@Lubbylove89 Hahaha Yeah. We have an interviewer like that here in Brasil. Always cutting the guest. I know the feeling. But I also feel that the guys kidd a lot to not go profound on some subjects. So, they're not telling it all anyway.
@JulyN78 They're kidding a lot because they know what a joke this interviewer is lol nice to know that there's more like Larry King out there though haha
@Lubbylove89 Oprah should interview them... Hahaha I bet she would let them talk more (and do some interesting questions too). I do like Larry. Most of the time he is a cool interviewer... He might have been over excited about who were the guests. You don't see two music history makers everyday in your life... Even being Larry...
That arrogent douche-bag! He's asking questions about the loss of two of their best freinds as if it just happens and it's no big deal! And another thing, YOU'RE TALKING TO TWO BEATLES!!! How is he so calm? I mean I know you've met a lot of celebrities but these are two of THE BEATLES!!!! Get it together man!
Oh cmon.. Larry sucks at interviewing here, but still don't ask him to be dead.. Even if it's a joke (which I assume), it isn't funny... But the Beatles are probably the best thing that has happened to me in my short life...
my god Larry King is a douche he don't let them speak and makes stupid questions but they answer cleverly XD XDit made me laugh there's a lot of friendship there =) long live to Paul and Ringo =)
can I say that this is the worst interviewer ever? How can you suggest that people like Paul and Ringo don't need to keep making music because of the money they have... that's so lame.. they are beatles!!
In part 3 Paul talks about George dying and how he had known him since they were kids.
I listened to The Beatles and watched their movies and saw their tv appearances from as early as I can remember and feel like I have known them since I was a kid too, through their music, and love it and them to this day.
Love ya guys and thank you for all the joy you brought to the human race by doing what you love to do. St John and St George, look over us and bless us.
"It is currently rough...but I don't talk about it and that helps" I might as well purloin Paul's words and employ them to the task of speaking for myself
This reporter, though I've not heard much of him, strikes me as extremely arrogant and tactless - he interrupts them and makes it extremely apparent that all he really cares about is getting viewers.
I LOVE the Beatles and I admire Paul and Ringo all the more for bearing with Larry King and still managing, without any loss of dignity on their side, to give awesome answers and retorts to everything Larry says....
I love how Paul and Ringo finally take over the show kinda and just goof goof giving silly answers to dumb Larry. If John was there he woulda made some nasty comments, and George woulda made some funny comments
I love how even when they're technically talking with Larry, they're really just in their own world talking to each other. IMO, you can tell they still love each other and each other's company. They still have joys and laughs and emotions together. They couldn't give two shits about Larry. They are just using him to relieve great moments--and rightly so! Larry should have just shut it and let them ramble on together. And stop being a prick.
I´m 40 years old, wasn´t born on their time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,toooooooooo bad, I´m still single couse I´ve been in love with Paul since I was 8, I love them so much, cry every time I see them, this interview is fantastic, they still are what they were..........."funny, cleaver, natural intelligents, just love them, the 4 of them!!!! Their love song were the way they all should be, and then they went political oriented, just shows they care about the world,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they are GODS!!!!!
On the surface the world changes but underneath and behind the scenes it hasnt changed since the first notes were played or sang. I like the Beatles music, but to say they changed the world does not make sense to me. They did show us what is possible if you get creative with music.
@Sixalienasa That's their legacy. They were the first rock and roll band to re-invent themselves. Successful rock bands before the Beatles would stick with the formula that made them successful. The Beatles, because they were SO successful, called their own shots, and decided to make the music that they wanted to make, not the music that people expected them to make. That's what was new with the Beatles, that spirit of creativity and innovation, and it's a spirit that's unique to the Beatles
@rollo131 I think that if you examine the Beatles music you will see that formula there too. They were good, but they still had a formula. Look at their stuff since the breakup, its very run of the mill.
Its so funny and enjoyable to listen to Ringo be as clever as ever in interviews, just as he was the clever color in all the old Beatles interviews. And better yet to see how that gel that made them The Beatles still exist. I only wish I could have seen them play as The Beatles just once, to be part of Beatlemania-- PS i like how Beatlemania is recognized as a word by Firefox and not auto-corrected haha
PAUL MCCARTNEY IS NOT DEAD! Recently, he has been touring all around the world-and I'm pretty sure that if he was dead, it wasn't a zombie playing those songs!
I'm amazed at how calm they are when talking about how they changed the world. How often does anybody do that? They still seem shocked by it; you'd think they'd be bored or tired of talking about it after 40 plus years, but they still seem surprised at what the Beatles accomplished. Pretty humbling. Oh yeah, and they both look friggin' great for their age.
Wow, how gorgeous is Paul here? I love seeing him with Ringo almost as much as I loved seeing him with John. You can really tell how close the two of them still are after all this time. They both look so youthful and beautiful, and if you ask me Ringo is looking better than ever.
Two class acts right there... I hope they never stop putting out music.
I was laughing oneself into fits...when my friend call me from Armenia & said..Send me last album of Paul please, I MUST have it..he plays on....BALALAIKA...! SO GREAT.!!
p.s.Memory Almost full..is THE ALBUM... full of MASTERPIECES !
Jesus Christ, in the beginning Paul does the Dance Tonight thing perfectly. I thought they'd autotuned his voice for that hard note at the end but I guess not because he just fucking nailed it.
He's not a dick he's just old and has no idea where he is or who he's talking to. Like when he was talking to Jerry Seinfeld and thought that his show got canceled or in this interview when he addresses Ringo as George by accident. Then he hits Paul McCartney with a rolled up pile of papers and I thought "Damn, Larry's got some balls to do that to Paul McCartney. . . or he doesn't know what the fuck is happening."
Although the end was quite touching and Larry King really doesn't get emotional at all. And his comments were emotional and came from the soul. Legendary interview no matter what.
lol the way Paul and Ringo are in this part they were acting like teenagers again. Don't see Paul chuckle like that in public unless its with Ringo lol
Larry's an old fogey who doesn't know how to leave well-enough alone. Honestly, though, who COULD properly interview The Beatles without sounding like an idiot, ya know? Everything is going to sound trite and stupid compared to their greatness. That's no excuse for Larry, though. It's just almost like The Beatles are such a great entity that it's almost a mistake to try and delve into the beautiful mystique of it all. Paul and Ringo always handle the stupid questions with humor :)
Thanks man.The most spectacular thing about the beatles (for me) is that they never stop suprising me.I'm very sorry that paul didn't come to romania. He was in Ucraine in 2008 (close enogh).
The Beatles are without a doubt the best band in the world! If aliens are coming/or have already visited us its just cause they wanna listen to a little of the Beatles ^^
They could be bitter.. A load of popular stars are mean, angry and feed up with all they have...But, these two are content to the point they can enjoy life and get over what others see as un-climb-a-ble mountains.... As the "Rundgren and Utopia" sang on "Deface The Music"....Life goes on....Life goes on!
The Beatles are far beyond any other musician in the planet. They know they are masters but instead of complaining or bragging about it, they just sit back and enjoy life, just like you say. Cheers!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Ringo plays all the dumpy casinos outside of Vegas. Only Macca can play the MGM three night in a row. They sold out folks. They love money and more money. Yoko we can't wait to see John's bloody clothes on exhibit. You are a real goofball.
Yeah you can definitely tell Paul tries to avoid his feelings. People think he's a jerk when he doesn't show enough emotion, especially when it comes to the death of John and even Linda, but everybody has their own way of coping.. and I know I wouldn't feel comfortable talking about sensitive topics on camera either...
PM is a very genuine person, and the LIFE has just put him out of focus.
P had to be in touch with J to create the music, but Geo was also in that circle, and R mentions how he uped the beat and Downed the beat..as needed always staying out of the way..They were the perfect band at the right time, God Bless them!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that. He's always the one who tries to put on the brave, happy face. But then again, putting up with Larry King's totally uncalled-for personal questions on live television probably didn't help.
After watching this, I don't think Larry King knows how to communicate with people.
I mean, in the last part, Paul was talking about his last visit to George, and Larry just cut him off. Like, these people who you are talking to went through a lo,t they're probably torn up inside. You don't just cut them off.
So true Ringo, Paul really IS the most melodic bass player on the planet. It's almost like his bass is singing a second melody under the actual melody. He may not be technically astonishing, but he's still my favourite bassist ever. I used to be able to write bass lines like his, now I've been overtaken by trying to be inovative and/or fast, McCartney's genius is in his simplicity!
We'll be right back with the widows and the living Beatles. Well spoken jack-ass....I thought perhaps you would bring the bodies of the dead Beatles on stage.
I totally agree with you. Larry is popular. But the beatles sold more than 500 million copies and they changed the modern music. They're legendary. Popular vs Legendary. hahaha
There are a couple of glimpses and actions here and its '64 again. :) I think it's amazing how they've maintained this relationship, that they are still so comfortable with one another. It just goes to show how strong the bonds between them, all four of them, must have been.
hmm i know larry king is a big guy in this sort of business, but this is unfortunately the first time i see him doing his job and, shit, he's making a fool out of himself. (1:15-2:01)
We'll be right back with the widows and the living, like what the f*** Larry?!

Paul looks like he's been through a lot of stress since the loss of Linda.
I hope Heather Mills skis, with her one skinny leg, into a tree and dies! Demon BITCH! Don't fuck with Paul!

They could be bitter.. A load of popular stars are mean, angry and feed up with all they have...But, these two are content to the point they can enjoy life and get over what others see as un-climb-a-ble mountains.... As the "Rundgren and Utopia" sang on "Deface The Music"....Life goes on....Life goes on!
skippertthomas 2 years ago
The Beatles are far beyond any other musician in the planet. They know they are masters but instead of complaining or bragging about it, they just sit back and enjoy life, just like you say. Cheers!

i love ringo "...well reverse that you don't need to do it either" great for Ringo to show that he never sold out and for proving it right there.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Ringo plays all the dumpy casinos outside of Vegas. Only Macca can play the MGM three night in a row. They sold out folks. They love money and more money. Yoko we can't wait to see John's bloody clothes on exhibit. You are a real goofball.

Chris Farley did a much better interview on SNL with Paul than Larry King ever could.

LOL, you know, sadly, you are SO right.
"Hey....um....do you remember when you were in the Beatles?"
"Do you remember when you said, 'and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make?'.......THAT WAS AWESOME."

LOL!!!
bunnygurl719 2 years ago
Yeah you can definitely tell Paul tries to avoid his feelings. People think he's a jerk when he doesn't show enough emotion, especially when it comes to the death of John and even Linda, but everybody has their own way of coping.. and I know I wouldn't feel comfortable talking about sensitive topics on camera either...
THE BEATLES <3... RIP John and George
musicxisxlife02 2 years ago 9
PM is a very genuine person, and the LIFE has just put him out of focus.
P had to be in touch with J to create the music, but Geo was also in that circle, and R mentions how he uped the beat and Downed the beat..as needed always staying out of the way..They were the perfect band at the right time, God Bless them!!
MatthieuB23 2 years ago 5
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that. He's always the one who tries to put on the brave, happy face. But then again, putting up with Larry King's totally uncalled-for personal questions on live television probably didn't help.

Exactly.

Larry King is so subtle. How ya doin' after the disastrous few years,Paul? Subtle.
kencoa 3 years ago 2

Jaco352 3 years ago 2
Yeah, even Lennon complimented Paul on his bass playing sometime in the 70s.
The best!

Here's a great Larry King line-
We'll be right back with the widows and the living Beatles. Well spoken jack-ass....I thought perhaps you would bring the bodies of the dead Beatles on stage.
What the F@ck?

If this tells me anything its this-
LARRY KING SUCKS!
And the Beatles care and cared for each other deeply. They just don't (didn't) show it often.
Which is what makes this interview so special.
and
LARRY KING SUCKS!

"Can i stroke you now?" hahaah-- LOVE paulie!-- and i just think Ringo looks so cool here- incredible actually, for his age...
and 5:34 is such a bitchy interruption!! my god, Larry, i know you're also famous- but beside 2 Beatles you are smaller than a germ.
bickie22 3 years ago 9
I totally agree with you. Larry is popular. But the beatles sold more than 500 million copies and they changed the modern music. They're legendary. Popular vs Legendary. hahaha

There are a couple of glimpses and actions here and its '64 again. :) I think it's amazing how they've maintained this relationship, that they are still so comfortable with one another. It just goes to show how strong the bonds between them, all four of them, must have been.

hmm i know larry king is a big guy in this sort of business, but this is unfortunately the first time i see him doing his job and, shit, he's making a fool out of himself. (1:15-2:01)
