I'm pretty sure that there were no eight foot tall, monstrously strong mutants in that war, or a tree of corpses, and Leonidas wasn't the spartan king to kick a Persian emissary into a pit, and he wasn't the only king of Sparta at the time. Yes the Battle of Thermoply was real, however there were also about 1700 greeks who also stayed behind with the 300 Spartans. The Spartans were the warriors who held everything together. 300 the movie is only centered on the Spartans.

Seen CoN was on telly this Chirstmas it was "good", since I love fantasy mostly I consider them to be good. The song The Battle is incredible, lots of thanks to Harry Gregson-Williams.

300 was just "great", this unique style they used was unseen and it worked really well. I like the way Spartans think too. Never surrender, determination, devotion, honesty etc.

300 is based on a graphic novel which is based on a historic battle. However, the author of the novel made numerous changes such as making the immortals monster-like. These changes are mostly fnatasty-like, as it is nearly impossible to believe that Persians were grafting swords onto people's hands or anything like that, even though the battle itself was real.
