  • i love twilight :)

  • @chrisibaeck That's a shame.

  • I've always loved this song, and frankly yeah, ocean's eleven, or twelve have this amazing song at the end, and well, yes, it's an okay action flick, but this movie reminded me that song. Does it matter really where we came from? Even if it's Twilight? We came to listen to an amazing song. Each and everyone's journey is his own to keep and treasure.

  • This is the reason of why im going to buy an steinway piano !!

  • This reminds me of the time when I robbed the Bellagio with 10 of my friends.

  • @innnernetz

EYE C WUT U DID THAR!

  • This is suck a wonderful piece of music. My mother loved classical music and played it while I was young and growing up. It now makes me cry remembering her. Hello, Mom! I Love and Miss You so much.

  • 16 people dont know what real music is.............what a shame

  • twilight a big bullshit !

  • WHY IS THERE TWILIGHT IN THE TAGS

  • This song always makes me think of a sunrise or spring. Basically, it reminds me of anything that opens up!

  • Quite simply the most elegant & beautiful piece of music ever composed.

  • Love this song it's so calming listen to it almost every night to go to sleep beautiful music

  • Steinway & sons=)..beautiful learning it now..its just amazing!!

  • @theEgyptianWonder

    Yeah it does

  • Ever seen the movie Up?

Doens't this beautiful song makes you think of that?

  • magnificent

  • That's quite a heavy interpretation

  • Best performance ever !!!

  • Better*

  • Betterave version i heard at the moment.

  • the neurons in my brain resonate to the music, so my mind is calm like the music

  • @mojojoyo If your neurons were resonating, I can assure you that the effect would be much the opposite of calming.

  • Beautiful! You play so gracefully. Well done.

  • Beautiful. One of the most stirring renditions.

  • Ativan vs. Debussypan, Debussypan without secondary effects.

  • As far as "notes" go this song is so easy - but to get the feeling right...takes more than a life time.

  • Existem alguns momento na vida, que não precisamos de palavras para explicar o que sentimos.

  • this song has to open everery human heart

  • So beautiful, can´t imagine people don´t like it!

  • 15 people are the biggest douchebags ive ever seen!

  • his hands move like water.. so fluid and smooth

  • This song is from Twilight!

  • @IMSVampire101 NO. JUST NO.

  • @APerson1417 It is..

  • @IMSVampire101 Yes, the piece happens to be used in Twilight, but it long pre-dates that film. If that's all you can respond to it, then you really shouldn't be commenting. Or living.

  • @APerson1417 I shouldn't be living? Pfft. If you don't like Twilight, why did you even respond to my comment? I was just saying what I thought about it. No need to be all serious. Jesus.. who's wasting their time now? -.-

  • @IMSVampire101 It's because I don't like Twilight that I responded to your comment (obviously), since I don't want to see ridiculous, vampire-related comments from morons such as yourself on this video. I found myself irritated by your stupidity and shallow character to the extent that I wanted to reply and make you think twice before you spread your ignorance over the world. If you were to take some lesson from what I said (stop making idiotic comments) then it wouldn't be a waste of time.

  • @APerson1417 Then keep your opinion to yourself. Do you see anyone else responding to my comment? NO. Because they actually know how to mind they're own buisness! So shut up and find something else to do. Because i'm sick of arguing over something you don't like. I like Twilight. You don't. BIG DEAL. I'm done with this coversation. -.-

  • @IMSVampire101 the point is not (or should not be) that you like twilight and he doesnt rather that you said this song is from twilight and this sentence is totally wrong: like the other guy said it is used in this movie but debussy wrote this masterpiece much earlyer, thats the point ;)

  • @TheNarutoflo Okay..? I don't really care when it was made. My friend was just gonna do this song for a talent show, and she wanted me to watch it. Soo, I just wanted to tell what I first thought of it..

  • @IMSVampire101 Claude Debussy doit se retourner dans sa tombe en entendant des "redneck" associer son nom à un film de vampires.

and it's just sad to notice that the best opportunity that have be given to such a great artist and an original romantic, to reveal his music to the world, is some big audience, low quality movie.

  • @TongHuy lol could not agree more.

  • @TongHuy Je partage totalement le même avis que toi

  • @TongHuy Comments like yours aren't going to help either.

  • *Sniff Sniff* What? I wasn't crying, i have bad.... Allergies.. *Sniff* :/

  • one of the best ! i like also the interpretation of yakov flier which is excellent

  • Beautiful. Interesting ultrasafe and controling technique, padding the notes twice, ready before striking quite a lot. Shame we cut away from the fingers in the most impressive bit! (2:40)

  • whoever disliked this was blind and when attempting to press the "like" button, they got the dislike button OR they weren't blind and thought "dislike" said "dis i like"

  • @PianoDude1011

    Sigh.

  • @Grizzlism why?

  • @PianoDude1011

ive heard that one before and it confuses me why anyone would parrot it

  • @Grizzlism i know every1 posts it :P

  • Best rendition on youtube.

  • fantastic!!! and a huge ????? at the 14 dislikes. Curious as to what they enjoy if this is displeasing to the ears

  • gentle it is, sweet it is, everything it is

  • This man is amazing, WOW! What amazing skill, so gripping, subtle, gentle even, but strong, firm and unwavering... truly a work of art!

  • So gentle but powerful and moving. One of the best songs ever written in my opinion. This was beautifully done. Debussy was incredible. Thank you for posting this wonderful piece.

  • 好透明的樂聲,真的就像月光一般清澈

  • I've been brought to tears by a song .... im speechless

  • A beautiful performance of one of the most touching pieces ever written.

  • i love this song

  • Did anyone ever see that movie Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray? Remember when he took piano lessons everyday while living the same day over and over again? This would be the song I would learn and master if that movie's plot happened to me, and I would have mastered it in 1 day :D

  • @peopleintrees Then quit talkin shit and do it! Life's too short!

  • this definitely is one of the best song in the world.

  • 4:57 Spiderman theme :D

  • addicted to this song on piano

    so good

  • This gentleman knows his way around the Steinway Grand Piano. I find it amazing how many of our comments are that our Mothers played this melody for us as children.

  • Bravo

  • wow

  • how beautiful :o

  • Just phenomenal.

  • what grade is this??

  • @isabelle981 you're retarded. At least inbreeding has gifted you with extra fingers to play with.

  • @hjenkinz pfft<3 Love the stuck-up response. I too am a /real/ pianist who's lessons cost more than $15 an hour. lol<3

  • @LookinForMoon go die

  • @hjenkinz dont affend him

  • @isabelle981 grade 10

  • @TheDereksh is it not grade 9 ?

  • @PhoenixS4444 nope

  • Lo mejor del video desde 0:01 hasta 5:42 (presiona 0 para repetir)

The best of the video 0:01 to 5:42 (press 0 and repeat!!!!)

    PD: Necesito un cigarrillo

  • My mother used to play this for me-so beautiful (tears)

  • Uffffff.... Por favor un Vino.

  • want it 1080p. :'/

  • the most awesome song ever

  • Cheer up my sunshine, we are each others destiny . <3

  • THE BEST PART 0:01 - 5:42

  • @DNatz369 lol :D

  • @DNatz369 rather, 0:07 (because that's where the music starts)-5:30 (because that's where the music ends)

  • @PianoDude1011 just listen the music!!!

  • It's hard to believe that when this song first came out it was called "noise" by its critics.

  • @arivas713 Well, that's because you find idiots in every moment of history and also, taste comes with experience :)

  • Unbelievable pianist, just awesome rendition of this piece...

and Omg i love the sound of that Steinway...i want one ..

    Thank you for sharing :)

  • 13 people have no taste in great music.

  • I had to go to the hospital after watching this, because of dehydration from crying.

  • Esta es ......una hermosa composición que brota desde lo mas profundo del alma y el espíritu. Gracias a todo lo mas bello que Dios nos da para ser felices !!!

    Excelente ejecución !!!

  • i'm 2 and i like this music

  • i'm black and i like this type of music

  • @fitzay32 You can like whatever music you want, it knows no skin color

  • @Ratstarification music is universal, it's soul of humanity

  • Perfect time

  • debussy is a master.

clair de lune is a masterpiece.

thomas labe has done it amazing justice.

    my favourite part?

    0:00 to 5:42 <3

  • Best interpretation for me,far best :)

  • I want this played at my wedding & funeral

  • Favourite piece of music ever:) <3

  • Ugh just seeing twilight videos associated with this beautiful piece disgusts me.

  • This performance is great because he doesn't rush it. It's pretty hard to make Clair de Lune unenjoyable but listening to it played too fast is such a bummer.

  • 2:00 the most amazing thing you can ever hear.

  • This is one of the most amazing performances I've ever heard. He plays beautifully and I'm sure it has a lot to do with that piano too. One of the absolute best!

I agree with the previous comment as well. Becoming one with the music must be an unspeakable feeling....

  • i bet there is nothing else in the world he thinks of when he plays piano.. imagine feeling that, like complete satisfaction. Being one with the piano.. i bet its something everyone dreams of. Like lust for instance... Perfection.

  • I PLAY. NOT AS GOOD AS HE. IF YOU CAN NOT FEEL HIS HEART IN THE MUSIC YOU ARE DEAD

  • You know a song's beautiful when you can phisically feel it in your heart.

  • Beautifully played(: and is this grade 10 piano?

  • How can this guy play with a watch? I find that extremely uncomfortable. btw great interpretation.

  • Superbe. Beautiful :)

  • This is my favorite composition. I never get tired of it. I listen to it before I go to sleep. It brings me painful memories, but I don't care- I love it.

  • Sound quality isn't the best, but it was very very well played in this video, he does a great job on his dynamics and this video helps me know how I would like to play this piece.

  • I really want to learn this on piano. It's beautiful <3

  • @Rolosmakemegohyper if u can't read sheet music fluently download synthersia (free software) and the MIDI file for it... there both easy to find on google

  • @MrParsleylion Thanks :') It's my "summer project" now :D

  • beautiful

  • Voici l'oeuvre talentueuse d'un Français

  • Steinway and Sons......I want one *Sad face*

  • your hands look like the hands on my learn to play piano DVD

  • it touch deep inside mine heart ...

  • so perfect! so beautiful!

  • PERFECT!!!!! =] I love the tempo you did I love the passion you put into it. I loveeeee it!! I play it in a similar way but I still need to learn like half of it! XD

  • hmm slightly different to how i like to play the opening... prefer to hold on to the dissonances a little bit more

i'll upload a video of me doing this when i've ironed all the little creases :)

  • This man really did this piece justice. He has earned the right to play such a delicate piece of music, it makes me scared to play it but at the same time makes me want to make a sound as good as this. Man I'd love to sit down with this man and listen to him talk and play

  • beautiful rendition.... love the mix of emotions the piece is capable of producing when played with an open mind... Debussy was amazing!

  • Its a little slow ,but as "whifraz " says each pianist has their own take on the peice. I do lke his passion on the corner stone movement of the peice . Bravo !

  • it seems to be so easy. believe me it's not, i will not get as good as this before a while !!

  • He makes this flow so beautifully. Very dramatic!

  • For the 12 people that "dislike" this, the only taste you have is in your mouth and I'm betting I couldn't trust that either.

  • I want those Fingers! :D

  • it took me a while to find this slower version which is, in my oppinion, much less rushed. this piece is so calming, but i find the faster variations have the opposit effect. this is a great performance, and i would have loved to have been there to see it live!

  • beautiful

  • I can't stop listening to it... it's so magic...

  • Beautiful... This is the best song ever... I also love the Boston Pops Orchestra's version too!

  • I believe this at Juiliard ! I went there a few weeks ago and watched him preform!

  • this is beautiful! (lllllll)

  • beautiful, sounds a bit like the way I play it and personally I like this much more than the faster tempo people normally play it. I've always found that Debussy pieces are meant to be interpretive rather than reading it straight from the sheet music.

  • This performance is incredible. I play it over and over and still can't seem to get enough of the emotions that I feel from the music and the pianist.

  • @msmiley01 Keep practicing =) eventually once you get good enough, your fingers just pick up the emotion that you feel. I've been practicing for like 5 months to get it PERFECT and I'm almost there.

  • On of the best performances I've ever heard!

  • Super Performance!

  • that music is so beautiful, his hands move so gracefully...

  • Beautiful...simply beautiful.

  • hermoso

  • I always thought that the normal tempo was a bit too fast. I thought I was alone in the fact that I like letting some notes ring out. Refreshing to see this guy had the same idea

  • I use to hold my baby girl in my arms every night and play this for her till she fell asleep. The just sit and be thankful for the love I was given. She is 7 now and I still do that. I love my little girl so much.

  • Absolutely stunning. You my friend, have raw talent. The timing was spot on, you played every note flawlessly, and the emotion was just oozing from the keys.

    Perfect.

  • Video response is Clair de Lune

  • quite hard piece
