This looks like it would have been a fun series if they'd managed to wrangle the production rights from the LeBlanc estate. Also, I like the voice whoever dubbed this put in for Lupin VIII.
I kinda wish they'd made this. Judging from that video the animation quality is pretty good and I actually really like Zenigata's character design. And WTF Lupin in space sounds pretty awesome to me.
Come now, the Lupin III series had plenty of sci-fi aspects to it. Hell, even the Arsene Lupin novels by Maurice LeBlanc had some sci-fi to 'em. (See Josephine Balsamo)
Fair enough. I'd have at least given it a shot...has potential as long as they didn't just pull a 'Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century' and just adapt old stories (either from Lupin III or the original material) for a sci-fi story.

That is possible. However, there is no dialogue, there is no full translation of what the dialogue was supposed to be, and I run the risk of getting in trouble (i.e., banned) if I post the full thing on YouTube.
That being said, I recall seeing it on Stage 6, the DivX video site. I think it was listed as simply "L8", might try searching for that.
It's unlikely that this is what you saw. This series has not been released in any language. You probably saw one of the dozens of other Lupin movies or hundreds of other Lupin TV episodes.
Really? It was all futuristic and stuff, and my brother knows a lot about this kind of stuff and guessed that was it... come to think of it, it didn't look THIS much like Lupin, but was surely a similar style...
As LadyDeath said, it's from a TV series called "Lupin the 8th" which was never completed or released. This scene is from the pilot episode, which was allegedly never scheduled to air, but has circulated on VHS among fans here in the US and Japan.
