The Wonderful World of Disney Parade

Actually the float was very large and long and called the Princess Staircase and it ran from the begining of the parade to about right before the 1999 holiday season. This float was massive in size and has amazing detail, but suffered countless mechanical problems. This led to its retirement, but also this float was involved in an accident that happened backstage with a performer of the float. The performers in front of the Cinderella float used to dance on this actuall float.

The Princess Float entered the paradeline up in June of that year.

It was taken out of the parade line up in July 2001 after an accident with a Dutch guest.

Was this the very first The Wonderful World of Disney Parade

From my research...it debuted in March 1998.  I filmed this in July. Research indicates there should have been a PRINCESS float in the parade, however it appears to have been missing on the day this was filmed. I am uncertain IF this float actually existed this early in the parade's life.
