The LS1/T56 is about the same weight as a 13BT/tranny, and LIGHTER then a 20B/tranny... the only really difference is a little more weight distribution towards the front end but not much...its like this chassi and engine were made for each other...also check out the torque curve on an ls1 it nearly flat, truely is an amazing motor from GM, keep an eye out for FD's with LS2, LS6 and LS7 motors this trend is takin off as more LS series engines are becomin available
uhh he's TRYING to slide... and becauses of the aluminum block and where it sits in the engine bay, the car still retains near 50/50 front/rear weight ratio.
How so? That driver is getting the rear around the curves by flooring it, but the car is PLOWING before he can get the rear around. I'm pretty sure the extra weight of that LS1 has something to do with that. Even the NA FC swings around quicker than this car. No faint motion doesn't help in bringin that rear around either, but at 23 and 38 seconds, that car plows around the cone.
btw this is not me, i drive the sc300 :)
