Heay Ari you may have heard Eddie changed up the coperia pass from (in this case) your right hand over his right shoulder to your right elbow into his right armpit like twister side control. This is mostly to block the right hand of your opponent from attacking.
I remember watching your new intro when you first put it up looking for feedback. I think it was about 30 secs and most people liked the first 15 secs. I'll watch it even if your intro is 1 min cause you put out good stuff but that seemed to be the agreement. Keep up the good work, thanks for posting so much cool stuff.
I wish they theorized at Gracie's. Not to bash their method of teaching- I wouldn't dare!! But I wish there was room for as much improvising during class.
I totally agree. I mean in the beginning they were all about adapting their style if it wasn't working or if it needed to be change. Now that's it has become so learned they don't seem to want to learn new stuff. This is all opinion coming from a fan of the sport not a practitioner of any martial art.
That's because even the stuff in tenth planet isn't that new. I'm not trying to take away from Eddie, I love his stuff, but I've seen probably 95% of the 'unique' stuff from tenth planet in Judo, especially Kosen.
@chushinryoku Lots of stuff isnt necessarily knew as much as tenth planet has categorized and systematized their usage and their entries and exits. 10th Planet promotes unique positions and techniques that may have been unpopular and show how it can be renewed to catch your opponent off guard.
They use stuff from as u said Judo, as AznInvazn69Theory said Greco Roman, capoeira, collegiate wrestling, sambo, and any others that would be useful...
I love being in half guard because of the submissions you can get off of it

Keith is lights years ahead. He is so technical and for a big guy uses no strength. It was an honor to teach at his school.

I agree with pretty much everyone here. The intro looks awesome, but it may be too long.
The ads are good, especially if they help keeping the vids free, cause thats really good teaching material.
And the ads works, cause I'll be ordering at least 2 hoodies and a t-shirt from meleefightgear within a caouple of weeks/months

Roger That...I will do that from now on. Appreciate the feed back!

this idea is good. that way u can keep the ads to keep the vids free, but people wont complain.
omfgwhale 2 years ago
These are free vids. I don't see a problem with watching 10-15 seconds of who pays to put these up.

you can also see it in greco-roman. thats why eddie considers the 10th planet system as "Greco-Roman jujitsu"
