The intro is pretty cool (Gran Turismo style), must be because its from Japan, they just know how to make racing game videos (and games of course lol). Too bad i never had the opportunity to play it. Fits so good to all the other games back then. Total Drivin, Rally Cross, Test Drive 5, Peak Performance, Tokyo Highway Battle, Le Mans 24hrs and of course Gran Turismo. Good times. 8)

Its a driving simulator, not a crash simulator. Plus i wouldn't know about the invincible cars, I never crash.

If you've never crashed then you haven't played the game long enough or you only drive the slow cars with plenty of grip. If a driving simulator is reputation for a game then it should simulate all physics and damage, that's why it's called a simulator, simulating all the dynamics of driving.

Slow cars? LOL, I have a buick special with 875Kw's-1173Hp that i have to half throttle untill 5th gear, otherwise i waste my tyres. Also a 940Kw's-1260Hp Cadilac Cien. A 770Kw's-1032Hp Nissan 350Z. A 683Kw's-915Hp Chevelle. A 612Kw's-820Hp FPV GT. Thay all waste tyres at full throttle. I crashed the Buick once or twice when i first got it, thats about it.

I think i got 4 golds out of all the licences on GT4 and i dont even have IA yet. I also said i never crash as in "anymore". I didnt say i have never crashed, but if i do crash its never a hard hit or i just spin out on an ice track and run into another car backwards. Also i play in Bonnet view so i cant see anything exept the bonnet. Also i love the old GT's.

If you have tried Grand Prix Legends or Rally Trophy on PC, these are REAL simulators with damage modelling, I'm sure you'll like it.

i've played Rfactor, GTR, GTR Evolution, forza 1, forza 2, all of the gran turismo's, GRiD(so-so), Race 07, iRacing(very much a sim).

I still prefer gran turismo to many of these games. just because it plays much better than a lot with full simulator, all assists off, and a logitech g25. only rFactor and iRacing get up there in terms of simulation with gran turismo. forza is just crap.

Forza is not a sim IMO. iRacing made by the peeps from Papy is the same one who also made GPL, hence the quality. However Simbin with GTR, GTR Evo is also good. My only problem with Gran Turismo besides the damage is the framerate doesn't accelerate. Once you reach a certain speed whether 40mph or 150mph it's the same. Do you have GT Legends?

it only looks the same in terms of texture size and repeating and what would be the refresh rate and output framerate of the system. thats mostly due to the limitation of the system hardware. having a higher framerate doesnt give you a feel of speed. the feel of speed comes from the course size and vehicle size. if you're doing 180mph and the course is sized right, and can you please rephrase that first statement. it doesn't sound right.

You mentioned Forza, in my opinion it didn't feel like a sim. The Simbin games give a progressive framerate and for me that gives it a sense of speed more than size of track & car. There are long & wide straightaways tracks in Gran Turismo 3 for example and I just don't feel the rush. In GT I sometimes don't know if I will understeer approaching a corner unless I look at the speedo. Take GTR for example, (you've played this) braking and cornering smoothly is intuitive w/o looking at speedo.

Of all the tracks in this game, C.P. Mine Circuit is the only race course that's defunct today. Mine was actually a tough track. Japan does have some tough race tracks. Maybe not European tough, but surely not very easy to leay down fast laps. Sugo is surely a fun course to race. Sometimes (I emphasise SOMETIMES), I confuse Sugo's layout for Okayama (formerly T.I. Circuit Aida). This is still a cool video even since adding this to my Little-Known or Forgotten Racing/Driving Games playlist.

With its stock settings, the handling is not so good (as you can see in the vid) tires' spin a lot, touchy steering, etc. However I'd only imagine if I can understand Japanese, there's a lot to tune (also in the vid) and it will most likely handle like a dream ^_^
