Do you have any recommended resources to fill in some of the blanks on how the mass media works? You hae the main points, but to help tie things together and create long-term memory, I find I need more details. For example, are people today less aware of real investigation and real information entails? Why do people settle for basic stories on their local T.V. stations? Does real investigation in most cases in the context of T.V. news, just not prove as profitable?

The further problem is people reality shop to news media that confirm their "views" of the world. If people are going to really question media they also have to closely examine their own personal bias's and motivated reasoning behind why they will trust one story and dismiss another.

I'm not an expert on this one, but since you asked - I think a 911 conspiracy is unlikely. Noam Chomsky has a good vid on some general reasons. Also from an engineering standpoint I think most of the conspiracy tower collapse claims are nonsense. Having said that, I'm really not an expert on all the 911 theories so what do I know... I never delved into it because I prefer to focus on problems you can adapt to. If aliens or Illuminati run the world I don't see a solution :)
