Though the Emerald Hill Zone theme was great in its own right, having a nice remix of the Green Hills theme from Sonic 2 for GG/MS used instead would have been a nice way to link the Genesis version of Sonic 2 to the GG/MS versions and Sonic CD.

@ChibiTails Or the Japanese version of Sonic CD. It's the main theme of Sonic CD (Toot toot Sonic Warrior) as well as the title theme, shoes theme, and so on.

The Sonic 1 Megamix team used the shoes theme from an early version of Sonic CD as the basis for their OWN shoe powerup theme (there are some subtle differences but it's pretty much the same).

When I found out that this theme was Sonic CD's main theme I was almost floored, because I LOVE this theme music!
