  • Dave Berry is a talentless mockney twat.

  • Cuntdown

  • Personally, I prefer Lamarr because his cynical/bitter nature of the 'only sane man around' felt real, and incredibly natural. Simon seemed to force himself for the camera, to get attention. You can see his enjoyment having his ego massaged each time. Lamarr was someone going through, what he considered, mundane surrounding stupidity, and did what he could to get himself through it. He wasn't acting to get his ego massaged by the media/viewers. He just happened to be fucking hilarious.

  • this is the internet

  • @SmartStr33t aint tv supposed to be dead or summit?

  • I heard Simon Amstell's knowledge of music was actually encylopedic, I suspect he played dumb a lot of the time on the show. He may have been pretending to be clueless in order to play up that nerdy, retiring, awkward yet loveable type of character. Also, let's face it, a lot of those guests were here in an instant - gone in a flash.

  • The King Arthur Sky ad has terrible accents.

  • im pretty sure No1 Appeared on Would i Lie to you. She was the mystery guest for Mr " I dont Believe it" as his dance partner on a video 'let dance'. Anybody else think its the same person?

  • Preston needs to take a leaf out of Dave Berry's book!

  • Anyone watching real stories? Haha

  • MARK IS AWFUL!!! SIMON ALL THE WAY!! X

  • @beckiangel2010 simon was awfull atleast contestents did not leave when lamarr was host simon took it 2 far ask preston

  • @AJwalker99 simon did sometimes take things too far... but preston was a little bitch about it. Even Jermaine Jackson didn't walk out, and Simon took it way too far that time. It was painful to watch that episode.

  • @StrOcc you do have a point there. I just think lemar was way better

  • @AJwalker99 i think both are good... Simon took things too far sometimes, but he also had his moments of pure gold.

  • @StrOcc I have to agree they were some moments

  • I miss Lemarr :/

  • Countdwn?

    Ah, Bill's a quick bugger, aye :)

  • Yay Isaac Hanson :D

  • Ive seen #1 before. I can't remember where though.

  • was it the last time you watched this clip?

  • @MrLazyEyes Would i lie to you is where i remember her lol

  • Lamar was tops!

  • Bring back Lamarr!!!

  • What a twat.

  • Dave Berry. What a James Blunt.

  • Is that a Hanson brother on Bill's team? :D :D

  • dave berry comes off as a cunt doesn't he

  • im probably gonna make all marks fanboys and girls cry by sayin this but i prefer Simon.. my opinion tho =s hes still good tho

  • I prefer mark, but, i do admit towards the end of his buzzcocks career he hogged the whole show with his jokes and it kind of got annoying.

  • agree with simzima74

  • dave berry = prick!

  • i take it you're younger than 15,'cause that's one daft statement, simon's not bad but not a patch on mark.

  • i take it you must fancy him then!

  • that's not nice... i like both lamarr and amstell though.

but no more amstell... anyone know if never mind the buzzcocks is going to continue at all?

  • countduwn?

    legend haha

  • A mic over the O

    Countdwn!!!

  • Mr Berry esquire!

  • Who was it that they had to recognise?

I mean no. 3's name? I didn't quite catch that.

    Plafga?:O lol.

  • hahahaha, totally, it sounds like a dodgy mexican meal.

  • BrummieAvenger I totally agree, Mark was so wicked quick with his comebacks and had no qualms about calling you on the carpet on certain things. He knew how to stir the pot very well, as well as keeping it quite entertaining which is a feat not easily done.

  • I love Marks laugh after Bill says "Countdoon?"

  • NO WAY, is that the fella from Hanson??

  • 'Yes, let's just stare at ladies!! This isn't the internet, get cracking!!'

This was the golden age of Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Now that Mark and Bill have left it's just a shadow of its former self.

The chemistry they had was fantastic.

  • What's wrong with being pub funny?

Sorry but Lamarr was 20 times more ruthless than Amstell.

While Amstell is just being bitchy, Lamarr had real venom in his put-downs, he was a merciless, unpredictable, sharp-suited anarchist.

Although I'm still a Buzzcocks fan, it now pales in comparison to newer shows like Mock the Week and Qi.

  • Completely agree with you BrummieAvenger!

Simon is funny to watch but when it comes down to it, he is just winding up celebs...

Plus the fact that Mark actually has musical knowledge whereas Simon doesn't really know a lot at all. Given the nature of the show one would expect the host to know a fair bit about music.

Im not slating Amstell but in my opinion Lamarr was far better for the job

  • Thanks, I also loved it when he told jokes about violently killing the people he hated the most.

Mark was darker and more menacing.

  • lol at bills welsh bit =p

  • That one was easy, really. She was almost cracking up laughing the whole time..it HAD to be her.
