excellent. His book, 'Power,Sex ,Suicide' -Mitochondria and the Meaning of Life,goes into great detail on this subject. Mitochondria are obviously not just 'batteries'.

Excellent questions to ask, and a very good mind to attempt to syllogise current frontier reseach in order to move forward.

Where do you get 'as your own' from? There's no hint here that any of this is to be taken as his own work, it's just an introduction to the basic ideas.
