  • ..GOT A LOT OF LOVE BETWEEN US.... damn right!! Only one Frankie Valli!

  • Who has/had the greater range: Frankie Valli, Lou Christie, or Del Shannon?

  • @Alikah1 frankie valli

  • @Alikah1 toughy!!!!!!!

  • I all\so grew up with The Four Seasons. They got me through The heartaches of losing boyfriends The pain of War..etc....But, They were always there to share My joys of growing up, making new friends, slumber partys and Just downright fun of being a teenager in the 60s...Thanks Frankie...

  • My wife and I saw him three weeks ago in Oklahoma- met him backstage and got our pic taken with him- what a thrill and a super nice person. (BTW his falsetto was alive and well.)

  • Sixties music mixed with early eighties clothes, and hair..I love it:)

  • His falsetto voice was gone in 1982?

  • @mrfunnyman99 The voice wasn't gone, but in the mid 1970's he lost most of his hearing to otosclerosis. When you lose hearing, it is normally from the top down, so staying on pitch in the upper register would have been a problem. Most of the hearing loss was reversed through three surgeries to remove the abnormal bone growth.

  • @steelblue58 Oh ok , didn't know that.Thanks you.

  • I've seen the Jersey Boys and Midtown Men knock-offs, and while they were fun and enjoyable, I couldn't help think that no one can match Frankie Valli's voice on these great songs.

  • @wwleslie Yeah That's what my family says. They grew up with him

  • Fucking awesome,

  • yes...saw the original cast of jersey boys

  • Wigan athletic division two song <3

  • where is his falsetto??????????

  • @ricosolo56 Good question. I grew up with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, but he is 76, and the falsetto may have left. Could it be???? It's not the same song without it.

  • bravo!

  • Im 16 and i love this song. Great song what more can i tell ya.

  • @WhoButRyan3 - Complete garbage, no high notes.

  • my favorite jersey boys song...then Big Man in Town, then Walk like a Man

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

  • Let's Hang On, great song and video. thumbs up!

  • what an amazing voice from a truly talented song writer. One of his best (although for me Beggin' just pips this.

  • When i was a teenager i grew up blasting the stereo with this song and singin to it as i cleaned the house..LOL! Awh man~ this song!

  • Frankie valli is the best thats real music, long live the old music.

  • I am 21 years old and grew up on music like Frankie Valli and Jay Black. I think it is likely due to my father being a kid from the Bronx. Whatever the case, I know a lot of young people can relate to my experiences driving in the car with my dad listening to these amazing songs at the age of 5.

My message is this... influence your friends to listen to this stuff. It is the only way it can survive! They know the tunes. They just need to understand the importance of the artist as well!

  • @laxty2469 Totally man. I am 27 and I grew up as well. My dad used to rock me to sleep with those songs. I remember going to the beach listening to them.

  • Thank you for posting this!!

  • Jersey Boys was an Amazing SHOW!! Love Frankie and the 4 Seasons......since I first them....as a youngster!!! and then...Who Loves you..... in college...... was another one.....! Love it

  • I was cleaning my house just now and for some random reason this song came into my head and I had to listen to it ... bizarre since Iam only 22 lol

  • I think it was the Summer of 1967 that by accident got to see them Atlantic City Steel Pier. They were pretty good live. By that time, I switched over to the Doors and other cool bands. But the Four Seasons and the Beach Boys were the best talent we had to listen to (after Buddy Holly died?) before the Beatles and rest of the British Invasion bands came to North America. I like the vinyl original "Let's Hang On" much better than this.

  • His greatest performance.

  • His greatest performance.

  • Did a lot of dancing to this song in 8th grade. This was the sound of the times and it was wonderful then and remains so now!

  • He looks just like the actor who was on the Sopranos.

  • @utahaztec

    He was on the Sopranos

  • @annsmovie4u

I know, It was my favorite show. I was busting balls.

  • love how he holds the note in the beginning

  • Thank you GYPSYWOMANUK for posting this :)

  • Go see the Jersey Boys!! Its just Brilliant!!!

  • Go see the Jersey Boys!!! Its brilliant!!!

  • I saw them many years ago in London, and without Frankie Vallis' voice being double tracked they put on a lousy performance.

I still think their magic was in the recording studio. along with so many recording artistes, where imperfections are edited out in the mixing. At least they did sing live, unlike so many singers today who mime all the time on stage because they have no vocal talent.

This group made some great records, especially Rag Doll

  • BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love love love love the four seasons. love love love love love love love love love love love love love love LOVEE frankie valli more!!! I AM A TOTAL VALLI GIRL!!!

  • this song is so for me now =(

  • first saw him on a double bill with Jay and the Americans. This was about 40 years ago and i have been a huge fan every since.

  • I saw Frankie Valli and the Four Seaons when I was 11 years old in 1968 at West Point, New York and it was a fabulous show!

  • my chorus is singing this lol

  • Simply AWESOME!!

  • Kind of funny. This was added the day Jersey Boys won the Tony Award for Best Musical.

Seeing him in a few weeks. Can't wait!

  • I saw him 2 weeks ago, at the Soboba Casino Arena in San Jacinto, CA. It was an open place, which meant no A/C with a temp of 100 degrees. He perform beautifully, he looks great, and if anything he was more in touch with his fans, he was sweting a lot, but we corrected it with his hand, and at the end of the show, when everyone was giving him a standing ovation, took his ear plug. You know, it drove the fans crazy, because we knew he was our Frankie. 72 and still looks like a very sexy italian.

  • I Saw Him, 1 week ago. What was what a news paper critic said he had? Grandfatherly figure? HA! The man looks better that ever, his voice is just as good as when he was 30, falsetto and all. I've been his fan for 44 years (I,m 57)an everyday I like him more.

    Love you Frankie!

  • Saw him last summer. HE STILL HAS THE VOICE!

  • Saw him a week ago! He's fantastic!

  • What a rocking great band backing him... High-energy the whole way and looking like they're just having fun!

Does anyone know if a copy of this entire concert is available anywhere?

  • At one time, I had a video of this concert, but don't know where it is anymore. I do have a concert tape from around 1992 I believe, similar to this one. I'm pretty sure it's available again due to the popularity of Jersey Boys on DVD.

  • the only one I've been able to get is a concert in Atlantic City from 1992.

It doesn't matter the age. He's a hot Italian.

  • What a great version! OK his vocals aren't as technically precise as on the record, but then look at him! He's much more occupied with shaking the hands of his fans, it's clearly the last song of the night so his voice is probably tired (mind you, that long "taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakes" note at the beginning is awesome). When he steps away from the fans his voice improves. Even with the piercing early 80s synths, I probably prefer this to the original. I like the emotion, energy and the new sections:-)

  • waw stil the same

  • I just saw Frankie in concert a few days ago, and let the naysayers burn, he was hitting the high notes like he was in his 20s. He put on an unbelievable show, and I strongly urge everyone to go if he comes to town... it was the best night of my life.

  • I liked this video and vocals. Frankie adds different variety to the songs he sings. This is a different arrangement and has nothing to do with whether he can hit the high notes or not. His voice is an instrument in itself.

  • awesome video

  • People sound different at different stages of their life, the early 60's will NEVER be recreated, I still think they sound great here. Different yes but still good.

  • It was good!

  • Thats Jerry Corbetta on keyboards (1:42), lead singer for Sugerloaf (Green eyed lady,Dont call us will call you).

  • i know him in person

  • Truth be known, he gave up most high notes and made sure that he had guitarist Larry Lingle hitting most of them at this stage of his career. Lingle had a falsetto voice that covered most of the old songs.

  • He also developed an ear problem in the late 70s that interfered with him being able to tell if he was on pitch in his falsetto, which was a big part of why he didn't hit the high notes in the 70s and 80's. He had it corrected, so he's singing falsetto again these days. It makes me happy. =]

  • you guys are fucking idiots he sounds great

  • I think he sounds great here...updated a bit and I love it!

  • Right you are!!! This is very embarrassing. Frankie Valli is just cashing in on the old Four Seasons songs. I saw real group : Valli, Gaudio, Long and DeVito in '67 , the show I saw so different, it was more like the Beatles, Stones or classic Beach Boys concert a real 1960s rock and rock concert. This is just a sad embarrassment! Mr. Valli should retire with some class or better yet reunite with the other "real" Four Seasons andgive the fans the concert they really want!

  • the key element missing from his performance is the falsetto...he just couldn't hit the high notes anymore, at least in this video. And that's what most fans miss. Without it, he sounds quite ordinary.

  • this is quite pathetic. i saw him in concert last year and he sounded incredible compaired to this. the show i saw was worth the expensive price i paid for it. his early 80's shit wasnt good. then got a better and now im anxiously awainting to hear his new album.

  • Im not a retard and yeah I agree that he does sound terrible here. Just wanted to make the point that they have made a great contribution to music and will always be loved by music lovers. great compared to alot of the garbage these days

  • Definitely.

  • LOl you get these idiots throughout this site. He doesnt realise that the four seasons are legends in music and will never be forgotten unlike his radiculous immature comments.:D

  • Oh, I definitely realize how great the four seasons are. I have EVERY ONE of their songs in my collection. I know about all of the members.

What I'm saying is: listen to this song! He sounds terrible! Are you deaf? Don't try to tell me he sounds good singing there! Holy shit you are an R-Tard if you think he sounds good like that...

  • Im not a retard and yeah I agree that he does sound terrible here. Just wanted to make the point that they have made a great contribution to music and will always be loved by music lovers. great compared to alot of the garbage these days

  • What was unwise about what I said? I made an observation on how he has completely lost all of his talent? Prove me wrong.

  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just happen to totally disagree with your's, that's all! I think this is a great rendition of the hit he and the Seasons had two decades prior to this performance.

  • No, it is not a great rendition. I honestly felt sorry for him as he sang like that. It is embarrassing.

  • Man he can't even sing in this video. He just kind of talks it out and claps a lot.

  • You haven't a clue. Word of advice . . .

It is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are an idiot: that to open it and prove them right.

  • Nice clip ... Valli has had more hits than people realize ... this has been a terrific year for him ,given the Broadway show and all ...
