Suspected Muslim insurgents triggered the explosion while the chief of Pattani province's Maikhaen district traveled along the road with the two others to investigate an earlier bomb blast in the province, police Lt. Pitan Lookrak said. "The suspected insurgents triggered two bombs hidden on the roadside," Pitan said.
