As we mentioned in the video, for the videos, they are compatible for both Joomla1 1.6 & 1.7. The changes made for Joomla! 1.6 in the comparision with Joomla! 1.7 is the SECURITY. So for the main functions and setting pannel, there is no differences.

I'm new and a beginner in Joomla 1.6 and I'm currently creating a website and my objective is to make all members (around 100 batchmates) as users and have all member's profile posted in one page. In this page a click to single letter ex: "A" all names start with "A" will appear. Please help me and guide me to make it something like that. I do appreciate a reply from you, thank you!
this post is good and has a lot of useful information about modules but moves a little fast with no real connection to examples of how the configuration is beneficial.
That's all cool. I just want to know how to piratically use it. Like how to put a video and a banner. This is a little boring. I want to see some simple action.
