Wow, two data points... there are at least twenty different ways that this could be tested to determine the if the 'eyelights' are actually effective...
I imagine stretching out the muscles doing those 3 or 4 squats helped her attain the what, 2 cm additional height? That was hardly a conclusive example, taking a random girl and having her hop twice.
gwildar200, just so you know....activation of a muscle to achieve an action such as a squat doesn't strech it out. In fact, these actions of muscle activity require the muscle to shorten. So according to your proposal, she should have seen a decrease in jumping height. The purpose of the eyelights are to activate certain areas of the brain that are not functioning optimally (called hemisphericity) The facilitated hemispheric brain will then regulate muscle activation and increase performance!!
Or i was pointing out that showing one person jump twice and saying "look it worked" is hardly evidence that the lazer did anything at all. There are variations in jumping heights for any person, noone will be jumping the same height constantly. And when i mentioned muscles, i imagine tendons would have been a better word, but either way squatting does stretch internal mechanisms, as well as warming up an area through movement.
Actually, recent research has shown that static stretching(and to possibly include these internal mechanisms you speak of...)and "warming up" an area has no beneficial increase on athletic performance. In fact, they have shown that they are more prone to injury. Yes, there are variations on jumping height each time. But the eyelights work to stimulate the inhibited sensorimotor cortex on the hemispheric side which will in turn control the motor output to the muscle = inc. athletic performance
RIGHT...Anyway if the muscles shorten or stretch, 2cm lower or higher...if common sense applies you see this example is...hack-off bullshit made up for pulling money out of people!
There are no scientific 'facts'. Science is not about facts, but about theories, which are either accepted or rejected on the basis of rigorous testing. This testing takes, in broad terms, the form of an attempt to falsify the theory, to demonstrate that it is NOT true. If the theory passes the test it is accepted, but only ever provisionally. Science is a methodology, not a 'body of knowledge'. And it is built in to this methodology that the theories it generates will, over time, change.
Having said that I should say that I am a Buddhist, and accept all sorts of stuff which most scientifically-minded people would regard as completely off the wall. It's just that something about this guy strikes me as very dodgy.
Science in general is "dubious". What was considered to be "fact" one hundred years ago (ie. smoking aids in digestion and therefore should be recommended as therapy) has now been proven as false. Science never really lingers, and scientific "fact" is always changing. That is the beauty of it. Always expanding and always changing.
OMG, i just watched the rest of this video while posting the first response. These TECHNIQUES do work, you just need to work on them. I expected to see a dramatic improvement in vert leap, not 5mm. you can have 5mm differences between unassisted, repetitive jumps, in fact you could probably expect up to 2 inches just by changing myotactic reflexes in the body from the FIRST JUMP. clean these videos up.
hey post that flexor withdrawal reflex of the whole body so we can see the hips and see how accurate and sensitive you are when identifying this reflex. how you recorded it, anything could be happening including the fact that you pressed harder on the right leg in the post test. besides, this woman is in better shape than you, you should use a real patient for this type of demonstration.
Nothing happened. Does not look like anytrhing to me

tape a 20 to the wall 6 inches higher than her mark and I bet that makes her jump higher than some LED lights flashing in her eye lol

this is absurd. so if i go stare in the headlights of a car for 3 hours, i guess i should be able to fly

Well, deer do it, and they can jump an 8 foot fence. So it must work.

you certainly can fly, all you would need is a little kineseo tape and spinal decrompression and you could sore through the skies like Captain Marvel

I would very much like to have seen the girl doing her three or four squats.

Unscientific. Very dubious.

You want dubious? Try the medical profession and the constant unnecessary surgeries performed by doctors.

These seem very interesting, I take it the longer you keep them on the more effective? What else could this assist at beyond jumping.
