The higher your tolerance is to hot conditions the more beneficial it is if your ever riding in hot weather conditions.

I don't think that is the reason they are working on the body temps. I think it has to do more with optimizing their internal engine. Something about keeping it cool so it can run better in the TT. Team Garmin was talking about it a while back and the weather was never mentioned.

Holy sh|t.... that's insane heat. I've been in a walk in oven with pants, a shirt, hoodie, and shoes....the temp was 287º.... i couldn't stay in there for more than 5 minutes at a time because it was like being cooked alive. I worked for Adam Aircraft where we built carbon fiber planes. We had to vacuum seal the carbon parts like wings and a fuselage, then cook them at high temps to mold everything together. Sometimes the vacuum lines came loose, we'd have to go in and re-attach them. IT SUCKED

Beef does not cook at 165 man. I've been in cars for extended drives where it was like 140-160F, it's hot and sweat lodge like but like I said, I can drive like that for a good stretch. 165F for beef cooking refers to the internal temp of the beef for it to be cooked to well done (ie. thoroughly cooked). But to get internal temps like that the oven has to usu. be set around 300 to 350F. All I know is I've gone on long hour plus car rides where the temp of the car is over 145F, not so bad.
