  • Oh 1920s... You so funny and great.

  • Is there any possibility that you know the band playing the Charleston here? I´ve been searching the tube but I can´t seem to find this version, which to me is the best one!

  • This song reminds me of "the Great Gatsby"

  • @Proxymoxy CHAAARLESTON, CHAAARLESTON, lol

  • what I would give to live in the twenties for at least a week

  • it ok to celebrate the 1920s...it was to celebrate the fact the spanish flu pandemic didn;t kill you much like the renaissance was to celebrate the fact you didn;t die of bubonic plague

  • What I would give to live in the 20s for a day..or a week...or forever O_O

  • What is the name of this song???

  • Charleston

  • @Aaron1912 name of the dance is the charleston...

  • I would love to dance the Charleston on the top of a taxi.

  • This so beats the hell out of the hip hop, rap crap were stuck with today! Great music .Great orchestras .Sweet lyrics that didn't degrade women or glorify gangs and ghetto life .Stylishly dressed people who respected each other and society having good clean fun . Dear God I pray the 2020"s will be half as elegant as the 1920:s were!!!!!! Keep taking us back Aaron 1912. Bravo!!

  • @sterlinggreg But why wouldn't you listen to people arrogantly bragging about how much money they have? Sounds fun to me.

  • 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

times better than ANY song of our times

  • Everyday they're shufflin' haha

  • @RoryDangerCox1 the party rock dance is actually partially based on the charleston :D

  • @TheSman515 yeah i know- great roots right. But just as long as world doesn't think that lmfao are anywhere near the best shufflers there

  • @TheSman515 Nope, party rock dance is called shuffling. Something alllll these people didnt know about until that song came out and everybody started to do it. They got inspired to do it, because the underground rave scene was all about shuffling, hard shuffling, hardcore, malaysian. but they just made it big.

  • @OfficialOptimusCryme Nah mate not true- party rock anthem didn't create shuffling, they're actually quite poor shufflers compared to those who've been doing it years before that

  • @RoryDangerCox1

    haha no.1

  • @RoryDangerCox1 lmao! hahahahahah xD

  • @ragazzaincahuasi hahaha- what made you go back 6 or 7 comments pages? thanks though x

  • The song that starts at 1:03 is old-school sexy.

  • @haphazardharlot that's the previous one but slowed down xD

  • Could someone for the love of god tell me why this woman isn't in the kitchen?

  • This makes me feel all 1920's. wait! did she just show ankle? ADULTERER!

  • First, think of all these "loose" women: Daughters of suffragettes from the Civil War era and onward who fought the battles so these girls could be, well, girls. Then, think of the Great War.

You know nothing about the Great War. It killed nearly 50 million people, for no good reason (Germany wanted what we'd call the "European Union"--hardly a terrible idea given what followed, and then the flu pandemic killed another 70 million.

    Young people.

    Dead.

Now look at the twenties. Dance!!

  • @Gryphonalia probably to old to be daughters of suffragettes but i think i see your point

  • @Gryphonalia "Germany wanted what we'd call the "European Union"--hardly a terrible idea."

Are you suggesting that this is the reason why the Great War started?

  • That's a electric bass guitar not a tuba O.o

  • The very song and dance step that still defines the 1920's today.

  • Thumbs up if Family Guy brought you here.

  • this song reminds me of edge

  • edge...

  • de quien es el tema este ?

  • So cool video! :D

  • try to do that on the roof of your 2011 whatever.....

  • Ojalá este baile se pusiera de moda otra vez, es genial!.

  • This reminds me of my grandfather so much. He taught me how to do this when I was four.

  • Where'd the music come from? I love 1920's music and this is a fantastic faithful rendition of it. It's the closest we can get to actually hearing how it sounded live without all the record hisses and static.

  • To see them dancing on top of a car made my day! Imagine them on an interstate.

  • o man this was a good laugh to bad there all dead now

  • I cant believe that they stole that move where you stand and turn your ankles in and out and change feet frot to back ( sorry cant remembe what its calld ) and take it from the 20's and put it into "nowdays" hiphop. its just plain wrong.

  • @Homwaway3 i cant see whats the problem with that... why is wrong to take an old an marvellous thing like charleston and give it a new.... "touch" if you will...

  • Луизиана , бутлеггеры , гангстеры , электрический стул ...

  • "Now Jazz It Up!"

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of LMFAO

  • What's the name of the first song??? what's the band name?!

  • Just image... a couple of decades later they thought Elvis' dancing was gross...

  • LOL!

  • So fun ! Thanks for this!!

  • daaaaaamn!!!!!!!! old skool swagg!!!!

  • the roaring twenties

  • i was there, it was aight

  • yikes, knee crashes hurt like hell!

  • this makes me wanna shuffle!!

  • LMFAO.

  • I think it's by Paul Whiteman.

  • if it's not too much trouble, I'd really love to know the title of the music played in this video please :) Much Appreciated

  • @Loopyinharmony I believe it is also called The Charleston!

  • 2:44 the Ancestor of 2-Steppin'!!!

  • Newsbreak:

Two dancers found dead in times square after dancing on top of a taxi:

Suspected cause: Run over by taxi.

  • @blazingdank420 on a seperate note:

They would outshuffle any of the kids in that party rock anthem video.

    Go 1920's

  • @blazingdank420 i highly doubt it.

  • @blazingdank420 LMFAO also suck at shuffle

  • @ThatGuyFromDK Indeed.. Which is why I said ANY OF THE KIDS IN THAT VIDEO. Not LMFAO themselves, they suck at everything including making music

  • @blazingdank420 LMFAOOO <333

  • @blazingdank420 That's true because the people in that video were terrible. I think melbourne shufflers would out shuffle any body.

  • @blazingdank420 hahah I was thinking the same thing. And the lady is in heels!!!!

  • the American exuberance killed stone-dead, by design, by the House of Rothschild.

google "Timeline of the Rothschild Family"

  • Looks like people wanted to have fun after witnessing the horrors of war

  • Damn, no wonder they were so skinny back then!

  • c walking in the 20s

  • everyday im shuffling

  • this is very entertaining.considering that todays 'great dancing'involves people grabbing and rubbing their genitalia everywhere,it looks like dancing has downgraded with time.

  • @pendolly Agreed

  • Three generations of women fought for women's rights and the flappers threw it all away in a gin infused gyration of materialism and decadence. They did it because they could, which is saying a lot, but like the world's fairs and architecture, it set everything so far back that it never quite recovered.

  • looks like fun liveing in Black and White but i like it now that we have colors lol jp

  • Just thinking... all these people playing and dancing... there are dead... ='( the life is a little sad... and short...

  • Wow I wanna live in the 1920's sounds like everyone was having a ball I mean this is way better!!!! :)

  • "Now you have something to do on those long taxi rides" HAHAHA YUP I'm sure I'll get on top of one with my partner and hope to god I don't fall and break my neck XD

  • @JTeamjesters Yes, that was the joke sigh

  • Would love to be able to Dance with Rhythm unfortunately my legs and brain dont connect so freestyle is the order of the day. ;)

  • Who made this version?

  • This dance is way more fun to do than it looks. I know it looks really F-ing but but trust me, actually doing it is just the most fun thing in the world you can do without having to be naked.

  • i love it how someone makes a black joke and then everybody is all serious about it "oh no this is not about that ..." "yeah you're so right black people rights' blah blah blah BLAH just enjoy the goofy people dancing man damn

  • I really was born at the wrong time.

  • this looks like shuffling to me .

  • @CallMeMrsDaisy well ironically part of shuffling involved the charlston, but a half-step charlston, alot of knee bending and footwork. Its still pretty alright :D

  • Neither did my white parents have it great in the 1920s, but that's not what this is all about. It's about enjoying the jazz and all the great music sounds from that fascinating period.

  • really good quality!

  • Jazz it up people.

  • Fantastico,Bellissimo! *_*

  • I WANNA DANCE ON A RIDING TAXI NOW.

  • how graceful she seems
