  • always kill your catch if u're keeping it. be humane

  • good old coffs coast

  • I can't wait for winter....

  • mullaway rock ;)

    good spot

  • mullaway rock! ;)

    good spot

  • hey is that at woopi

  • @willeybum You are getting warm...........

  • nice haul... do you smoke them or fresh fry

  • @flatbikkie only ever fry, but I know of many who love tailor smoked

  • just a tip, ive always found that if u cast a lure out, mainly a chrome slice or spoon, if u reel it in really fast they seem to get hit by the bigger fish, rather than the school sized ones u were catching there, try it out a few times next time u go tailor fishing, you may be surprised

  • I am using Rapala SXR10. Works really good on taylors and mulloways.

  • @saawan666

I bought one of those in pilchard. it's in the mail. How do you cast it it's only 12 grams??

  • Hey mate, just wondering what type of lure you are using? do you know what brand it is?

  • @austrajack Like I said before, I mainly use old cut-off knife handles, if I use a lure I prefer Raiders, Always fish for tailor on the edges of wash esp. from an off shore bommie or reef. If you can fish the colour change between the deep blue and milky wash water you'll find thats where the tailor like to hunt. Have been having good success lately with hard bodied "swimming" lures.

  • blood bath haha

  • nice

  • what size spinning lure u using ??

  • 50-60grams, just grab some old s/steel butter knives, cut off the blade and attach a treble and you'll be right.

  • hahahaha

    thnx mate, really great idea

  • Wow, you guys a smokin'

  • Good catch, but yeah, snap the neck.

  • where bouts on mid north coast

hope to see you on fishing-general com

    with some more reports

  • Just a tip, after you cut the throat, break the neck, its more humane, fish still bleeds.

  • Thats a valid point and I agree it is more humane, its what the camera-man does!

  • the only good thing about winter

  • nice catch
