Try using groundnut oil for the steak, dont pick it up and put it down only turn it once, season it 2 mins before u cook it dont leave it any longer and just after you've turned it put a knob of butter in the pan and baste the steak
Too rare for me in the center and I actually prefer Steak with a little marbling (fat) in it. I would never put Olive Oil on a great Steak...than again I would go for the Red Wine and nice Cutlery. Foodsnob perhaps? HaHa Naw......everyone has different taste. Thats what makes the world interesting!
The salt lowers the freezing temperature of the water below 0*C. So it makes the water temperarure below freezing. Water conducts heet/cold faster than air so freezing water cools faster than freezing air (read frige).

the salt makes the melting point of ice lower thus when the ice melts the water the ice releases would be frozen if it didn't have the salt.
