Well it was "greater musicality" because Can performs with a band. Kanye rendition is a hip hop version. I don't expect ANYONE to perform this better then Can does. Yes, it's a rendition. Some artists do outright covers that are performed word-for-word exactly like the original. (even Kanye himself has been covered by other artists)
