it takes those fuckers 3 minutes to get there what is the point anyone would die by then

  • Duhhh, "If they had more gas in the tank, it could have blown up and taken you out..." WRONG. A full tank of gas does NOT explode. It takes oxygen mixed with gas vapor to explode. An almost empty gas tank is far more dangerous than a full tank. Where were these "educated" people when they taught this basic fact in science class? Duhhh. Idiots!

  • that was not the gastank exploding. clearly if it exploded you would have seen a large burtst of flames. trust me ik from experience. and it would not shoot shrapnel and kill u in a car like tht its not hollywood

  • the only thing that can explode is the gas tank but it is build to resist fire sometime

  • lmao these guys are dumbasses. Cars dont explode like you see on TV. You'll never see a huge fireball from the tank erupting in a car fire. That little burst right there is about all you'll ever see from a car fire.

  • i saw a car catch on fire once i was on the bus on the way to school two cars crashed and yeah it caught on fire. no one died though :)

  • Did he say fire extinguish station?

  • Yehr, how about everyone got one of thos firething stuff in his car, huh? yerks...

  • having less fuel in the car is worse then having a full tank because the fumes in the tank is what blows

  • that reminds me I must buy some pork meat for barbecue party

  • Cars coming the other way isnt too bright, Youd think theyd stop instead of driving by as if nothings happening.

  • that explosion at 3;20 was the spare wheel. i think it should be compulsary for all cars to carry fire extingushers!

  • just the good part, why didi you stop the movie?????????? anyway good movie

  • im a fire fighter and i can say im glad they got out of the truck just a moving great job guys

  • haha that brother getting out of the engine is cruising! Good thing he didn't take a digger.

  • it does take time to get to the scene and vehicles burn very fast. unless this happened in front of a station no fire department will get there in time

  • no one wants to pay EVERY firefighter in the country so they're what we call "volunteers." they come from work or home and go to the fire station

  • lol makes sense

  • you guys were fine where you were..

  • adambenji cars do blow up

if the fire burns through the gas tank it causes pressure which triggers an explosion.

  • cars dnt blow up... thats hollywood... if they did we wouldnt get so close and personal with em... jst stay away from the front and rear bumper

  • @adambenji if there is enough gas in the pertol thank it could explode

  • Looks as if the fuel injection system is chucking fuel in - a real problem on early electronic fuel injection systems. They're a death trap in a crash. Modern cars have a sensor that turns off the pump in a crash.

The "gas tank" doesn't explode, that's just tyres popping - this isn't a Hollywood film set.

  • Cars will not blow up... why? becuse then every time you start a bqq or gas evon it would blow up. if a gas tank was on fire it would just feed the flames

  • 3:17 fire hits gas tank

  • Shoulda' bought a Honda!

  • and about chryslerminivan1111's comment, some are more prone to catch fire like Chrysler minivans because Chrysler used cheap NON fuel grade o-rings for the injectors and o-rings to try and save money.

People have been killed including a couple elderly couples. However, they finally reluctantly recalled after immense pressure and more deaths.

Problem with recalls is that when a vehicle changes ownership, that person may not get notified or may not go to the dealer for service.

  • Chrysler sucks. There are far more random fires or fires from crashes that shouldn't have resulted in such fire than even GM and Ford combined. Chrysler is pathetic. If anyone doesn't think so check out my channel, my videos, my favorites and more.

  • cars do not blow up....im a firefighter in my town....people watch way to many movies

  • are you stupid? of course they blow up

  • ok yes they can but the chance is so little you are more likely to be hit by the tire of the car exploding or the crush restaint bumper flying of hitting you....not the car its self exploding in a fire ball...

  • were they fucking sleeping or sth that they took so long man...hahah they came after it was all gone..nice work

  • Dodge and Ford Minivans suck especally 2001 to2006

  • Reason #122,387 not to buy a Chrysler.

  • actually no, chryslers catch on fire when their in head on collisions

  • and crown victorias tend to explode when rammed in the back.

  • i heard about that.. its more likely in cops cro-vics since all the radio equipments back there. they said the fuel tank ruptures after an impact and when the officer keys up his/her mic the fumes from the fuel ignite causing the inevitible fire

  • Looks as tho hte impact ruptured a fuel line, not hte radio equipment

  • ok in this fire i agree, but i was refering to a prevoius comment in reguards to the "rear-ending a crown vic and catches fire like the pinto.."

  • some still do, i have a 95 p71 vic and the damn fuel tank is forward of the equipment well and behind the rear end. in a VERY bad spot in my opinion, yeah they do tend to pop when ass ended

  • This vehicle was not fitted with a crash detector to turn off the fuel pump!

Just hope you don't get trapped in it, or you'll be cremated.

  • all vehicles 1984 and above PER NATIONAL STANDARDS are equipped as you call them "crash detectors" actually called inertia sensors...therefore the fuel pump is most likely off, as for the explosion visible late in the clip, its a gas shock used to hold the rear gate open. thanks for the thought, but know what your talking about before you say it

  • OK, it was an educated guess as to why that vehicle burst into flames from the front. Perhaps there is a weakness in this particular vehicle? Any European car review gives the Voyager the worst MPV (minivan) category safety rating for occupants as well as pedestrians. Looking around in the UK, Voyagers don't need to crash to burn, they just seem to burn on their own accord due to xyz malfunction.

  • chrysler SUCKS

  • I beg to differ. Got an '01 Chrysler minivan with 100K+ miles and it's still running good as new.

BTW, the car in the video is a Dodge.

  • Dodge is Chrysler dude

  • lol a Chrysler Town and Country is the same thing as a Dodge Grand Caravan.

  • Wow talk about a giant car inferno... what the hell took the fire dept so fcking long??

  • Well this is way out from any city or town. Maybe that is why. Oregon is full of trees.

  • all those shit box vans always catch fire except hondas and toyotas

  • Comment removed

  • no, Dodge minivans catch on fire!

  • Caravans Suck.

    Get Honda Or Toyota!

DO NOT RATE BAD YOU FUCKING BITCHES!!! DAMN!

  • yeah i remember that one i was a firefighter that got there in the first rig that was not a good day the guy that you see pulling the victims out got an award for his actions

  • AND THEY SAY MINIVANS ARE SAFE. HA!

  • any front wheel drive can catch fire tis not just a mini van thing. you that much electrical crap under the hood with a fuel system made of thin metal and your asking for trouble. they never crash test any car with the engine running.

  • chrysler and dodge minivans known for blowin up saw one in atlanta myself

  • oh my god were the people inside ok?

  • oh my god why don't you read the description?

  • ok will do smart ass! in that case u got anything better 2 do than see a family get roasted in a van?!?!

  • oh my god did the people in the van get out?

  • The has tank never explodes. This is real life..

  • good reason to have a fire extinguisher in your vehicle

  • They don't really do diddily if the fire's established itself.

  • Sure, they do plenty of diddily. What you do is, after the fire has established itself and completely consumed and destroyed your vehicle, you point the extinguisher at another part of the road and poof: it magically spits out a perfect replica of your vehicle! That's how fire extinguishers work, they're like an extra car in a can. Don't you know that?

  • I had a car fire that wouldn't go out, despite three extinguishers being used up on it. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

  • holy crap those people were standing so close to that van!!! The struts and tires or even the gas tank could easily explode and kill them!!

  • Cars don´t explode, only in stupid movies!!

  • No you dumb shit I know the car isn't going to explode like in the movies how dumb do you think I am? Plus I didn't say the car was going to explode I said the STRUTS and TIRES would explode which happens all the time in real life. And if it gets hot enough The gas tank could explode too.

  • Actually something explodes on the van around 3:16 in the video.

  • Ya I cant really tell for sure but it looks like a tire. This was a horrible tragedy though - we had something similar here in Tampa - a woman and her daughter in their minivan were hit by some moron who was street racing at 100 mph in a 45 mph zone. Her van caught on fire and she and her daughter were trapped inside and they both burned alive. Happened on Sheldon road she had a son and husband who were devastated.

  • we need to be back up - we are not save. what a stupid comment.

  • What happened to the people inside??

  • i live in oregon i herd about that

  • ouch
