Here's a tip on beading boards: often the markings are not correct! In my full DVD I go over this and the easy way to correct the marks. In a nutshell measure a finished necklace/bead legnth with a reliable ruler and do some checking
Thank you for bringing this blog to our attention. I don't often post links that are sent to me because even the most rudimentary read finds them lacking. In this case I do agree what has been written about stringing materials and it closely follows what I present in my DVDs. I also checked out the Etsy link at the bottom (since the blog also promotes a store-space there. I think the ideals are well intended (giving a percentage to micro loans for women). All in all well written too.
Thanks for all the good words! To respond to questions: 1. Yes there are two more DVD's Wire Wrap and Wire Wrap II plus this Bead Basics lesson. The TV show will finally get going this year - with lots of posts to come. 2. Yes you can use embroidery floss. Use a foam ball or perhaps plastic bead and wrap your floss around it (hope that makes sense). Just make sure to leave a hole to string it! Sounds like some creative ideas are being hatched. - Lesley
Lesley is clearly very knowledgeable about jewelry making. This video is well produced, clear, concise, and looks like the series would answer any questions and give you some tips you might not have even thought about. I think this DVD would be the perfect gift for the crafts people in my family..

I have been wanting to learn the art of bead
stringing for quite a while but I wasn't sure
how to get started. I am going to buy this video set so that I can learn the right way
from the start. Ms.Mousette seems to really
know her craft well. I only hope that it is as
easy as she makes it look.
