I agree with you here. I think he is confused, which most Christians are, concerning our relationship with God through Christ Jesus. Lordship Salvation has infected all churches, including the IFB churches. By the way, we Bible-believers are not a 'movement'. We are the remnant. We are the only people alive today that truly believe we have the inerrant Word of God, and not only that but WE BELIEVE IT!

This is why what you say frightens me to my core being- the "remnant" in the Word NEVER had the arrogance to call themselves that(Proverbs 27:2). Are you so very sure you're worthy of that title? What I meant by remnant is that we King James Bible believers are the only Christians that claim to have the inerrant and infallible Word of God, and not only that but we are one of the few groups that purposes to believe it first, whereas most men use their bibles (critical text based translations) as until it says something that makes them uncomfortable or contradicts darwinism.

Also calling Bible believers the remnant isn't meant to be a self praise. 99% of the comments I make on youtube are aimed at getting people curious enough to look into things for themselves, and such is the case with this comment of mine. I am absolutely convinced, by research, prayer, and openness towards being found wrong, that ineffably and forever the King James Bible is given to the English speaking people as the Infallible Words Of God Himself- and translations into other languages must be done carefully. Just because you recognize this fact does NOT make you the remnant. You remind me of the church at Ephesus. You're right. I do tend to exibit a bit of youthful pride, but I still firmly believe that there is a remnant of Bible believers around that haven't bowed the kneed to Ba'al or gone a whoring after other religions/gods etc. I don't believe I'm being prideful to say that I have kept the faith since I believed and recieved Jesus Christ as my savior. And claiming to be a part of the remnant of faithful believers isn't being prideful, since I recognize and profess it the work of Christ Jesus.

There is ALWAYS a remnant; God promised it in His Word, and He can never lie. If you say you've kept the faith, then God bless you in Christ's name. Every redeemed child of His has kept the faith, yet failed to do the same. It is our human condition, that God tempers and steels by allowing experiences in our lives to sharpen and develop us into "The image of His Son"(Romans 8:29) Let God claim you as one of His remnant, never yourself(Proverbs 27:2)

Also, I perceive the most ungodly and wicked concept behind a message such as this is the arrogant, unspoken presumption that turning away from a specific church or denomination is equivalent to turning your back on God Himself. It is not usually specifically openly said, it usually is an unspoken presumption. May God show mercy and redirection to the churches who allow preachers to preach this misguided, scripturally incorrect message, based on satanic FEAR rather than GOD'S PROMISE.

It's easy to turn to God and forsake the world when the world has already forsaken you. Mr. Spurgeon faced a horrific sentence. It is EASY to take up the Word when It is your only way to avoid prison. I was there in person and witnessed his time between his repentance of violent crime(repentance AFTER arrest and court date), and his actual court date. He was willing to serve God in prison, and serve his sentence. I respect that. BereanBeacon says the change is "amazing". I say not so much.

Anyone getting saved is AMAZING. My thought is this: Christ's Words say it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to find the Kingdom of Heaven(a millenial reference we can use spiritually to compare a "succesful" man today coming to Christ vs. a desperate man in need). It was easier for Dave to come into this way of life; it was this, or prison. I'm so glad he is saved, but it's more understandable than miraculous-any animal avoids a cage.
